Let's get this straight, right off the bat: Five Guys is a pricier burger joint out of all of them. They cost more than McDonald's without a doubt, but the reality is that you get what you pay for and Five Guys is just so much better than that.
The regular burger is a double patty burger, and the cheeseburger version comes with two slices of cheese. If you want a single patty, you have to order the little burger or cheeseburger. You get to choose whatever toppings you want, but there is a traditional "all the way" that has a variety of toppings including sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc. I love to get mayo, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, jalapenos, raw onion, sauteed mushrooms and LOTS of pickles on mine. Everything gets perfectly melded together and becomes super delicious when it is packed.
The fries at this place are unreal. They are so fresh and delicious, and they are made with fresh Canadian potatoes every day! Do not order a fry for each person because the amount that they are going to give you will be too much. We get one regular fries for two people, but we've also served five of us with two regular fries.
If you get the fries, you also need to make sure that you ask for cajun seasoning, but get it on the side. They tend to over season it if you get it put on by the staff, and this way you can choose exactly how much you want. Or, you can separate it so if someone doesn't want the seasoning (you'd have to be crazy or on a medically-induced reduced sodium diet) they can have them plain.
They also offer ketchup, two types of vinegar, and salt and pepper for your own use.
The fountain drinks are good as expected, and the vibe in the restaurant is cool and fun. They play music loud, but they play a variety of rock and classic rock, so there's a great sound going on.
My only negative side of this whole restaurant is that it is not peanut allergy friendly. Part of their theme is having peanuts available for people to eat while they wait, so there are loose peanuts throughout most of the restaurant unfortunately. If it weren't for that, this restaurant would be the best ever. Sorry peanut allergy people!

They cook quickly, they're great tasting, and they have a great cooked texture too. I like eating them, and so does the rest of my family. I like cooking my own oats, but these are great for convenience.

They're always soft, and just as expected. They don't have a dryer or rougher texture to them, and I've never had issues with a new bag being stale. They do go stale pretty quickly, but you can freeze extras if need be and really, who has too many extras after hot dogs?
I sometimes like the top slice ones, but when you're looking for the best deal, the good old regulars will work just fine.

I'm personally a fan of the blue, purple and white, and I usually find myself pawning off the red and orange. Regardless, they're worth the investment for the summer, because you never know when you'll need a quick option to cool off.

There are so many different options, and there are even more than you think! In addition to all the regular flavours, most Dairy Queens will let you add something to a particular flavour if you want! They're made fresh in store, so most will be happy to comply with your desires.
I always make sure I buy a bigger cake than I need because the fact is it's going to get eaten way faster than we expected, and I always want to have an extra piece for later!
They can be pricey, but so can fancy decorated cakes and let's be honest, this probably tastes better!
