I am new to the world of micellar water and decided to try Bioderma's Hydrabio H2O Hydrating Micelle Solution. It works really well at removing the last traces of makeup, oil, and dirt from my face and around my eyes after cleansing my skin. I find that my skin feels less tacky after using it compared to other micellar water solutions - however, I find the scent/perfume too heavy for my preference and I wanted to rinse it off anyway to prevent the scent from lingering.
For people who don't mind using scented products, this micellar solution works well and doesn't dry out your skin!

I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for the first time to clean the baseboards in my bathroom and was surprised to find that it removed lots of stains, grime, and discolouration that I didn't even know I had. It was very easy to use because a little goes a long way. In fact, I just cut up the eraser into 4 pieces so that I could have more edges and surface area of the sponge to work with.
The only thing that I had issues with is that when I tried to remove an oily stain from my door, it removed some of the paint on it but the oil stain remained. I would advise people to use the eraser sparingly and in discreet places if they're not sure if it's going to remove some of the paint or not.

Essie nail polish has been my go-to polish for a long time now. Although it is higher in cost compared to regular drugstore brands, I find that it lasts a bit longer than most that I've tried in the past (4-5 days instead of 2-3 with top coat and base coat). The colour selection is always really great, which is what draws me to the collection. However, I find that some of their lighter colour cremes require three or more coats to cover up their streakiness. That being said, the darker colours don't have this problem.
* I received this product free to try as a ChickAdvisor staff member, but I have been buying Essie polish for years.

A few of my friends have been telling me about their positive experiences with natural deodorants for a while now that I've been excited but hesitant to transition into using them. During a ChickAdvisor Premium promotion, I decided to buy two natural deodorants from Well.ca. After testing both of them, this PiperWai one has to be my favourite! I've been using it since July, and found that it worked very well even though hot summer days. A fair warning - it does take a while to get used to the sheer amount of sweat you will experience after switching from anti-perspirant to a deodorant. After a few weeks or so, I felt my body get used to sweating again and I found that I didn't sweat as much as I did when I first started using the deodorant.
The scent of PiperWai deodorant is very pleasant. It does linger a bit and leaves traces of scent on my clothes, but that's not something I mind. Because it comes in a little jar, I thought it would be used up quite quickly, but you only really need to use a small pea-sized amount.
A few things that isn't perfect about this deodorant is that it does leave a very small amount of residue on your clothes - but compared to my drugstore antiperspirants, it's such a tiny amount that I'm not too bothered by it. It does appear to leave a small hint of charcoal colour on your skin, but it's such a small trace that I honestly think that you'll be the only one who notices it. On extremely hot days when you're out for the whole day sweating buckets, it does wear off and you will need to reapply. However, I found that I didn't smell as much as I would've if I just used my regular drugstore deodorant. And lastly, when it's hot the product separates in the jar and there is a small amount of oil that sits on the top of the rest of the product - it's only a small amount so it's easy to just scoop around and mix in with your finger to apply.

After cleansing my face in the shower, I often end up with a lot of eyeliner residue around my eyes that I need to take off with an eye makeup remover. I used to do that with a regular oil-based eye make up remover but recently switched over to using La Roche-Posay's micellar water and found that it worked amazingly to remove not only my eye makeup smears, but even more leftover makeup residue on my face that I didn't know I had. Since then, La Roche-Posay's micellar water has become a staple in my bedtime routine. Even when I don't wear make up during the day, I find that it removes extra oil on my T-zone while also not stripping my skin of moisture. Another added bonus is that it practically scentless compared to other micellar waters I've used in the past.
The only downside is that it is a bit on the pricier side - although considering it is a 400ml bottle, it's not unreasonable. I do wish it came in smaller, travel-sized bottles so it doesn't take up so much space in the bathroom and people who wanted to try a smaller bottle without committing to it wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

Having read so many good reviews about this Aveeno 60 Second In-Shower Facial, I decided to try it myself as it was on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart one day. The product itself smells great - it's light and pleasant and doesn't linger too long so that it's overwhelming. The scrubbing beads are very fine so that you can feel them gently exfoliate but it doesn't hurt your face. After using it a few times a week, my skin feels softer and cleaner. It doesn't dry out my skin like other facial cleansers tend to do. Although the packaging says you should use it a few times a week, I am inclined to use it more than that just because it's so gentle on your skin. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend! -

When I first tried these crackers, I was warned that they taste really plain - but I actually really plain-tasting crackers as they are more versatile. You can serve them with toppings like cheese, guacamole, or a chickpea spread. Even by themselves they make a good mid-afternoon snack as they taste like thicker, toasted corn chips. The fact that they're gluten-free is an added bonus if you or your friends have gluten intolerances.

eos lip balm's new formula goes on smoother, but also doesn't melt in your purse during hot summer days. The compact shape of the packaging is distinct enough to find in your bag (unlike the traditional lip balm shape that gets lost easily and can be easily mistaken for other things like lipstick and pens). As for the scent/flavour, mint is really natural and refreshing; it makes my lips tingle a bit which I don't personally enjoy, but I know some people like that effect.

Nutella tastes great on your morning bagel, toast, and dessert crepes. I recently tried making hazelnut chocolate milk with it on the stove, and it melts really nicely into the steamed milk.

I noticed the improved formula almost right away. It glides on easier and even smells more natural than the old eos lip balms. Since I’m always a sucker for strawberry flavoured or scented things, this lip balm is one of my favourites to pop in my purse. The packaging is unique, and it NEVER pops open in your bag like some of my other lip balms.
