I was extremely disappointed with the most aspects of service at Concepts Salon. Although it was in the mall it looked slightly more upmarket than one would think, but I found the staff to be unprofessional (eg. the receptionist was eating fast food at the front desk and had her mouth full when I was checking in).
I had my hair done there a few times before (since they are one of the few salons open on Sunday), but this past visit will certainly be my last. I have never in my life heard of such a thing, but apparently you need to actually SPECIFY that after your color, you do not want to be left in a chair with soaked hair (still full of dye) to blowdry yourself. I was completely shocked. Not only did the receptionist taking my appointment interpret "just a color, no cut" to somehow mean I wanted to be left on my own with wet hair, but the stylist didn't even check the color after the wash to see how it turned out, which is COMPLETELY unacceptable.
I can't imagine even the most downmarket hair salon not taking it for granted that a client would require a blowdry or that the stylist should check the color, which by the way, is totally uneven and will now have to be redone at a better salon. That aside, I couldn't care less if they want to charge extra for blowdrying, but to have to request it or be left to your own devices is just absurd.
