I never had a chance to try Kool-Aid as a kid; my childhood staple drink mixer was Ribena. However, I heard the name for a very long time and remembered to pick one up from the grocery store when I moved to Canada.
For some reason I decided to pick the Watermelon flavoured mixer, thinking how bad could it be? When I got home and after packing away the groceries, I decided to try it out. So, I poured myself a glass of iced water, squirted a bit of the Kood-Aid mixer in, and took a sip.
The initial reaction was "What the hell is this?". It did not taste of watermelon at all, but rather a strong mix of artificial flavorings (I don't even know how to describe the taste, really...). I know drink mixers aren't particularly healthy and neither am I cautious about these things, but hey, if you're gonna drink something artificial, at least make it taste good.
I definitely would not recommend this item and I will not be purchasing this in the future.

If there was one dish liquid detergent missing all my life, it was this one. I first bought this 6 months ago, when I found it on special, during our weekly grocery trip. I was the girl who didn't really think detergent would be all that different when it comes to dishes. Boy, was I wrong.
In our home, we have a bad habit of leaving dishes overnight, and with some foods, it's a real pain in the rear end to scrub the following day. Dawn Ultra Platinum claims to power away stuck on food in seconds, and it definitely does. You should have seen my eyes when it powered through some stubborn stuck-on dried food!
Also, with it's tough cleansing power, it actually made me use less detergent, meaning a bottle lasts me longer than any bottle did before (I am the type who once figured: the more, the better).
With really, really tough stains, I generally soak the dishes/pans in hot water filled with this soap overnight, and the next day, a gentle scrub with the sponge does the trick.
I can now proudly say I am a Dawn convert. No more dollar-store dish soap ever!

If there's only one thing you should know about me and beauty products, is that I am completely addicted to the ones that have squee aka cute packaging.
When I was living in Australia, I used to shop on Yesstyle and enjoyed browsing through the Asian cosmetic brands available. That was when I fell upon Tony Moly's lip balm collection and couldn't take my eyes off of it and within a couple of days, I bought not only one, but two! One cherry and the other, blueberry.
As with any new cosmetics, I tried it out immediately. The first thing I noticed was the smell. It didn't really smell like cherries, but leaning more towards the 'peach' fragrance. Not to mention, the colour of the balm itself was peach pink. To be honest, I was just a little put off by the smell of the balm itself. The Blueberry flavored balm, was a much darker pink and left a more prominent colour on the lips. Smell-wise, it wasn't really what I was expecting at all, albeit better than the Cherry.
In regards to effectiveness, it works like any other balm. I tend to leave mine on the nightstand for easy reach, and apply it prior to sleep. If I put a generous amount, it normally ends up still being on the following morning, so no dry lips!
Would I buy this again if it ran out? Probably not (maybe the peach-flavored so I can finish off my cute container set!). However, if you're looking for an eye-catching lip balm, this is definitely one that'll start a conversation amongst your girlfriends!

My addiction to all-things-cute, made me buy two: one in Honey, and the other Strawberry.
The first flavor I tried was strawberry, and when it first arrived, the first thing I did was to pop open the lid: it comes with a itsy-bitsy, clear honey-dipper spatula! This is great because I get a little paranoid when it comes to sticking fingers into open-top lip balms. Just think of all the germs and where your hands have been..
The smell of strawberries are always nice, though nothing out of the ordinary. The texture/consistency of the balm, is more gel/jelly like. I personally like the texture and how it feels. Also, it gives a sheer glossy sheen. So far, so good. That was until I opened up the honey-flavored pot the next day.
HOLY. MOLY. x_x
Instantly then, I fell in love with the slight, honey scent that made it almost smell natural.
If there's anything bad to say about these babies, it's pretty much the fact that the container itself is on the bulkier side, taking more room than say, a regular chap-stick. Even though I love the applicator, it can be a bit of a hassle: taking it out, taking off the lid, dip in balm, apply, close lid, put applicator back and finally close the top compartment. Sometimes I just a quick twist-apply-twist action.
Otherwise, if you're looking for a quality lip balm with one of the cutest and unique packaging concept out there, this one is for you.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE CETAPHIL! This product has played an integral role in my beauty routine. Back when I was a teenager experimenting with make-up, my mother recommended it to me as an all-purpose cleanser. I primarily use it as a make-up remover, and occasionally use it for what it is.
I'm the sort of girl that prefers a multipurpose product - why pay for eye make-up remover, when you can get a product which cleanses and remove make-up?
Personally, I find it a bit pricey, although it lasts forever (unless you're the sort that wears make-up on the daily, or actually use it as a cleanser). I personally don't, because I'm used to the foamy cleansers. But on the days that I actually do decide to use it as a cleanser, I rinse it off and even without the usual foamy lather, my skin feels squeaky clean. I have yet to use it without water (how great is that?).
This is one product I can see myself using for decades to come.
