I recently got a sample of LaCoupe's Orgnx Brazilian Keratin Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner in the mail, and gave it a try. I found I needed to use quite a bit of shampoo to get a decent lather, which can be irritating, especially when you have short hair to begin with and shouldn't need a lot of shampoo. The conditioner was nice and creamy, and both smell great. My hair felt super smooth as I was washing the conditioner out. Then I let my hair dry naturally, and after it was dry and I brushed it, my hair went full on static mode. I was pretty disappointed, especially since the product is supposed to make your hair, "frizz free..." However, my hair did feel really clean, like it had been stripped of any product buildup, but also maybe took some natural oils, leading to my static frizz problem. The shampoo and conditioner are part of a broader system of about 6 products, so perhaps when paired with everything else you would get a better hair balance at the end of the process, but I'm a simple girl, I have simple hair, and I don't think I should have to use 6 things on my hair to make it behave, when other brands of shampoo & conditioner do the job on their own just fine. I Wouldn't buy it, but I can see how it might work for someone who has a frizz problem to begin with, or coarse or curly hair. It's not for me though. -

Tonight I was out shopping, and my lips were so chapped they felt like they were burning; and the more I licked them to get some moisture onto them, of course, the worse they got. My daughter had eaten the last of the lip balm I had had, so I had nothing on me :( I have to say I was a sucker for the packaging- the tubes and colours are super cute! I went for the peach one. It smells fan-TASTIC, and it adds a faint, shimmery tint, which I like, but I wish it was a pinkier peach instead of the darkish nude colour that it is. But no worries. Not the reason I bought it. It goes on smooth, although not as smooth as some others I have used. It's a bit pricey for chapstick, but I scooped one on sale for $3.67, and even then, there seems to be more in the tube than your average balm, which would make it more worth the price. In any case, I like it, my lips feel better, and I will probably try the cherry one at some point to see how much it tints my lips :) -

I got a sample of Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream in the mail, and I was so excited to try it, because there was so much hype surrounding it. There was a good amount in the sample, so I could use it for several days in a row which was great, because I could see how the product was when used consistently. It went on very smoothly and a little went a long way; When used on it's own I found it added a luminosity, for sure, which was nice because my skin is very unevenly coloured; but I also found it made my skin quite greasy feeling, especially as the day progressed. Then my skin went from luminous to oily-looking, Not so good, and I had to loose-powder my face to absorb some of the oil. I liked the results a bit better when I used it under a light foundation- it seemed to act kind of like a primer and helped to even my skin tone even more. Overall I liked the concept of the product more than the results, and don't think I would pay almost $20 for something that made my face feel that oily :( -

I tried both the waterproof and regular versions of Falsies Volum' Express Mascara. I'm not sure if I had a defective tube of waterproof mascara, but for some reason I had a lot of clumping issues that I did not have with the regular kind. I did like how both types made my lashes look thicker, but it didn't really contribute to length any. I did like it enough to buy it more than once, and the price is pretty much exactly the same as the next brand, so it is not overpriced. I did wish the waterproof version didn't clump so badly though, because typically I do prefer waterproof mascara. -
I love St.Ives Apricot Scrub- I find it exfoliates really well without drying out my skin. It leaves my skin feeling very soft, and it's very reasonably priced. I have used other scrubs, but I always end up coming back to St. Ives!
