I recently received the PowerBar Plant Protein snack bars in Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Cashew, Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate, and Almond, Sea Salt & Dark Chocolate. Each bar has 10-11g of plant protein, 28-32% of the recommended daily intake of fibre, and 10-15% of the recommended daily intake of iron. Did I mention they taste good? Because they taste good, with ingredients you can clearly see. Cashews are my favourite nut and so I'm a bit partial to this one. As someone who needs more protein in my diet, this snack bar makes it easier and better tasting. #PowerBarPlantProtein #gotitfree -

I recently received the PowerBar Plant Protein snack bars in Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Cashew, Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate, and Almond, Sea Salt & Dark Chocolate. The almond/sea salt/dark chocolate bar has 10g of protein and a good amount of iron, which I appreciate. I like that you can actually 'see' the ingredients in these bars instead of having a solidified chunk of who knows what covered in chocolate. Almonds, rice, pumpkin seeds all look tempting! I am grateful that there are no artificial sugars in these bars - give me a small amount of real, even refined sugar over the fake stuff anyday! #PowerBarPlantProtein #gotitfree -

I recently received the PowerBar Plant Protein snack bars in Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Cashew, Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate, and Almond, Sea Salt & Dark Chocolate. The peanut butter and dark chocolate one is definitely my favourite, although I liked them all. It has 11g of plant protein (the other 2 have 10g), and has a good amount of fibre and iron, which definitely helps out as I am prone to anemia and need to increase my protein intake. The fat content and caloric value is somewhat high, but as I often skip breakfast (bad, I know), these are a good and quick snack to help fill the deficit. #PowerBarPlantProtein #gotitfree -

I have been using the Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer as part of a product testing campaign provided to me by ChickAdvisor for free in return for my review, along with the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation and Mineral Brush #11.
Normally I find it a bit of a pain to use primers, as they take awhile to dry down (or don't, in some cases), and as I normally use powder foundations they can make it look streaky if not completely dry. Many primers also have a good amount of silicone, which smoothes the surface of my skin, but also can make products feel as though they may slide right off. The Nude by Nature Perfecting primer is silicone free and sets quickly, allowing me to apply the powder within just a minute or two. I REALLY appreciate this! I find that my makeup provides more coverage with the use of the primer, and lasts quite well throughout the day.
This product has a mild, pleasant, non-chemical smell and does not cause breakouts or other reactions from my skin. I'm very happy with the Nude by Nature line, and will very likely purchase it when I run out.

I received the Nude by Nature Mineral Brush #11 from ChickAdvisor for free to test with the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation. This is a great compact brush with very soft bristles and a nice density for buffing powder products into the skin without overdoing it. For fuller coverage of powder foundations, I would recommend a more densely bristled brush, or you can hold this one at the base of the bristles for a heavier application. This brush would also be great for blush and bronzer. Lovely addition to my brush collection! -

I received the new Nude by Nature Radiant Loose Powder Foundation in the shade N2 Classic Beige from ChickAdvisor for free to test. I was very happy to be part of this campaign, as my go-to powder foundation that I use daily has been discontinued, and finding a replacement isn't easy. I am fair with neutral undertones, and luckily I chose the right shade!
I am happy to say that I love this powder and will be using it as my daily foundation from now on, and will purchase it when I run out. The powder is extremely finely milled and soft, does not look dusty or chalky on the skin, and has a nice smooth finish. It lasted all day on my combination skin, and can be built up from sheer to high medium coverage depending on the type of brush you apply it with. I also appreciated the simple but pretty jar, and the dispenser kept the powder from getting too messy. The lid is designed to prevent powder from collecting when the jar is closed (see photo).
The Nude by Nature Radiant Loose Powder Foundation is talc free and non-drying even on my winter skin. I am so happy to have found a new staple product for daily use!

I received the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Blonde for review from ChickAdvisor. I was excited to try this product for a couple of reasons - I have a silver/white streak in my hair that I've had since I was a kid, and as I have very fine hair, the lack of pigment where that hair grows out of my scalp looks like a bare patch (see photo), which makes me self conscious! I have what I would call medium golden blonde hair, and in some lights it has some copper strands. The Dark Blonde colour in this product wasn't an exact match, but I think it is the closest I will get, and you'd have to look pretty hard to notice.
There were no instructions included with the spray, just the warning on the can to shake well before using. There is a small short tube attachment on the nozzle to help with directing the colour to a specific area. As I am a newbie to this, I was a bit too trigger happy on the first try, but a light combing helped distribute the product. My silver streak covered nicely, but even better was that it no longer looked like I had a bare spot on my head where my part was. My hair did look a little less shiny where the product Was, and there was definitely some transfer even after I let it fully dry (see my white paper test photo!), but both of these issues were solved with a light misting of a shine boosting hair spray.
The only way I could like this product more would be if it lasted longer than one wash, and if it came in a few more shades for hair with different undertones. Otherwise I really enjoy this product and will very likely buy it once I run out.

