Note: I received this product from the Chick Advisor Review Club in return for an honest reivew ----------- I really liked the quality of this product. The lotion is very light and liquidy compared to other sunscreens. I really liked how it spread onto the skin and that it sunk in quickly without leaving a film or white, chalky look. I liked how it felt throughout the day and worked well under my makeup. I also liked that it was a high SPF for the face without being heavy and oily. Overall, I loved this product and how it worked. I did not break out as I usually do with SPF facial products, and I did not become an oil slick within a few hours. I'd love to buy it after I use up this bottle, but It doesn't feel like great value. I feel like I use a lot of product or that the bottle releases too much because it comes out of a dropper style, so I end up getting too much in my hand. I wish it came in a pump so I could control how much comes out a bit more, especially at thirty dollars for a small bottle. The price is the main issue. I don't know if I could justify thirty dollars a bottle for such a small amount. Even if it was a third larger I would feel a bit better about buying it,but it is so small and there is a lot of wasted product based on the packaging. -

I really like this balm. It is great if you're sensitive to scent because it is very mild. It has a slightly cool feeling while on the lips, but overall feels soft and smooth without feeling heavy or waxy. It feels very light but I did not feel like I needed to reapply it all that often-however I am not in the middle of winter when my lips are at their worst. It really does give the right amount of moisture to your lips. I felt the formula was very high quality and felt very nice on-I hate anything that feels heavy on my lips (like burt's bees or chap stick, which I end up wiping off after a couple of minutes) and this product is is perfect for that. I didn't like how clunky the tube itself is, it seems like it could be slimmed down a bit to fit in purses and pockets better without being as slim as their usual lip balm sticks. I also don't like how it kind of just clicks closed when it feels and looks like it should screw closed. The last thing I want is an open tube of product in my bag, even if it is clear/white. Overall, I would probably buy this again because it has such a minimal scent and because I really really like the formula, but I'd like to see a bit of a slimmer package.

This is a great little lip balm if you love minty flavours and scents. I really love how this product smelled--minty but not too strong, and slightly sweet and cools instead of tingles. I am always a little cautious of minty lip balms because they're full of menthol, which ends up burning my lips, but this one didn't do that at all, nor did it feel waxy and heavy like chap-stick brand mint balm. It was more like a mint ice cream, which I loved. I love the packaging and I love how silky and light it feels on the lips while still feeling like it delivers enough moisture --even when my lips were sunburnt and peeling from forgetting to put on sunscreen lip balm. You don't feel the need to constantly re-apply it, but you might want to because the little ice-cube like packaging is so cute and is actually fun to put on. I assume this product came out to compete with the cute packaging and dome-shaped EOS cubes, but this balm is a total hit. I will definitely repurchase and I hope they bring out the cube in the coconut scent, because I've always been obsessed with that one.

I am absolutely obsessed with this lip balm. Softlips' skinny coconut lipbalms have been a long time favourite product of mine, and this one does not disappoint either. I LOVE the "chubby" version of the product. It is so creamy and soft when applied and doesn't feel sticky or heavy at all. It leaves a very soft sheen to the lips, but nothing glossy, but does not look waxy either. I love that this is such a light but effective product. When you apply it, there is a slight cooling effect which fades quickly. It keeps lips soft and moisturised for a good forty minutes before I notice the feeling of it on my lips is gone, but I don't feel the immediate need to reapply it either. I like this brand because my lips never get "addicted" to this lip balm or feel like they need another heavy, wet layer on them to feel like the product is working. The coconut scent is divine, it reminds me of sunscreen and vacation. I wish they would make this in the cube version as well, since I love how cute the packaging is. My only complaint is how bulky the tube itself is and how it doesn't really screw on or click super easily. The product itself is no thicker than a regular lipstick, but is about twice the size of the normal skinny soft lips sticks, but the packaging is very clunky and takes up a lot of space if you're trying to fit it into a small-ish purse---I will continue to use the skinny sticks for that I suppose. I really wish they would make this scent in the cube version, because I like the application of the cubes better and I like how they screw in place (plus they look just like ice cubes). Overall, I will continue to buy this, or another soft lips coconut product because it has always been my go-to.

