I am a complete mascara snob, and I really like this one. The consistency is nice, a little gel like, and it coats very well in just one or two strokes; it does lengthen my lashes to a respectable length. It does not smudge easily, nor does it flake. The brush shape works well with my lashes. I do have to curl my lashes first in order to have a curl, but it holds well. I have very sensitive eyes and they are never red, or itchy with this product. It washes off easily with my cleanser and doesn't seem to leave me looking like a raccoon as I am washing it off. As a bonus, it passes the tear test with a moderate grade (it isn't waterproof afterall). -

As far as price points go, this shampoo is on the more expensive side; however, aveda products have a very specific audience - naturally sourced and human tested ingredients are more costly to the pocket book but easier on the conscience. Aveda has a global minded approach to beauty products and they have made products that are sensuous AND effective.
I used this shampoo more when I was going through my "straight" hair phase; the Aveda curl shampoo is now my standby for my crazy curls but I still bust out the rosemary mint when I want that 'tingling clean' feeling.

The oligo25 line claims to add moisture and 'reveal' more hydrated, beautiful skin. I don't know if my eyes were more beautiful or revealing....they were hydrated!! It smells good, goes on with a very light touch and is not greasy. It felt like it was melting into my skin as I swiped it on. I liked the product and found it soothing to my very sesitive skin. I have rated it average for the reason that even though I liked it, I haven't bothed to use it daily, or even weekly. I've had the same tube thingy for at least a year and there is still some left. It's nice to use, but really not a necessity. -

It makes perfect bathroom (ok, outhouse) reading! HAHAHAHH! =) Sorry I'm such a Geek.

I was so excited to see this book here. I really liked it. It was fun to read and the pages turned themselves. I found the historical struggle for women to keep the art of childbirth at home to be well represented. As a helth care provider, and a woman (that souds funny for me to say as I still feel like i'm not 'grown up' yet) I found it interesting, heartwarming, funny, and a little bit quirky.
A great read, and it's Canadian! =)

It was great for about two weeks and then the itchy, tight skin returned. The more I used it, the itchier I became.
Sorry sesitive lasses, this one wasn't for me.

I have usually liked Dove products. I found that this one did not meet my expectations. It did lather well and I was clean after working in the garden for hours so it gets marks for getting the grime off.
For all you gals with sensitive skin, this one made me itchy (I know, I've said that before too) and the moisture effect just wasn't there.

To be fair I have remarkably sensitive eyes and lots of mascara doesn't really do the trick for me. This one was easy to apply, and did last (if you don't count rubbing most of it off after a few hours), and my lashes did look pretty. Mascara and lip balm are the extent of my sophisicated look, so it has to be great. This one was not for me!
Anyone have any suggestions for my ultra sensitive eyes?

It is not cheap, but you only need a very little bit for it to work wonders. I also rub it into my cuticles and push them back while I'm working so it does double duty. I use it before bed so I've never had any trouble with it absorbing so I can't speak to whether it absorbs quickly...it doesn't leave any flim on my sheets if that helps.
I love this poduct!!

I have impossible hair - crazzzy curls that respond to humidity in the blink of an eye. Goodbye frizzy locks. I actually mix it together with Aveda's curl enhancer lotion for a kick*** curl/control/frizease concoction. I actually bought it because I love the smell of Aveda's Shampure line and wanted my hair to smell like that all of the time even if I don't use the Shampure poo (my choice is Aveda Curly poo and conditioner). I mixed the curl enhancer lotion with the Confixor on a whim to attain the signature smell and genius was born.
A little does go a long way, even in my mane, so use sparingly if you don't want to go to the crunchy end of the spectrum. It seems to lock moisture into my hair (perhaps con"fixing" in the moisture, heheheh); use less product when in humidity!
