I love my thai food, so when I heard about this little gem I just had to go! Its a very small (family owned) restaurant on MacKay street in Montreal which serves a variety of Thai dishes. The ambiance was calm and romantic - great for date. There were a lot of buddha statues to admire. I was more pleased with the quality of food than anything else. The BF and I had the fish appetizer and the black pepper shrimps, creamy lobster and rice for entree - all for $50. The quantity was just right and we were stuffed at all (which is a good thing). Because it was a family restaurant, the service was done by the owner himself. The whole place is very intimate and I would most certainly go back there again. -

This is the best thing for chapped lips! For the past two weeks, I had the worst lips due to the cold weather. I mean - really really bad lips. I tried from blistex to the all organic lip balm and I still wasn't able to heal the lips! I finally decided to buy a small tub of vaseline. WIthin one day, I was almost completely chapped-free! The jelly base slowly chipped away the dry skin around my lips. I was able to get most of it off by the end of the day and had my lips all plumped up the next day. I am in debt to this product! Its cheap and works amazingly well :) -

According to the Cover Girl website, the Trublend blush is a sheer loose powder blush which contains natural minerals which gives a brightened appearance, for a natural-looking kiss of colour. The sheer appearance is good for day time wear, but I found it too light for my preference. However, I really like how its mineral and really adheres to the skin tone. For this reason, I recommend wearing this during day time as it gives the face a light shimmering glow. -

The gloss itself is a sheer pink colour (the one in the picture) so it gives it a natural moisturized look with a hint of colour. I personally like the mint smell - its unique and tasty! This would be very appropriate for work! I highly recommend this if you're looking for a drugstore brand. -

My infatuation for Daniel Craig is beyond words. And after watching Quantum of Solace, I am more in love with him than I ever was. I had a hard time explaining why he makes an invigorating Bond as compared to others. I can't put my hands on it, but it may be his overall character. How he portrays himself as Bond is different from any previous actors (especially Brosnan!). His chiseled face and gorgeous physique also factors in to his overall appeal. Quantum of Solace is really a sequel to the previous Bond movie. It brought about different emotions of Bond - jealousy, revenge and desperation. The audience was able to see 'human' feelings and how it affected the choices he made. Despite the raw and emotional torment Bond is being portrayed as, the film still stays true to his character - he will always be a womanizer. As for the Bond girl, I personally think Olga Kurylenko was an odd pick. If you want someone to play a Brazillian chick, you want someone from the South Americas - not from the Ukraine. However, I will say that her tan and 'Brazillian' accent pulled a decent latin chick. Although the affair between Bond and Strawberry Fields was small and quick, it was important to see Craig take his shirt off. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. Whether you are going out with your girlfriends or on a date, it is well worth to see a classic that caters to the mature audience. -

I received the Dead Sea Aromantic Scrub Salt to try. I'm usually too busy to have a bath, so this gave me a great excuse to take a long hot bath. The feel of the salts are like any other, but they're more refined and soft than most products I've used. It gives the skin an oily feel which is great for me since I have dry skin. According to the jar, the ingredients include almond oil, grade seed oil, avocado oil and mineral oil. I love the feeling afterwards - it gives it a creamy touch to the skin. The smell is also a bonus! I'm keen in trying more of their products as they seem to be using a lot of minerals and natural ingredients in their line. -

This eyeshadow (I have it in Gold Sizzle as well) works well if you're using an eyeshadow base (UDPP, L'Oreal Decrease, etc). Without it, its not as pigmented as I would like. However, you do pay a small fraction of the price from what you would pay at MAC, so its a great product if you're on a budget. Its definitely better than their previous eyeshadow line! Shoppers usually have them on sale, but regular price is $5.99~
Highly recommended for Christmas stockings!

After readings the review on ChickAdvisor.com, I quickly got the Yes to Carrots C Me Smile Lip Butter for the winter. I am in love with this product. Its creamy and applies on without it being too greasy. I've been using it for a month now and its going great so far. Its not sticky at all and it really works well for chapped lips during the cold days. Like the previous review states, what makes this product so unique is that its all natural, paraben free and 95% organic!
I would highly recommend this as a winter investment.

This is my first purchase from Fruits and Passions. I usually go to The Body Shop or La Senza for body products, but I was pleasantly surprised as how much products Fruits and Passions carry! This Roll-On was greatly needed right after the gym or a quick touch up on my wrist during office hours. The Pink bottle has a fruity/rose smell. Because it is Eau De Toilette, the smell doesn't last for a long time. I would recommend it because it is fairly cheap ($12) plus the smell isn't nauseating! -

I received this product from ChickAdvisor for review purposes. As a MAC cosmetics addict, I was really excited in trying this fluidline out once again. Using a mini pointed brush, the thick and creamy texture glides along smoothly on the eyes (with or without eyeshadow). You may need to time to get a handle of it, but its very easy to master a great eye line with the product. I have it in blacktrack which is a solid black colour that really intensifies the eyes. I sometimes have trouble with "winging" the eyes, but I think its because I need a lot more pointy brushes! Overall, a great product. Unless you're a make up artist, you'll have a tough time finishing this product in 6-10 months! -