For me, and many others, this was the first kind of exfoliating product incorporated into my routine. I have used this on and off for about ten years and have used the different varieties (this one has salicylic acid) and the normal variety. I don't mind this one, and you can definitely feel that it has SA in it because it stings a little more than the normal version, but other than that the differences are indistinguishable. I use this about once or twice a week to keep dry skin at bay, since it helps my makeup stay on much better when I have soft skin underneath instead of flakes and patches. I wish the overall texture was a bit finer and denser, like a sugar scrub, but for the price you really can't beat this option. -

My SO bought this product a while back to deal with dry skin and hands. He felt that it was decent in terms of moisturising, but the smell was unbearable. It screams "I'M A MAN" and is just as offensive as axe body spray. It didn't really absorb much faster than other lotions, but still moisturized fine. Neither of us could stand how much cologne scent was used in it, and although we assumed the smell would fade quickly, it stays around for hours. If you like that generic, strong cologne scent, then this one is certainly for you, but if you're at all sensitive to smells, this one is strong enough to make your eyes water. -

This product gets five stars for the smell alone! I can't get enough of this. I love buying it in the big tub, but sadly it looks like the wal-marts in my city have stopped carrying it! I did manage to find it at an asian grocery store, though. It works really well at getting rid of dry patches on the face and body. My SO used to slather it on his face every night before bed, and it helped keep his skin smooth and reduced redness. I prefer to coat my feet in it and put socks on before bed to make my feet extra smooth and soft. It doesn't differ greatly from regular vaseline in terms of usage, but the smell is so fantastic that I will always pick this one over the regular version. Plus the price can't be beat! -

The Berry Bliss Soft Lips 5-in-1 cube was the first of four products I decided to try. Berry is usually my least favourite “scent/flavour” in lip products, but this one is fairly mild and even slightly minty. It goes on very smoothly and leaves just a hint of shine to the lips. About fifteen seconds after putting it on, I felt a cooling sensation, which I attribute to there likely being a small amount of menthol in the balm. It kind of smells like a berry flavoured gum would smell---not overpowering but a little bit artificial, however nothing I that bothered so much I felt the need to remove it due to the smell (which I have had problems with in the past with some overly-perfumed lip products. Cherry/berry smells just don’t do it for me). I really like how this feels on the lips, it is smooth and soft feeling and doesn’t feel like it leaves a heavy coat on top of the skin, but it doesn’t feel so light that I’d have to reapply within the next ten minutes. It probably lasts about half an hour (assuming you don’t eat, drink) before I noticed my lips feeling dry again, but keep in mind I had just been on vacation and was suffering from some pretty dry, sunburnt lips so nothing was keeping them adequately moisturized. Now that they’re in better shape, this is something I would consider using on an everyday basis because it doesn’t feel heavy and waxy, it feels soft and smooth. I’d say it is everything I wanted EOS to be (Eos made my lips even drier than before I put the product on). The packaging is cute and looks kind of like an ice cube, but I found that the actual product didn’t feel super sturdy in the base, and most of the weight is actually in the lid. So far there have been no issues with breakage but when you open it up it almost feels like it wobbles in the base a little bit. Other than that, I LOVE the little cube it comes in. Is it super functional? Probably not as functional as a tube but I’m a complete sucker for cute packaging and I like that if I stick my hand in my giant purse I can feel around for the cube at the bottom and I know exactly which product it is. I would probably buy this product because my lips feel very, very smooth and It doesn’t make them feel weird (I’m very picky with lip balms, for example I can’t stand chap stick or burt’s bees brands) when I wear it although I wish it came in a vanilla or coconut in the cube shape (maybe it does, but I was only sent this flavour and the mint in the cube shape). Overall a win for me!

I've wanted to try this much-talked-about micellar water since it came out, but haven't had the excuse to go out and buy it. I was very excited when I was chosen to review the product for Simple and Chick Advisor, and even more excited when I received a full size product. I've used it every night after using the makeup-remover wipes to remove any leftover makeup. It takes off any residual makeup, but I don't think it is tough enough to use on its own to remove make up, especially if you use a lot of mascara and eye liner. It leaves skin feeling really clean and soft, but I don't know if I would replace it with actually washing my face. I think I'd use it as a toner to prep skin for moisturising. I've actually used it a couple times in the morning before applying makeup and it works really nicely to cool the skin after a shower. I really like this in place of a more harsh toner or astringent, and I'm really happy it doesn't have harsh ingredients like alcohol, but I don't think it lives up to the hype as being a makeup remover and cleanser in one. Overall: I like it, and it feels really nice on the skin, and it is really gentle and leaves the skin feeling clean.

I received this product from Chick Advisor's product review club and SImple to review for feedback. I am SO glad this product has come into my life. The only simple product I had ever tried was their lightweight moisturiser, which is great for daytime and under make up, but doesn't deliver enough moisture to get rid of flakes and dry patches, especially in the winter. This moisturiser has solved these problems without clogging pores or causing new breakouts. This lotion doesn't come out or feel too much thicker than any other moisturiser, and only "thickens" when you rub it into the skin. A little goes a long way and the bottle is huge, so this should last you all winter, even if you use it morning and night. I don't think it would work too well underneath make up unless you really let it sink in. It isn't super greasy, but I think throughout the day your makeup might start to separate or get oily, so I have only been using it at night. It has cleared up my dry patches nicely, and I haven't noticed any new breakouts in the week or so since using it. It is definitely a great product for the price! -
