I have been using the Arm & Hammer Slide Easy Clean-Up Clumping Litter (Multi-Cat) for the past week for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I was excited to have my kitties try this product out, as I have 5 rescue cats and we clean 2 litter boxes twice a day. Any product that makes things cleaner and more efficient is a plus! Although the product wasn't yet available at my local store on my first trip, it was on my next visit, and I was able to redeem the coupon.
I am used to buying the 18kg boxes of store brand litter for about $8, so as the Arm & Hammer Slide is about 6kg and listed at $12.99 at my store, it's quite a bit more expensive for a third of the amount of product. That said, after using the Arm & Hammer for a week now, it is definitely superior in quality, even though they are both clay based formulas. The first major advantage is that liquid is trapped before it hits the bottom of the litter pan, making it much easier to scoop out the lumps without having to scrape away at the bottom. This litter is also more effective at eliminating odors - one of my cats is elderly with irritable bowel syndrome, and it can be hazardous being in the same room when she's doing her business, lol! (hence why we clean the litters so often) This litter definitely helps with that, and as it's a finer texture, it covers better. Sorry if that's too much information, but we are talking about cat litter! :) Even though it is finer in texture than most litters, it seems to cause less tracking, and therefore less sweeping. Yay!
The only reason that I would hesitate in switching brands at this point is that we go through a lot of litter. Slide causes us to use less and waste less, yes, but with 5 cats it still goes quickly. I would like to see a bigger case than 6kg, and perhaps a lower price. However, the box I got also came with a coupon for $2 off for a future purchase. If I had 2-3 cats and lived in a smaller place such as an apartment, I would definitely switch to Slide. For now, I'll have to do a bit more mulling over the cost vs benefits for my situation. Great product, and will buy it again with the coupon to continue trying it once the litters get too low. Two paws up. #GotItFree

I have used a couple of micellar water formulas in the past, and generally ended up saving them for a quick cleanse in the morning as they were not very effective in removing all of my makeup. I am VERY happy with the NIVEA 3-in-1 Micellar Water! Not only did it remove foundation, blush, and brow product, but more impressively my waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick, which the others decidedly did not. To top it off, my eyes didn't sting at all after using this formula, which is unheard of as I have grumpy eyeballs. I'm happy to have found something that can be used as a quick freshener or to remove a full face of makeup, while feeling clean with no residue afterwards. I am really impressed with Nivea's recent products! -

I was happy to try the NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer (for Normal Skin), as I liked the idea of not having to use a separate moisturizer and primer prior to everyday makeup. Too many layers, no matter how much time in between or how thinly I spread the product, tends to produce a cakey look or cause foundation to not spread as well - defeating the purpose! I have fairly normal skin with a bit of oiliness in the centre of my forehead and nose throughout the day.
The texture of the moisturizing primer is nice, it's a 'bouncy' gel cream formula, and absorbs well into my skin without leaving a tacky residue. Yay! I can apply my makeup almost immediately after applying this product. While it doesn't claim to be a mattifying primer, I didn't notice much oiliness throughout the day, and my makeup didn't separate or crease. The scent is very pleasant and the gel cream feels cooling on the skin which is a bonus. The only minor thing that I would prefer would be for it to come in a pump-style container instead of a jar, but that's a personal preference. I actually appreciate that there is no SPF in the primer, as I use my own which doesn't contain ingredients that can interfere with the moisturizing or priming components.
Overall, I recommend this primer, and would purchase!

I received the Vichy Pureté Thermale Skin Renewing Creamy Scrub from @ChickAdvisor to test for @VichyCanada as part of a product review. This scrub is a different type of formula than I am used to - while it exfoliates with tiny micro-beads, it has a cream base which softens the skin at the same time. The scent is pleasant and my skin feels soft after using this product, however I still prefer my enzyme powders as my exfoliating step to my routine. -

I was fortunate to receive the Vichy Pureté Thermale Cleansing Gel from @ChickAdvisor to review for @VichyCanada. This product has quickly become a favourite cleanser, and is perfect for summer! The gel formula creates a soft lather that rinses clean, and removes my makeup very well. I particularly like the light fresh scent, and that it doesn't make my skin feel stripped of moisture. It's a little luxury and practicality all at once, and I will definitely purchase it in the future. #VichyWorksForMe! -

I received the Vichy Pureté Thermale Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover from @ChickAdvisor for free to test as part of a product review for @VichyCanada. My usual eye makeup routine is fairly simple - mascara and maybe a neutral shadow. I do have issues with not being able to get my mascara off completely with my regular cleanser/makeup remover without rubbing at my eyes, so I was happy to try something new! In my photo (sorry for my bathroom light turning me orange!) I had waterproof concealer under my eyes, an eyeshadow primer, 2 eyeshadow shades and my regular waterproof mascara. As you can see, I removed one side only to show the result. It took both sides of a saturated cotton pad to completely remove my eye makeup, however there were no traces or smudges left, no blurry vision, and no oily residue left on my skin. I give this eye makeup remover a big thumbs up, would definitely recommend it for easily irritated eyes, and would definitely purchase it in the future. #VichyWorksForMe #GotItFree -

I received the Adrien Gagnon Super Energex ampoules for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. Described as a 'Daily Energy Support', this product is a good Vitamin B supplement, as well as containing kola nut, Siberian ginseng, China red ginseng, suma, ashwagandha, and maca root. Each ampoule is to be mixed in half a glass of water or juice, and I would recommend juice, as although it is listed as being orange flavoured, I find it rather strong and not entirely pleasant tasting!
As for the energy claims, I have just been getting over a flu virus, and I think that this did help give me a boost at a well-needed time. I have taken vitamin B supplements in the past in pill form, and I think the liquid ampoules, though not as convenient, are likely more effectively absorbed into the body. I was a bit concerned that I would feel anxious, as anything with the word 'energy' in it can sometimes go overboard for me, but that didn't happen. The workday was easier, I was less tired, but more at ease. In summary, while I find the procedure with the ampoules a bit cumbersome for my lazy self in the morning, I found that this was a good product, and will finish the remaining ampoules I have left. Will I buy it in the future? I'm undecided....but I'm glad I know it's an option!

I received the Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars (whew!) for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. They are labeled as a meal replacement, and came at a perfect time, as I am just getting over an illness and have been eating poorly with zero appetite. So these have essentially been my 'lunch' at work, stashed easily in my purse. Each bar provides a good amount of essential vitamins, minerals, fibre, and fats, and although they are dense and fudgey, it's not sickeningly sweet. Very filling, and keep me going when I'm just not interested in food. Thumbs up! -

I was selected to test the #TryVINYLUXWeekly Nail Polish System courtesy of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club, in the shade 'Wild Moss'. It was the perfect shade for me as it is a lovely shimmery green. Normally I don't bother with a top coat as I'm lazy (hee!), but the VINYLUX Weekly top coat went on smoothly and provided a nice protective layer. As neither the polish or top coat was too thick, it layered nicely without being gummy or taking ages to dry. I am hard on my hands, and noticed a couple of chips after 4 days, but am used to getting them within 1-2, so I consider that a victory. :) Nice product, great colour - would recommend and purchase in the future in different shades. -

I got to try out the Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. While I loved the corresponding shampoo, I found that this conditioner was a bit too much for my fine hair. Even with avoiding the roots of my hair and rinsing well, my hair does feel and look a bit dull and lackluster after using this conditioner. I did try using it along with a different clarifying shampoo, and I did not have the same problem, so I think just using both Dove products together were a bit 'too much' moisture? Smells great and feels nice during use. -
