I find it looks very natural and that it stays on far better than powder blushes. I'll probably keep buying it because I think it's the best option for it's price.

For those Torontonians already familiar with the Red Room and the Green Room, Nirvana offers another choice of restaurant from the same owners. The formula of this psuedo chain is pretty much unbeatable: super low prices, tasty food, great sangria, awesome ambiance, and too-cool hipster staff.
However, Nirvana seems a bit more airy and cleaner than the other two installments in this restaurant/cafe series. The hippie, eclectic vibe is right on the money here. It's not as claustraphobic as the Green Room, and not as dark as the Red Room. I think they've finally got it right!
As usual, the food is awesome and you can get a filling main meal worth around 16 bucks in other places for 7 dollars. Try the Pad Thai, everyone loves it. You can also get a cheap Pimms drink, and they're not a usual thing in Toronto.
The only drawback to this venue is that you won't get the greatest service here. However, the staff are friendly even if they are a bit lacksadasical, and flagging one of them down is easy.
In sum, head to Nirvana for lunch, brunch, or evening drinks, and you'll be amazed at how much fun you had for so little money!

I wanted to like this.
I normally wax or sugar my legs and bikini line, but sometimes you have to go to the beach when you didn't plan on it and you need a quick fix!
In those cases, I normally shave my legs, but I was looking for something that didn't give me razor burn.
What I got was a lot worse!
I got these strange bumps that seemed like ingrown hairs, but bled when I squeezed them (sorry for the TMI there).
They were really unsightly and took a month to get rid of.
I will be sticking to waxing and sugaring.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I used to hate using eye make-up remover because of the gross greasy feeling that it left behind.
I was using normal lotion to get rid of my makeup but it stung my eyes, so my friend recommended this!
This feels like a very light cream, and it removes everything i have ever put on without too much fuss. I don't tend to use very heavy makeup on my eyes, but this can handle liquid liner and waterproof mascara with no problems.
Best of all, it feels like its actually good for my skin, it doesn't leave a residue, and it doesn't sting at all when I get it in my eyes (especially likely at 4 am!).
All in all, an awesome product. I'll keep buying it.

I bought this on whim from Winners since I have dry hair and shine has always been something hard for me to achieve.
I just spray it on my dry hair before leaving the house, and and I have to say that I really like this product! It works way better than I expected it to!!
The first thing I noticed was the toffee sweet smell of this spray, mmmmmmm. The second thing I noticed was the instant serum-like effect this had. My hair was less frizzy and more sleek looking. Yay!!!
I have to be careful not to use too much though, because after a critical point my hair gets lank and greasy. On my kind of fine, chin length hair, two sprays, concentrated near my ends, is more than enough.
My hair looks really nice and it smells like dessert!!

So, I bought this because I opened a pot of it in the Lush store and found myself thinking "If I only have to smell one thing for the rest of my life, I want this to be it".
I bought a pot, which is wee bit expensive, but I got far more hair treatments out of it than I thought I would (around 4 on just past chin length hair).
I just slathered a load on my head, and waited for half an hour.
Admittedly, when you have it on, the jasmine smell is a bit *ahem* strong, but once I had rinsed it out, and shampooed etc. normally, it was divine!
I kept smelling myself!
My hair was nice and conditioned feeling, which is great for me because it tends to be dry and fluffy. However, I will admit that I could probably get the same effect from something that cost a bit less money and had a bit more stretch.
In all, I don't regret buying this, and if there is a sale or something, I'll totally get it again. however, for the effect, its a bit too much money for me to splurge on regularly. Maybe once in a while when I want to smell amazing.......

I am a confirmed lushie. I love everything about Lush and (almost) all its products.
The whole natural, no packaging thing soothes my environmentalist worries while the delicious products feed my need for bath and beauty stuff! *sigh*. It really doesn't get any better than that.
All that is god about lush is present in this product!
I used to use another lush cleanser called "angels on bare skin" which is really lovely as well, but I found I needed something to battle occasional acne.
So, herbalism was recommended to me by the lush staff as it has some abilities in that department.
I've been using it devotedly ever since!
It clears up breakouts, but leaves you moisturized as well. As a dry skinned person with some acne, this is an awesome departure from the norm for me.
This scrub may seem a bit weird to use at first if you're not hip to the whole Lush thing, but its actually very simple. You jut take off a piece of the putty, rub it around on your face and rinse it off.
It does everything you need a cleanser to do, exfoliates, moisturizes, fights breakouts!
Long live lush!!

I got this moisturizer for Christmas, and only started using it when my existing one had finally run out.
After a few weeks I felt my face by accident, and was shocked! I felt it again, and could not beleive how nice my face felt and looked!
Subtly, over time, this moisturizer had calmed my sensitive and dry skin, given me a better tone, made my skin soft, and best of all, the annoying and periodic acne I get around my forehead was gone.
I had been battling that acne for around a year, so I considered that a personal miracle!
oh, and it was light and didn't feel like it was sliding off the moment I broke a light sweat!
Obviously I ran to Shopper's Drug Mart to get another one as soon as I could, but was brought up short when I looked at the price. $61.00 is a bit steep for a master's student.
Ever since I stopped using it, my face has started an inexorable decline to its former state. I tried to find a replacement for this awesome cream, but no dice.
I guess I'll just look at it longingly in the drugstore and sneak small dabs from the sample jar on the counter until I can get my hands on some cash!

I hate having sand stick to me at the beach, and this sunscreen really feels like its not even there after a few minutes! It sinks in and protects me from burns, but without that gross "I have a layer of grease on me" feeling.
Another reviewer said it irritated her face, but that may just be a freak thing since I have pretty sensitive skin and have never had an issue with it. I have it in SPF 30, so maybe the different SPF formulations are a bit different.
Anyway, this suncscreen is the best I have ever used and is als not at all expensive. A great deal!!!

I saw Jeannette Walls on the Craig Ferguson show and was impressed with her warmth, sass, and humor.
She was promoting her next book after the "The Glass Castle" but she made a few references to it during her interview. I ran out to buy it immediately but only read it a few weeks ago.
This memoir is pretty shocking, it tells of neglect and poverty, but it also highlights the many good moments of Jeannette's childhood. The brilliance and creativity of her parents are revealed even as she tells of their inability to cope in the world.
Her characters are real people, and they are portrayed as such. They are neither heros nor villains, but rather imperfect people who get lost inspite of good intentions. Jeannette's voice in this memoir, that of a child and young adult, also makes this story seem real and tangible. Jeannette isn't telling a sob story, she's just telling it like she saw it.
I loved this book, and I read it within a day.
You won't be dissappointed.
