Lancome is such a classic. I was excited to see this and the CILS Booster XL in my mascara samples kit from Shoppers Drugmart. I don't often use the XL, but the Hypnose was my purse mascara for ages. It shows on the packaging! I loved that this woke up my eyes on mornings I was rushing out the door. No curling necessary. The wavy wand, thin creamy formula and long and soft bristles are a dream. Did I go with this one for my full size mascara with that samples kit? No, but I would purchase this again in the future. What an awesome product experience! -

I had high hopes for this mascara, with "wonder perfect" in the name.. that leads to high expectations! I disliked the scent, it smelled very chemically to me. The tiny bristles and straight wand felt ineffective, and throughout the day I felt like this mascara just kind of ... flaked away.
To be clear, this was a sample size, as I took the opportunity of a Shoppers Drugmart sample trial with a coupon for a full size! Perhaps it was the sample size that just couldn't deliver like a full size wand and package. Regardless, it was first off my list for purchasing.

This was a surprisingly thick formula, but I love and adore the brush shape. An hourglass wand, thick at the tip and the base but narrow through the middle, the short bristles felt more effective than a straight wand.
I didn't find myself coming back to this one though, preferring the effectiveness of Maybelline the Falsies - or Benefit BadGal Gang. The mascara is effective but I wouldn't buy a full size of this one, I felt like it was more money because of the name on it, not because of incredible results. Could it be loved deeply by you? Maybe, but I wouldn't name it in a recommendation to a friend!

This setting spray has lasted me longer than I expected from the little bottle! I feel like I don’t need that much, my makeup stays all day, and my skin feels refreshed and happy afterwards. This is a mandatory refill when I hit Sephora next!

This BOX though! It had a refill x2 of the Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer, which I had tried and loved before. Highly recommend, easy to find at Shoppers!
Both Nyx items are staples in my opinion, who can go wrong with a good setting spray and a sharp cat eye?!
The Maybelline Mascara is a waterproof wonder that I’ll be refilling for sure. No clumping, no transferring and the spoolie really grabbed each lash and lengthened it.
Lara bars are a household favourite, with ingredients we can pronounce and sensitive to our gluten and dairy free needs. Tasty too. Not too sweet, and protein packed to fuel you through.
I’ve never tried the Waterless Batiste product, but was pleasantly surprised by the mousse texture and fresh (but not overpowering) scent.
Vasanti was a new product to me. The colour grabbed my attention immediately. Creamy and smooth, my lips didn’t feel dry, and the colour faded nicely throughout the evening. Although I had wished the colour was longer lasting, it at least faded evenly and ended up being a pretty shade by nights end anyway!
Last but not least, the Garnier SkinActive sheet masks. A long time favourite of mine, this line leaves my skin singing. I was excited to try the Super-Purifying Charcoal mask. I wasn’t dissatisfied with the mask, as it was moisturizing as usual... it was the purifying part that simply felt lack-luster.

Batiste Waterless Cleansing Foam with Coconut Milk
Like any batiste product I have tried, this mousse-like dry shampoo was incredible. I will definitely be refilling this product. My day three hair was suddenly alive again, with volume and moisture both!
