I've been hesitant to try dry shampoo because I have dark hair and using baby powder turns my hair greyish at the roots. After talking to my friends about my hesitance, they recommended Batiste Dry Shampoo Beautiful Brunette. Although my hair is black in colour, the brunette dry shampoo works great for me! It is coloured dark brown and blends in naturally with my hair. The scent of the product isn't too strong; I actually quite like it even though it isn't anything special. The product itself lasts 3/4 to a full day on my super oily hair days, which is a lot longer than using baby powder. However, it does make your hair at the roots feel a little stiff, which I can imagine is like a lot of dry shampoos on the market. Overall, I recommend Batiste Dry Shampoo for people who want to go a few days between washing their hair. -

It might be a bit strange for an adult to try baby products but since we had some leftover in the office, I brought one home to try out of curiosity. I love Dove moisture bars and the moisture bar for babies is just as great. I like that it's not harsh or drying on your skin, which is great for using during harsh Canadian winters. The fact that it is a gentle formula is perfect for my skin as well. There is a distinct (but lovely) scent in the soap that babies with sensitive skin might find strong, but personally I quite like it.

These coconut cookies by Voortman are a nice mid-afternoon treat. I don't typically reach for coconut-flavoured snacks because I expect them to have the overly sweet candied coconut taste. These cookies, however, have a very flavourful fresh-tasting coconut taste. I would definitely reccomend these cookies to those who love coconut snacks! They are a hit in our office.

This cleansing balm works really well for removing stubborn eye makeup, waterproof mascara, and staining lip colours. I really like that it's a solid, so it's really easy to bring with you when you're travelling. The balm itself melts down smoothly as soon as you touch it - just like coconut oil. I've just been using my fingertips to apply the balm and it's worked really well for me. After removing makeup, I just wash my face with a regular cleanser to remove the oil and residue. The camomile scent is really nice and mild. I would definitely reccomend this product! -

This is one of the best hand creams I've used for tackling winter dryness. It is very thick and leaves your hands moisturized for a very long time. The only thing I don't like about this hand cream is that it stays greasy for a little while after you apply it, so I avoid applying it prior to when I have to type on my computer or use my phone. That being said, it's best used at night right before bed - you'll wake up with super soft, moisturized hands! -

We received this product in our office to be a part of the January ChickAdvisor Premium welcome bag, and it's definitely one of the products I'm really excited to receive (the travel size version)! It smells just like vanilla icing; it's not too strong, but not too faint. I'm not a fan of hand creams that smells overwhelmingly of the scent for hours on end, so this hand cream by Cake Beauty is just perfect!
The hand cream itself is very, very thick and moisturizing! When you squeeze the tube it comes out in a perfectly straight line - that's how thick it is! This is a really great product to have in your purse during dry, Canadian winters. I definitely reccomend this product!

This is easily the office favourite as it's the first one to be completely used up! I really like the combination of green tea and jasmine green tea - the taste is a good balance of floral flavours. I like that it brews a rich cup of tea but isn't too strong or bitter like a lot of green teas tend to be. This is my go-to tea when I don't have milk or sugar on hand to add to my regular black tea.

After seeing amazing reviews about Tarte's blush on YouTube, I decided to splurge more than I normally would to try it out. The first colour I bought was "Blissful", a warm peach colour that's perfect for summer and spring. It applies richly pigmented, but doesn't crumble in its packaging like the drugstore brands I'm used to using. The colour lasts a long time on your face, but also lasts a long time in the palette - I don't feel like I'm applying a lot to my cheeks but the colour is rich as though I have. I ended up loving Tarte blush so much that I bought the colour "Exposed" not too long after, which looks brown-y in the compact but it actually a beautiful neutral plum-y colour that is perfect for autumn and winter. I'm not too fussed about the higher price point because I think it's very much worth it! -
