Blue Lagoon Iceland claims that their Rich Nourishing Cream "nourishes, moisturizes, smoothes, enhances radiance and prevents aging signs" through active ingredients of algae and silica. And they charge $150 for 50ml of the product.
What I can say about it? It is a fantastically rich and lush moisturizer that helps sensitive skin achieve that extra boost without blocking pores or causing other issues. But I would've pegged the price point as at least half of what it was. I loved the smell and the effectiveness of the product, but I could never imagine spending that much money on it. If you can get some samples, try it for yourself, but I'll never buy it at its current price point. It's not a magic bullet to end aging, as it claims, just a really nice moisturizer.

I'm never a person to buy the same toothbrush twice. I usually just scan the toothbrush section for whatever toothbrush is on sale that doesn't look like it's going to disintegrate after one use and that's the one I buy. But what I do look for in a good toothbrush is a nice bed of soft bristles of varying size/shape to get all the weird spots between my teeth, a flexible handle and a tongue scraper on the back.
The Pro-Health toothbrush offers all three of these functions and since using it, I feel my teeth are more thoroughly cleaned than than with other brushes. Even the hard to reach spots in the corners of my mouth feel better, and I can see a difference when I floss too.

Before I start my review, I must admit something — I hate mouthwash. I've hated mouthwash for YEARS, it always leaves my mouth feeling really dry, it leaves a sickly sweet residual flavour and it doesn't so much as "freshen" my breath, but "mask" my breath which is two very different things.
That being said, I think I've finally found a mouthwash I can handle! The Pro-Health mouthwash isn't too sharp or acerbic when you're rinsing, and it leaves your mouth feeling clean but NOT dry, and I feel like it's actually helping my mouth stay healthier and cleaner. I don't have that terrible post-mouthwash flavour in my mouth, it's actually a refreshing mint taste that lasts for quite awhile. I really recommend giving this a try if you're not a fan of mouthwash because it may surprise you.

I'm a long-time user of Sensodyne toothpaste due to my sensitive teeth, but when the Pro-Health review opportunity came along I took it up to see if any other brand would be comparable to my age-old standby.
After a week of use, I have to say that the Pro-Health toothpaste worked just as well as my Sensodyne, with a soft mint flavour that left my breath fresher and my teeth feeling really clean. Since I started using the paste I definitely feel a difference to a standard toothpaste and it's comparable to the more expensive brands.
The only thing that is disappointing is the size of the toothpaste container is deceiving and it is already more expensive than the competitors, while being a smaller size.

I received the Oral-B 3D White Vivid Toothbrush as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. Prior to using this toothbrush, I was a toothbrush mistress, I rarely use the same brush twice! But after using this Crest brush, I will definitely keep my eye out for this product in the future.
The handle and head of this brush are very flexible, and make it rather easy to reach all those tough-to-get places in your mouth, especially the back molars. The bristles were soft and managed to clean all surface gunk off my teeth and freshen up my gums without any bleeding (I have sensitive gums and other soft brushes can leave them irritated). I really liked the placement of the bristles, I think the circles in the middle help the brush properly scrub over the teeth and reach in between as well.
I may not replace my toothbrushes right away, but I will definitely keep my eye out in the toothbrush section from now on.

I received the Crest 3D White Luxe Glamorous White Toothpaste as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. Prior to using this product, I was a yearly user of Sensodyne toothpaste. I almost never am without that product in my cupboard and have tested many a natural and baking soda solution paste over the years.
I have to say that I was quite impressed with the 3D White Toothpaste, it has a refreshing but mild flavour that leaves your mouth exceptionally crisp after brushing, even if you've had coffee recently.; The toothpaste doesn't foam too much or too little and I found that it spread across the gums and the teeth quite well. For somebody who requires more sensitive toothpaste, switching to this from Sensodyne, I noticed no differences in sensitivity after almost three weeks, it's just as good a toothpaste.
With regards to the whitening claims, I'm always a bit skeptical about these products. I've used Crest Whitestrips, whitening concoctions from all other brands and noticed no change, and unfortunately, I didn't notice anything here either. My teeth aren't any whiter, but perhaps this is something that only those with substantially stained teeth will notice.
Otherwise, a surprisingly great toothpaste, I just hope the price doesn't keep it out of range.

I received the Crest 3D White Multi-Care Whitening Rinse though the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I'm not a staunch user of mouthwash generally due to issues with residual flavour and unfortunately this was no exception.
The mouthwash is an alcohol-free solution, which means that it leaves a particularly sickly sweet after taste in the mouth after rinsing, and due to the solution in the mouthwash, your mouth is left icy cold after a few swishes, almost painfully so.
The mouthwash does have a foaming action which I noticed does help cleanse the mouth after brushing and flossing, but I would not recommend the product due to the aftertaste which is almost unbearable.

I was never one of those girls who spent all her money on Wet n' Wild or NYC cosmetics as a teenager. Because I didn't really get into beauty products until I was an adult and had money, I immediately upgraded to regular priced cosmetics and especially luxuriously priced nail polishes.
Well, not anymore. I've raved about the Essence line of cosmetics to friends for ages. Some of them respond eagerly and others give me the raised eyebrow "Suuuure" instead. But now, the less they believe me, the more I benefit because this is officially my favourite "nude" (I hate that term but it's the name of the line!) polish.
I first found the Nude Glam line a few weeks ago in one specific Shoppers Drug Mart location. I was wasting time before a movie and put one of each of the colours on a different nail and left. A few hours later when I was at home, I realized I totally loved the colour (and the ease of application) of this new line! I went back to get some from my local Shoppers and the entire line except for the worst colour (a babyish pink, Iced Strawberry) was sold out. Drat!
I repeated this experience at another half dozen Shoppers until I finally found Cafe Ole again! (Still haven't found Iced Latte!)
The Essence nail polishes are great because they have a thick, flat brush. I have tiny hands and am quite clumsy (no nail art for me) so this usually requires one application to get on my whole nail. Give the product two coats (WHICH DRY QUICKLY) for good measure and boom, done. (I always base coat and top coat too.)
But for real, this $2 nail polish colour dupes some higher end brands so well that I think my next Shoppers haul will include at least a half dozen more colours. Viva Essence!

I like the Body Shop Love Etc scent because it has a nice strong floral scent that is softened with some sweet undertones. I don't like perfumes that smell like vanilla butter or cream, nothing that smells like a body lotion, but I do enjoy perfumes that have a bit of that hint of sweet essence to it, but nothing too obnoxious like Vera Wang Princess (my former sweet-noted love) and Love Etc works because it smells floral but without being cloying. The scent sticks but never wafts and although I switch my perfumes up on a weekly basis, I seem to get compliments the most when I wear it. Win win! -

When the BB Cream bandwagon came down this summer, you can bet I jumped right on it. I used to love tinted moisturizers but always lamented the cost. I'm not a huge fan of foundation either so BB Creams seemed right up my alley. Unfortunately I may have purchased one that isn't the best example.
What I DO like about this BB Cream is its price. I got it on sale for about $8 which makes it affordable to test out. It leaves my face with a little bit of colour and a glow and smooths my complexion out a touch. I tend to have some ruddiness in my cheeks and it makes it slightly less noticable. It is also SPF30 which is great in the summertime.
That being said, this doesn't really offer any coverage. My skin tone remains the same and it leaves an oilier finish than I'd like. I'll use it up but I'm not going to buy it again.
