I’ve never been committed to a specific toner before, but it’s something I use daily, so I was excited to try this one! Rose is one of the few floral scents that I enjoy, so I liked that this was rose scented. The formula is gentle enough for the entire face, even around the eyes, and doesn’t dry out my skin. This worked well at removing traces of makeup that my cleanser didn’t pick up. I’m excited to see how the witch hazel helps to treat any inflammation I get from minor breakouts in the future. -

Thank you Chick Advisor for the opportunity to try the Purgrains Thai Garlic Chili Flavour Ancient Grains Side Dish for free! I like anything that can be turned into a quick and easy meal, so I was excited to give this a try. I prepared this in the microwave and liked that it was ready in 90 seconds. However, the consistency was a little mushy so if I were to try this again, I would prepare it on the stove top to see if I can avoid that. The combination of quinoa, brown rice, and farro was filling and the flavour had a good amount of spice. When eating and preparing meals, one of the main things I’m aware of is the amount of salt I’m consuming. In my opinion, this has a lot of sodium so that could deter me from purchasing it in the future. However, I’d still be open to trying other flavours and making more elaborate meals with the side dish to see if I can elevate the meal. #gotitfree #trypurgrains #productreviewclub -

The pizza cooked easily on the oven rack and didn’t make a mess. Despite loving the flavour, I wish there were more tomatoes like the picture on the box.

I’ve reduced my use of cleansing wipes over the last year due to their environmental impact, so it was interesting to learn that these are made of 100% plant-based materials and can be composted. The wipes were soft to the touch and contained the perfect amount of moisture to glide across the skin without tugging. They were not the greatest at removing mascara, which I didn’t mind because I have a specific routine for removing eye makeup and generally use a wipe to clean up any remaining face makeup. The wipes had a mild scent and there was no residue left on my skin. I will continue to use these as they are effective at taking off my daily face makeup and are a good first step for double-cleansing. -

I had never tried a cleanser with clay in it, so I was excited to learn that kaolin clay helps to absorb my skin’s excess oil. The cleanser had a light, refreshing scent and the formula lathered well. Although I want to eliminate as much oil as possible, I was happy that this didn’t dry out my skin and instead left it feeling clean and hydrated. My biggest problem spot is my t-zone, and based on my experience so far, I’m looking forward to seeing how this manages my excess oily production in that area! -

This was my first time trying a dry spray antiperspirant. The formula goes on almost completely dry and didn’t leave me feeling tacky. Although I didn’t put it to the 48-hour test, my underarms stayed dry throughout the day. I found the floral scent to be too strong, but I did like that it lasted the entire time I was wearing the antiperspirant. Lastly, there was no noticeable product transfer on my clothes. -

This serum is great for daily use, whether it’s in the morning or evening, or both! This is very easy to apply but can get a bit sticky if you use too much. The directions say to use 4-5 drops, but instead of applying all of the product at once, I like to apply it to my face drop by drop. With the main ingredient being hyaluronic acid, I feel like my skin is being moisturized. It’s a bonus that this is unscented. -

My favourite way to use dry shampoo is by applying it to my hair the night before because I’m guaranteed to wake up with refreshed hair, so that’s exactly how I used the new Wonder Woman Dry Shampoo. Like other Batiste dry shampoos I’ve tried, the Wonder Woman version was no different. It absorbed excess oil and left no white residue on my hair. This dry shampoo brings my limp, second-day hair back to life and makes it feel clean right up until the next wash. The scent is bold and flirty, but leaves a subtle, sweet scent on the hair, giving it that “just washed” effect. -
