I think this George's is the first in the Peg. The meals are very big. My wife and I can completely fill up on one Greek salad and burger. The burger-chili adds a strange taste and I would personally rather leave it out, but that is my opinion... +
I think this George's is the first in the Peg. The meals are very big. My wife and I can completely fill up on one Greek salad and burger. The burger-chili adds a strange taste and I would personally rather leave it out, but that is my opinion. The fries are very good and with gravy, one of my person favs. Not a fancy restaurant just good food at a very good price. We usually pay under 15 bucks for drinks and a full meal for two. Can't beat that too often these days. -

It is a short walk from Gimli harbour and during the warmer months is well located for a stroll down the beach boardwalk. A gem restaurant. Truly outstanding.

I have a feeling the chefs at Ichi Ban are laughing all the way to their banks. The food is OK, but the real point is the show. They juggle the salt and pepper shakers, make funny jokes and generally take your mind off of the small bland portions of food. I went their hungry and after eating I left almost as hungry, only a few bucks poorer to prove it. A nice restaurant to visit but don't get caught up thinking that the show is about fine food. -

I like the varied tastes available but unfortunately my waist says NO. Once a month is more than enough. A really nice place to hang out with friends. I found the service was reasonable to on the slow side but nothing to complain about.

I took my Mom and Dad to this establishment and was very unimpressed. The food wasn't that good and especially the shrimp appetizer I ordered (one shrimp - no kidding). I found the prices really high and the portions where under-whelming. I think the next time Benjamins will be our next visit. Not recommended unless they improve their quantities vs price.
An aside to this review: I understand the restaurant is under new management so...

My wife and I went to the Star restaurant Assiniboine Conservatory today and I must admit it was a really nice experience. The shrimp pasta special was excellent. There where a few ingredients which made the meal an outstanding delight and I honestly can't identify them but rest assured it was really worth the trip. The Greek salad was also very well prepared with fresh veggies and a very nice dressing. Be prepared; this is now an upscale establishment and the price is on the borderline of over expensive given the portion sizes, which I thought was rather small for the price.
Will I go back? A good question. Yes - but not often given the issues with small portions and high pricing.

The Line up actually had no line up today. I ordered the chicken pita and was very happy with both the quality and helping size. Done just the way you want it with your choice of veggies, dressing and drink. I would recommend this place for a quick meal at lunch. The location is really kind a cool too, stuck in between two roads which gives the restaurant a sort of triangle look. I'll be going back. -