I was excited to try the göt2b Head Turner hair color spray in Candy Cotton, as I have never really played around with dyes outside the more natural shade range. After receiving the package from ChickAdvisor and reading the instructions, I was ready to go!
Well...almost.
Being a newbie to spray-in dye, I made sure to read the box, the bottle, and the insert to ensure that something horrible wouldn't happen due to my inexperienced hands. However, I ended up confused. One side of the box said to rinse hair thoroughly after applying colour. Ok! The other side of the box, however, said to leave in and blow dry. Oh, well on to the bottle. Bottle says to rinse thoroughly. Hmm. Insert? A diagram with a woman applying the colour, then standing in the shower. Huh. I looked up a few videos on similar products, and no one seemed to be rinsing out the product after applying it, so I decided to go that route, as since it is supposed to wash out within 3 washes, it makes sense that you wouldn't start by rinsing it, right? Right! Ready to go!
Feeling smug because I just happened to have a pink towel to drape around myself to avoid any potential nuclear pink fallout on my skin, I proceeded to spritz my hair with what I assumed would be a fairly fine mist (although the product is not in aerosol form).

Ah. Ok, the spray nozzle was not the most user friendly thing ever, and the colour rocketed out in unpredictable fashion, but that's fine since I'm saturating and combing through anyway. The scent was pleasant and non-chemical. About half a bottle later, my hair (fine and somewhat thin) was duly soaked, as was my scalp, bathtub, the walls, some of the floor, and the now even-pinker towel. Excellent, well at least my hair will be good and pink!
And, in certain light, it was. Sort of. More of a tint. Not a tint like you see on sunglasses, but sort of an afterthought that hangs around after the party is over. My hair is a medium golden blonde depending on the light, so I wasn't expecting 'girl on the box pink', but this was more 'put a red sock in a load of grey clothes' pink. So perhaps a bit of a rose gold hint (see photo of first attempt).
Not to be defeated by a less than vibrant result (yes I know, this is pastel, not bright dye), I decided the next day to take it up a level. Obviously I hadn't used enough. This time, to heck with the spray bottle. I carefully pulled my hair back into a ponytail, emptied some of the dye into a little bowl (looks like cherry KoolAid!), and dunked the pony. Submerged it. Swished it. Got a cramp in my arm. Still held it in there. Great! Took the ponytail out of the bowl, let it drip into the sink, then blotted a bit with paper towel and let air dry on the pink towel. This would really show a difference, as my ponytail was completely drenched but the rest of my hair wasn't. There would be obvious delineation where the dye started.
Nope.
At this point I assumed either my hair was simply too dark to really show this colour, or was pranking me. Maybe both. As the photo shows however (2nd attempt) there was honestly no difference. If anything, my hair just looks a bit strawberry-ish.
But the good news was that, as washed out as it looked in my hair, it washed out even easier from the bathtub, walls, floor, towel, and my scalp.
Final thoughts: I'm happy to have tried this product, and on super light hair I think it would be pretty. It just didn't really do much for me. Instructions were contradictory which I feel is an issue. Application was easy but messy, a cream would have been easier. Product was a pretty pink shade on everything but my hair. I'm still smug that I had that pink towel.

The Premier Protein Vanilla Shake provides 30g of protein in a convenient, 160 calorie, 325ml size, which is perfect for throwing into your bag from the fridge. I found the vanilla flavour a little bit artificial tasting, but certainly not bad. The texture was smooth, no grittiness as some protein powders cause, and not very thick. The scent was a bit strange, but again not bad. The Premier Protein shakes are definitely something that I would use to help maintain a healthy intake of protein while enjoying a drink at the same time. The plastic cap prevents leaks, and they fit easily into the smaller holder in the door of my fridge. I recommend this product! #gotitfree #tryPremierProtein -

The Premier Protein Chocolate Shake was just what I needed to boost my protein intake in a delicious way. The taste was almost exactly like chocolate milk, and did not have a powdery texture or strange aftertaste. I haven't been eating very well due to illness, and my doctor recently advised that I increase my iron and protein intake, so this was perfect timing. With 160 calories, 30g of protein, and a nice 325ml size, I would have one of the shakes in the afternoon or evening, when I tend to get most things done. I appreciated that this product was resealable with a cap, as the first day I tried it, I only drank half of the shake. Convenient, tastes great - I would recommend this! #gotitfree #tryPremierProtein -
