As much as I love skincare and makeup products, I've always wanted to try beauty products that use natural ingredients and that aren't tested on animals. I've attended a beauty event entitled "Beauty date x MTL" which was hosted by Skinvestment and one of their sponsors developed 100% cruelty-free natural sheet masks!
RE:FRESH created sheet masks that are free of alcohol, animal testing, artificial color, fragrance, parabens, sulfates and any harmful chemicals that we can think of. I was so surprised at how hydrated and soft my skin became. This is perfect for anyone suffering from dry and sensitive skin! Also, it had so much serum left in the package that I was able to put the serum in a mini bottle and use it the next morning. There is a faint citrus scent and this is from the Limonia Acidissima which is a botanical extract. I use sheet masks on a daily basis so, I'm more than thrilled to know that there's a brand that uses nourishing and natural ingredients to develop their products!

One skincare product that is mandatory in anyone's skincare routine should be sunscreen and yet, I find it so difficult to find the perfect sunscreen that isn't oily or leaves white streaks on your face. Skinvestment hosted a "Beauty Date x MTL" event and I've received this sunscreen from Healavie. This was the first time I've tried a sunscreen by this Korean brand, I was so surprised at how light it felt on the skin and there's a slight fragrance to it but not overpowering - the scent reminded me of a bit of baby powder. Due to the light texture of the sunscreen, I can actually re-apply after 4 hours and not worry that my skin will become greasy.
Another issue that I have encountered with a lot of sunscreens is that they don't sit well under foundation, however the Healavie Waterdrop Sun Gel works perfectly with my foundation throughout the day! I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to test out this product and I will definitely re-purchase this sunscreen in the future. And a side note, the purple packaging is just gorgeous and elegant!

I had eczema and extremely dry skin since I was young, I've always used prescribed body lotion and cream in order to soothe my skin. However, my creams contain hydrocortisone and one of its side effects is thinning of the skin. And recently, a nurse advised me to seek other creams or lotions for eczema due to my skin condition - flare-ups and rashes.
I was thrilled when I received the Aveeno Eczema Balm for free from ChickAdvisor! I've been using it for the past week and it's a game changer! It has a thicker texture and reminded me of Glysomed. However, compared to other creams and body lotions, this balm actually leaves my skin moisturized throughout the whole day. So, instead of applying twice a day, I only apply the balm at night now. I've noticed that not only my skin is softer, but the redness and eczema have calmed down!
Thank you ChickAdvisor and Aveeno for the opportunity to test out the Eczema Care Itch Relief Balm; the product delivers fantastic results for dry skin and eczema!

For the past months, my face has been looking quite dull and dry, I knew I had to switch up my skincare routine and try to find a remedy for the dryness. I had the opportunity to attend an event entitled "Beauty Date x MTL" held by Skinvestment in November last year, and I've received a sample of a face serum from Province Apothecary.
The serum is extracted from natural and organic ingredients such as apricot kernel, camellia seed, pumpkin seed, avocado and jojoba seed. So, I've decided to use this nourishing oil-based serum before putting my night cream. I feel it has brightened my skin tone and my face was very hydrated when I wake up in the morning. A few drops of the serum will do the trick and I've also tried it without using a night cream. I have to say, this Rejuvenating + Hydrating Face Serum rescued my drying face!

CND CREATIVE PLAY Nail Lacquer
Tried out the nail polishes from the Chickadvisor showcase and it was a beautiful red with a glitter. It quick drying and the glitter is subtle enough that you can wear it on daily basis! Perfect color for Christmas time!!

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Féline Mascara
Tried this mascara received from Chickadvisor showcase and it was a good mascara for my people with lashes since it does extend the lashes however, it doesn't make your eyelashes fuller. It would a good daytime look.
