I was a little sceptical of buying this as the price is a bit much and I don’t know about these individual companies (Mary Kay, Avon etc...) and their claim to ‘natural and safer ingredients’. I got a sample at a home party and was instantly hooked. I noticed that when I wear other brands (maybeline etc..) I get itchy eyes by days end. With Arbonne I don’t. I guess the ingredients really do matter. It makes my lashes long as if I have falsies on. I like how it washes right off with a few gentle rubs and doesn’t leave residue. Again, this is due to the ingredients. Yes it is a bit pricier than say maybelline but good products cost money. Ive tried name brand such as smashbox, YSL for $30-55!! Very itchy and irritated eyes. I’m slowly learning that safer ingredients is better for your overall long term health. Just the smell between this and my other brands is different. I just got it so not sure how long it will last but I’m sure 3 months at least. -

Got this as a free sample from Benefit. After the first use it was like I had fake lashes on! I was very impressed. It glides on easily. It doesn’t give that clumpy/ chunky look. Can’t believe how long my lashes got. It lasts all day and doesnt start to flake. I also find that it washes off nicely, you don’t need to rub for hours! Though a bit more expensive than drugstore brand, it’s worth it. One of the best higher name brands for sure! -

I don’t have sensitive skin per se, but I decided to use cerave moisturizers as they are for sensitive skin and I try to avoid products with a lot of chemicals and what not. I’m a big believer in SPF and decided to try this as it’s a moisturizer and 30 spf which is a bonus. So I thought. I do believe this line is very good, but unfortunately I am not a fan of this particular product. I found it took a while to blend in and left a lot of white streaks. But the biggest issue was that it left my skin beyond oily right from the start. Typical of the heavy sunscreens. I tried to powder the shine away but I just felt that my face was heavy. It doesn’t have a strong scent so that is a bonus but I find it to be too thick and not a good daytime light moisturizer feel. So, because of this, I would not recommend nor purchase this product again. But it might work for others as we are all different and can deal with or handle after affects differently. -

This is my fave mascara!! It doesn’t give the tarantula look ( though I make sure to smooth it out and not over do it). This gives lashes a fuller look with just a few sweeps. It curls great too. I’ve used name brands (Smashbox etc...) and I prefer this product. It has a better effect IMO. I get regular as oppose to waterproof and I find it washes off nicely and does t leave dark smudges under eyes. Having said that, dont wear this mascara if you will be crying! It runs quite fast. This usually goes on sale at Walmart for about $6 and it lasts a good month. I usually change mascaras often just to avoid bacteria build up on the brush. -

I love these Dove body washes for many reasons. Here they are:
-always on sale and have coupons available
-great scents and varieties (sensitive skin, fresh, extreme moisture)
-it really works! I have dry skin especially in the colder months. A few washes and I notice a difference. My skin is more softer and hydrated. I do use a moisturizer but this definitely helps. I’ve got hard water and that strips moisture right out of skin, Dove definitely helps.
-lasting fresh scent on skin.

I went to Sephora and had a demo make over as I was in dire need of a good quality foundation. After trying a few brands, I found this one to be quite good. It smooths easily with fingers or blending sponges. It covers well. I find that it doesn’t leave heavy creases or has a cakey feel or look to it. But this is only if I use a modest amount for everyday wear. When going to a function I use a lot more. Still, it doesnt have that heavy feel to it. After a few hours I do get a bit oily but I use a powder to touch up. I like how they have tons of shades so finding an almost perfect match it quite easy. They have different categories such as neutral base or red or yellow base (depending on your skin type. I use R120 I believe as I have a bit of rosacea. I’ve used other brands both lower and higher end (L’Oréal vs Laura marcier) and I find this to be the best fit for me and has a natural non heavy look and feel to it. I’d say to try a demo to see how you look and feel. It is on the pricey side, over $50, but mine has lasted for almost a year, even more. I use it almost everyday. -

I’m not bashing smashbox in any way as I have a few other products that I like from them. I find that this primer doesn’t do what it’s supposed to for me. It may be my skin type, but I find that my foundation doesn’t sit or settle well. I find I have more creases and my pores are more exposed. It creates a lot of oil after a few hours of wear. I might need a different type (I know smashbox has a few other primers), but this one just doesn’t sit well. I have combo skin, oily/dry depending on weather or environment. It’s a matter of trial and error. At shoppers (ontario) they have sample packs. I’d suggest to ask for one to see before spending money on this product or get a demo at Sephora. It just doesn’t work for me but I’m sure it works for others. Just have to match right skin type or concealer/foundation type. Due to this reason I will not purchase in the future but do purchase other smashbox products. -

I got a sample from ChickAdvisor to try!! This hydra gel cream works pretty good. after washing my face, I apply a small amount before putting on some foundation/press powder/ concealer or nothing at all. I find it absorbs fairly well and my skin feels instantly hydrated. The times I used it after a work day, I find that my t zone is oily. It could be the recent wave of warmer weather we’ve had or the environment I’m in, but a dusting of powder fixes it right up. I haven’t gotten any irritations. It has a nice light scent. I wouldn’t mind using this and my current moisturizer interchangeably. -

I was lucky enough to be chosen to try this product and I’m glad I did! It leaves a cooling feeling on your face, probably because it is a gel base. It absorbs fairly well and doesn’t leave white streaks or blobs. The one thing I like about it is that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy and oily. I’ve purchased both facial and body sunscreens from department stores thinking since it’s a ‘name brand’ , it’s got to be good, right? Wrong! Very greasy and oily. I used Neutrogena during the weekend that was sunny here in the GTA, I only applied it once. Lightweight feel and no shine! No burn either! It’s a pretty good price for its size. I didn’t get any reactions or irritations. Not sure if it comes in different levels, but I prefer higher SPF levels anyhow. Glad to have been able to try and will continue to purchase. -

I’ve tried makeup remover wipes from different brands (Simple, Marcelle) and just tried this one as I was selected for the product review club (thanks ChickAdvisor!). Neutrogena is the best and not just saying that because I was chosen. Other brands leave a greasy film I found. These wipes get most make up off. I add a bit of water and I hold it on my lashes for a few seconds to moisten then gently keep wiping and wiping. Takes mascara off much better I find (not waterproof though). Though a cleanser of some sort and water work the best to clean your face of makeup, using these wipes as a quick cleanser before bed if you are too tired does the trick. It even gets right under the eye to remove excess liner or mascara that smudged, that cause the look of crying eyes I call it! I just found it made my skin feel dry after but that could be just my skin type. They are reasonably priced too. -
