Last year, I had the opportunity to attend a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" hosted by Skinvestment and I received a Cellular Concentrate Fundamental Serum Skin Perfector from Esthederm.
My skin tends to be quite dry during Winter so, I like to layer and layer and layer a million skincare products on my face, so that it actually stays moisturized throughout the day. However, I've noticed that when I use the Cellular Concentrate Fundamental Serum Skin Perfector, it has kept my skin much more supple and my complexion seemed to be more radiant. I've also tested the serum by using it without any moisturizers, and I was surprised to see that my skin remained so hydrated at the end of the day! My skin is definitely loving this serum and I end up using it in the morning and in the evening.

I went to Japan a few years ago and I love the concept of Japanese skincare products. They are excellent at improving their current products and making them even better. Skinvestment hosted a "Beauty date x MTL" last year and I was overjoyed to learn that one of their collaborators was Luxella - a Japanese skincare curator. Luxella has curated a Japanese skincare brand, HerbEAU, which combines Japanese technology and European plant-based technology to develop their skincare products.
I received the Perfect All-in-one Gel by HerbEAU that acted as a "lotion, beauty essence, milky lotion, cream and face pack." I was able to incorporate this gel easily in my makeup routine and in my night time routine due to its light texture. I can totally see that my skin has become more supple and moisturized after using this gel. It was able to soothe my redness and it also brightened my skin. I have some acne scars and it has lighten them a bit. This multi-purpose gel has made my skincare routine so much simpler!

Last year in November, I've attended "Beauty date x MTL" which was a beauty event hosted by Skinvestment. One of the guest speakers was introducing to us a Korean brand named URANG and she also spoke about the beauty benefits of the True Rose Repair Essence.
I've always been a bit skeptical when it comes to products made with rose due its artificial fragrance. The scent of this essence is very earthy and fresh smell as if a bouquet of roses is in front of you. URANG stated that no artificial fragrance was added and that the essence is made with 45% organic rose water. I was amazed at the overnight transformation every time that I use this product. My sensitive skin became so soft and hydrated, I feel it has reduced the redness around my cheeks and has given me a refreshed look in the morning!

I've lost count of the number of years that I wear foundation and as much as I like to skincare products, I've always wished that the ingredients in makeup products can also be beneficial to the skin as well. Skinvestment hosted a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" and I was thrilled to learn that the actress from the TV series Riverdale, Marisol Nichols, is also a big fan of Sweet LeiLani Cosmetics! Sweet Leilani Cosmetics is a brand that uses natural ingredients in their makeup products that actually help promote healthier skin for makeup lovers.
I received the Sky highlight which is a pressed powder with no shimmer and the shade is light enough that I actually use it as a foundation either on its own or to set my liquid foundation. I noticed that it does an amazing job at hiding my pores and redness, and my face remains matte throughout the day. I absolutely love that the foundation contains rose hip, green tea and grape seed extracts, so the pressed powder nourishes my skin at the same time!

One of the issue I have with some cleansers is that they strip away all oils from the face and then it leaves the face quite dry afterwards. So, over the years, I've started to use gel cleansers, oil cleansers and balms which are more suitable for my sensitive and dry skin. I've attended "Beauty date x MTL" in November last year, it was a beauty event hosted by Skinvestment and I had the opportunity to test out Bioderma's Sensibio Mild Cleansing Foaming Gel.
I was immediately surprised at how easily the gel texture can turn into foam and it was so gentle on the face that I felt like I can massage my face with it for hours! My skin wasn't irritated or dry from the cleansing gel, it felt soft and hydrated. This product has become my favorite cleanser and I've been using right after removing my makeup with the micellar water. It removes makeup quite well and I can simply use Bioderma's Sensibio Mild Cleansing Foaming Gel on days that I wear lighter makeup, without having to double cleanse my face.

I attended a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" hosted by Skinvestment and I was thrilled to receive the Sensibio H2O Micellar Water from Bioderma! This product has been a game-changer in my makeup-removal routine. Just like the name of the product, it is made mainly with water, so it is very gentle on the skin. It contains no alcohol, no parabens, it is fragrance-free and it is perfectly tailored for sensitive skin. I usually use the Sensibio H2O Micellar Water to remove my makeup or after cleansing to remove any residual makeup. I was so surprised that this micellar water can even remove the toughest water-resistant makeup. Yet, it doesn't dry out or irritate my skin at all! -

I have been suffering from eczema since I was a kid and recently, my skin has been crazy with constant flare-ups! I have tried different lotions and creams, and my eczema was still dry and irritated. I received the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion from a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" hosted by Skinvestment. And I told myself, let's give Cetaphil a try! The lotion is very light and doesn't leave a sticky residue. I also like that it is fragrance-free because my skin is quite sensitive to fragrances. I've noticed that I get less flare-ups and my skin became less itchy. I've been applying the lotion day and night, and my skin has definitely improved and it's no longer as dry either. -

I attended "Beauty date x MTL" hosted by Skinvestment and I received a pack of cleansing cloths by Cetaphil. I wasn't aware that Cetaphil has wipes and was excited to try them out!
I have to admit that I used to keep my makeup on during my yoga class or when I go to the gym. However, the compact packaging is already a win for me since, it has been so convenient for me to carry them around in my bag! I like that it doesn't dry out my sensitive skin and that I don't have to worry about putting on moisturizer right after using the cleansing cloth. I'm able to use only one wipe to remove my makeup and I've noticed that it does a good job with liquid eyeliners too. This product has been my go-to makeup remover when I need to go to the gym or yoga!

I've attended a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" hosted by Skinvestment and I received Annie's Way Strawberry Bubble Tea Sheet Mask. I never have too many sheet masks and Annie's Way bubble tea sheet masks collection is so creative!
I have to admit that I do love bubble tea and strawberry, so I was so happy when I saw the cute packaging! I usually don't like sweet or floral scents when it comes to sheet masks but the strawberry scent of this mask wasn't too overpowering. It reminded me of strawberry Pocky sticks. The mask is quite thin and I was surprised to see that after 30 minutes of use, the mask was still moist and I was able to use it on my neck afterwards! It also seems that the mask did brighten my skin a little bit, especially my forehead area.
I look forward to my next sheet mask haul to get more Annie's Way bubble tea sheet masks!

Makeup products are becoming more and more versatile and I've seen a lot of brands introducing products that can be applicable to the lips and cheeks as well. So, I was very happy to receive the Universal Crème in the shade called "Love" from Elate Clean Cosmetics when I attended the "Beauty date x MTL" event hosted by Skinvestment.
The Universal Crème can be used for the cheeks and the lips. I do find it very convenient that you can carry just one product and that it is multi-purpose. I've also been a bit more conscious of the ingredients in a lipstick since I do wear it daily. The Universal Crème is made with organic jojoba oil, castor oil, evening primrose and borage so, it is very nourishing to the lips and they've used organic ingredients to make the product. It reminded me of a lip balm and it didn't dry out my lips throughout the day. I've also tested the crème onto my cheeks by dabbing it onto a sponge, and I actually liked it a lot more than loose powder blushes or compressed powder blushes! It blends so well onto the skin and it doesn't look powdery or drying on the cheeks! The shade "Love" is a beautiful color, it creates a natural everyday look as if you're born with rosy lips and cheeks. I definitely have to thank Elate Clean Cosmetics for my love with cream blushes now!
