Face-washes, check. Lotions, check. Pills, check. Accutane? Check. TWICE.
I'll admit it, I've tried a lot of acne treatments. In the 6 years I've needed skin help, I've never had the fast results like I had with ProActiv solution. Within just a few days, I felt the smoothest skin I've ever felt (I honestly could not stop running the back of my fingers against my cheeks!) and saw clear skin. Just a few days! It's amazing.
If you've ever been on Accutane (I have, twice), you know the feeling of the dry, tight skin (not to mention chapped lips!) and monthly blood tests. I found the same results with Proactiv-- with a cheaper (per-month) price tag! I'll admit, my skin feels tight after I use the face wash (the best exfoliant EVER!) and the toner, but the repairing lotion usually does the trick.
I have very dry skin during the winter months, and this season was no different. I usually start with Cetaphil - its so light, and removes my makeup easier than the Proactiv Cleanser. Then I use the Proactiv cleanser, toner, and then the repair lotion. Often I find I need additional moisture around my chin, so I use a non-comedogenic lotion (Cetaphil has a great one that I love to use) every other night.
Because my skin has cleared up considerably, makeup is easier to put on-- and I don't have to pile it on! I can go for the natural look, almost like I naturally don't need makeup.
It's not expensive (25$ per month), and if you're truly skeptical, they have a 60-day money back guarantee. No questions asked.

Great for those dry winter months when your skin starts to flake and feel tight. Apply in the morning after a shower/face wash and let it settle for about 10 minutes. The SPF was important to me, because even though its winter, you still need sun protection! This awesome product comes in many shades (I choose Fair usually, with a deeper shade in the summer) to fit all tones!
Another plus? It's oil-free! Anyone with skin problems (or is being treated for it...like me!) will be excited for this product. Great for sensitive skin, too. I found I needed some concealer for the really red parts of my face, but after I set it with powder (I love Smashbox Halo Powder) I was good to go all day! Natural any day of the week.

Applied with a large round brush (I don't like the size of the one they provided), this light powder feels like air after it's applied. Go with a lighter shade if you are unsure about what shade you need-- it settles into your skin naturally throughout the day. Lasts me all work day! -

If it weren't for the price-tag ($28, but it has lasted me for almost 3 months, and I still have plenty left), I'd be stocking up like crazy. This product is perfect for the girls who don't like too much makeup-- you'll love Dandelion by Benefit! Very light pink in color, it adds a natural-looking blush to my very fair-colored face. Applied over foundation (though don't dust translucent powder over it!) in the morning, it soaks up excess oil during the day, leaving perfect skin behind right through until dinner! -

One word: LOVE!
I stuck to drugstore brand mascara as a teenager because a) those were the only brands available and b) they were inexpensive. But I had to be very careful when I swiped it on in the morning-- wipe the excess (what a waste!) liquid off of the brush, and apply carefully. It still clumped.
Benefit, though expensive (a $19 tube lasts me about 6 weeks), has a great mascara in their BadGal product. Applied to the top lashes, I had the full look of (almost!) fake lashes. Applying throughout the day wasn't a problem, it felt like I was putting it on bare lashes every time. Soft (not clumpy!) to the touch. I still can't get enough of it.
The only thing I have a slight problem with, is because its a light product, it tends to flake around my eyes. So if you are OK stealing away a moment or two during the day to touch up your eyes, you're going to have beautiful eyes from morning 'till night.
