I was fortunate enough to receive this toothbrush from Chick Advisor's Product Review Club. After I finished the survey, I crossed my fingers and toes that I'd be chosen to review it.
At first glace, the packaging was eye catching but didn't look like it should have such an expensive price tag. I initially thought it would be somewhere between those spinbrush types of toothbrushes and the cheaper electric toothbrushes.
The contents of the box are: a charging stand (nice and small, hardly takes up any space on the counter), the toothbrush, the toothbrush 'head', a smaller detail brush and an easy to read, informative instruction manual.
As soon as I received it I was so anxious to try it! The toothbrush itself is very light, I was surprised by that.
When you're brushing, the toothbrush slightly pauses after 30 second letting you know its time to switch to another area in your mouth. I thought this was a genius feature. I noticed that since I've been using this toothbrush I focus much more on brushing thoroughly in all 4 quadrants of my mouth. The 30 second intervals makes the 2 minutes you're supposed to brush your teeth, fly by.
There are also two features, clean and sensitive. Both work very well at cleaning your teeth. I made sure to try each mode even though I'm not prone to sensitive teeth. I did not notice any left behind plaque and while I haven't noticed a great difference in the whiteness of my teeth (it's very subtle), I still plan on using this brush with a whitening toothpaste.
The brush also comes with a smaller 'detail' brush that attaches onto the toothbrush that helps me reach the hard to get spots, especially between my tight back teeth.
All in all, this toothbrush does what it says it will, clean and whiten your teeth and it's definitely worth all the money you'll pay for it. It doesn't even compare to my old manual toothbrush. It's light, easy to use and understand and 100% effective.
I love it, I've recommended it to lots of friends and family members.

I bought this gel because it said right on the packaging that there was no built up residue. False! I put this gel in my hair to give it a messy, tousled look. I have natural curls but they're lazy and really need to be worked with. Half an hour later, my hair was hard, which I understand it's an extra-strong hold gel, but my hair had also developed a white-ish, gray residue. I didn't love this product at all. -

I bought this toothpaste because it was on sale and because it promised me a whiter smile in 14 days. Hey, you're brushing everyday anyways, might as well whiten them too, right? I like the way this toothpaste cleans my teeth, they're left feeling squeaky clean after. The mint taste is refreshing without burning your mouth. I noticed a difference within days of brushing with this paste. LOVE! -

I got my hair highlighted and cut here a year ago. It is located in Sherway Garden's Mall in Etobicoke. The ambiance is lovely, very up scale. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. My highlights were amazing and the girl who cut my hair listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut. It is expensive but if you're looking for a place to pamper yourself, come here! -

The cream absorbs quickly, unlike some other lotions where you can still feel it on your skin minutes later. While it's a bit pricey, you only need a half a pump and the quality is great! -

I bought this cream basically because it was on sale and was a really good deal. I was a bit skeptical to use this cream on my face because it's an all purpose product but thought I'd try it anyways. I was expecting to look like I rubbed a pork chop on my face, super shiny and oily! Not the case at all! While it is a thicker cream, it didn't leave me super oily. I probably wont use this product on my face everyday but I'll definitely be using it more in the winter months when my skin gets tight and dry. I also tried it on my hands and it does everything it should, moisturizes without being too greasy and has a mild 'lotion' smell that all Nivea products seem to have. -

I bought this nail polish in Madison Avenue (red). I ran out of my favourite OPI red nail polish (I'm a weirdo about colours, they have to be just right) and I really wasn't in the mood to pay $11 for another one. I'm a huge fan of matte red (not too orange, not too blue) nails so while I was browsing the nail polish section, I found a nice red nail polish by NYC. I opened it, painted a little swatch on my nail and continued looking for other ones. Not a minute later, I noticed that the nail polish was completely dry! I checked the price, $1.86!!! I thought it was too good to be true. I LOVE this colour. It's exactly what I was looking for. However, I was a bit skeptical because it was so cheap. I tried it out, put some top coat over it and a week later they still look perfect. I did dishes, cleaned, even sanded furniture and the polish didn't chip. If you're looking for the perfect red, buy Madison Avenue and if you're looking for more colours check out the NYC In A New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish line! I plan to get a whole bunch of colours! -

I bought this product because the Dove heat protection spray I was using ran out and I couldn't find it anywhere. I use Pantene fine hair shampoo and conditioner so I thought I might as well try the heat protection spray. I was a bit skeptical because it had 'and shine spray'. I'm not a fan of heavy products and in the past, all the shine products I used made my hair really oily.
Not the case with this spray. It does add shine and heat protection without weighing your hair down at all.
It's pretty cheap considering the quality and I've recommended it to a bunch of people already.
My only problem is the spray bottle itself. The spray comes out more like a stream (there's no nozzle to switch it from stream to mist like some products have) which I feel doesn't coat a large area. I fixed this problem by putting the product in a cheap spray bottle that mists.

I received a package of Poise Hourglass Pads and was super excited to try them out. First off, I loved the packaging. The pack is pretty and feels very feminine. The pads are wrapped in cloth wrappers which I love because those plastic wrappers can really echo in a public bathroom, am I right?
As soon as I put it on I noticed how comfortable it was and how well it hugged my body, hence the hour glass shape. I was expecting the pad to feel bulky but it didn't at all, just like wearing a thin maxi pad.
I've had a bit of LBL in the past when working out or during some allergic sneezing fits. I did wear the pad to work out and didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I felt dry despite 'dribbling' a couple times. I usually would just wear pantyliners to stay dry and hope that it would hold up. With these pads, no need. You'll be dry and protected for sure.
I'm not sure if I would buy this product because my LBL is few and far between but I've already recommended it to friends and family. They are a bit pricey but totally worth it!

I received Crest 3D White Whitestrips 2-Hour Express strips and I was really excited to try them. I have tried white strips in the past and I was pleased with the results. You get four packages of strips (top and bottom strips are included in one package) which ends up being a years supply because you use 1 package (two strips) once every 3 months. The strips stay on your teeth for 2 hours, hence the name. So basically you get whiter teeth four times a year for 8 hours in total. Not too shabby, huh?
I first noticed that the strips were thicker. I appreciated this because the older version strips were thin and felt a little flimsy on my teeth. When I applied these strips they felt secure on my teeth.
As I mentioned, you keep the strips on for 2 hours. I found doing the old strips twice a day for 30 minutes each was a big commitment. This way, you slap the strips on when you're bumming around the house and get it over with. Although, the 2 hours did drag.
As soon as the 2 hours were up, I jumped up and almost ran to the bathroom. When I went to take them off, they didn't slide off easily. You have to tug on them a bit. I didn't mind this because at least I knew the strips were really on my teeth well.
I wasn't too sure what to do when the strips were off. They leave some residue on your teeth and they did not cover that in the instructions. I wet my toothbrush a little and lightly buffed the gel like whitening stuff off. No harm, no foul.
I noticed that my teeth were considerable whiter. More than just a couple shades which made me really happy.
I didn't experience any pain during or after having the whitening strips on which is odd because I have sensitive teeth. I have heard of people experiencing pain after the whitening process so I'm glad I didn't.
At around $75 for one box (with a years supply of whitening strips), they are expensive. But I think white teeth help with ones confidence and it is something that people notice.
I plan on maintaining my new white smile with the Crest 3D white toothpaste, mouthwash and toothbrush.
The aesthetics of the packaging are eye catching but more than half of the package is basically unused so I definitely think the packaging could be smaller.
All together, a definite buy!
