Earl grey tea is one of my favourite black teas to drink. Pure Leaf loose leaf tea is great because you can control how strong or weak your tea is by the amount of leaves you put in your mug to steep. This tea brews a nice cup of earl grey, although I think the bergamot flavouring could be stronger. I like that it uses natural flavouring since so many companies now opt for cheap, unnatural flavouring.

My best friend gave me a Tangle Teezer for my birthday this year, which at first I thought was kind of funny gift because in my mind, all hairbrushes are more or less the same, right? She then told me it was endorsed by celebrities such as Emma Watson, and can be used to brush wet hair; I was intrigued!
As someone who has a bad habit of being really rough with hair, I pull and snap a lot of my hair every single time I brush it. This brush changed that because it barely pulls at your hair at all! The bristles are shorter than the standard sized hair brushes and prevents you from taking large chunks of your hair and trying to yank out tangles (which is my usual approach). This encourages you to detangle gently, but it doesn't feel like it takes longer. My favourite feature of this brush is that I can brush my hair when it is wet, and it doesn't snap my hair like my regular brushes do. When I'm able to detangle my hair while it is wet, it ends up drying much sleeker than when I have to wait for it to dry.
Another great feature of this brush is that it doesn't have a handle, making it really compact and portable. I thought that not having a handle would make it harder to use, but now I don't miss handled brushes at all. That being said, you're not encouraged to use this brush while blow drying, which is quite hard to do without a handled brush anyway.

It's really refreshing to see that more grocery store brands are offering loose leaf tea options. Loose leaf tea is more versatile in the sense that you can control how strong or weak you brew your tea by the amount of you put in your teacup to steep. That being said, this Pure Leaf Black Tea with Vanilla is a great cup of tea to brew strong! As someone who likes to drink strong teas, the flavour doesn't become bitter if you just leave the tea leaves in for a while longer. The flavour is nice and rich, and the vanilla taste is nice and smooth. I really like that Pure Leaf uses real vanilla bean as a flavouring!

In the past, I had to order BB Cream off eBay from Korea. Now that BB Cream is available in every drugstore in Canada, it makes my life a lot easier! A friend of mine recommended this cream from Maybelline because I wanted something with light coverage that also moisturized - and it does exactly that! I didn't have trouble finding a match for my skin tone as all I needed was something light, and the pigment just blended in nicely with my skin a minute after applying. It evens out blotchiness and masks pores nicely. I usually use this BB Cream under a light dusting of matte powder, and it lasts throughout the day. -

After getting my first gel manicure and experiencing the its amazing longevity, I was eager to try gel manicures at home. Of course it's hard to start buying a new collection of polish colours when you already have a whole collection of regular nail polish colours that you love. However, my coworker suggested SensatioNail's Polish to Gel Transformer - which you can use to mix with your regular nail polish to transform it to a gel formula.
I bought my bottle of transformer in a little kit that comes with a small plastic mixing pot with a lid. What I usually do is line the plastic mixing pot with tin foil, and use the brush from the transformer bottle to dollop 5-6 drops of transformer into the pot. Then I use the regular nail polish brush to drop in 5-6 drops of the colour of my choosing and mix it all together. This product works really well! Of course since the formula is clear, the regular nail polish colour gets diluted so you may end up needing an extra coat of polish or two, but that isn't a huge problem considering gel polishes cure within a minute of being under a LED lamp. I also found that my light purple polish looked more like light grey after it dried, but it wasn't a huge colour difference. With brighter colours like cherry red there wasn't a noticeable colour difference other than needing an extra coat.
Overall, I really like this, and highly recommend it to whoever wants to have the gel manicure experience at home without having to repurchase all their favourite nail polish colours.

I bought this antiperspirant stick because I like the scent of pomegranate, and because the product itself is reasonably priced. It works really well for everyday wear and it doesn't leave any visible marks on my clothing unless I wear something really dark. However, I wouldn't say it lasts 48 hours because at the end of a hot summer day, I definitely feel like I need to reapply. Other than that, I think it's a great product! -

Prior to trying this brow pencil, I was using Sephora Collection's retractable brow pencil and I found that this one is just as good for about half the cost. I really like that you don't have to sharpen the tip, and the size of the pencil itself is small enough to make hair-like strokes when filling your brows in, unlike bigger, regular-sized pencils. The spooly at the opposite end of the pencil is an added bonus for blending in your pencil strokes into your natural eyebrows. The look I use this for is very natural, but this micro pencil can be used to make bolder statement eyebrows.

This conditioner smells amazing! Although I would say it smells more like lime than coconut, it's a really wonderful scent either way. I always use matching shampoo and conditioners, and I can attest that the Dove Coconut & Hydration shampoo and conditioner work really well together. After using both, my hair feels hydrated but not weighed down or greasy. The scent of the conditioner lingers for a bit, but it is not so overpowering that you are constantly aware of it all the time.

As many people have said, this shampoo smells amazing! It definitely smells more like lime than coconut, but either way, I love using this shampoo for the smell alone. I have never used a shampoo without also using conditioner, so I can't vouch for how hydrating it is, but it does a good job of cleaning the oil and dirt from my scalp and hair without stripping it completely dry like some shampoos do. Although I received this product for free, I will definitely buy it when I run out!

For ShowCase 2016, we were given top coat, base coat, and the colours "Crimson Like It's Hot" and "Cue the Violets" to try. Overall, I was really impressed by the CND's fast-drying formula. The base coat seemed to be dry in just couple of minutes. The brush is very easy to use, and the bottle is made out of a nice, heavy glass that isn't easily tipped over like other nail polishes I've had in the past. Both "Crimson Like It's Hot" and "Cue the Violets" are really pigmented colours - and I only needed one coat on my nails to achieve a bold, non-streaky appearance (although two coats would be needed if you wanted it to be 100% opaque). The top coat is also just as great; it gives the colour a nice shine, while protecting it for a solid 4 days before minor chipping starts to show at the very tips of my nails.
