After all of the Insta hype surrounding velvet matte lips and most recently holographic lip glosses and metallic lip paints, the blotted lip is likely to be the next big make-up trend.
It’s meant to look worn in and slightly imperfect, and be almost youthful. Imagine the aftermath of eating one too many ice lollies. The blotted lip is a step up from a tinted lip balm and an even bigger step away from being a drying matte lip colour.
The blotted lip feels comfortable and looks nonchalant and effortlessly cool. This is a trend that can be embraced by absolutely anyone, even if you don’t have a steady hand, which makes it perfect for the morning commute. Bobbi Brown have an entire range dedicated to this upcoming trend. Crushed Lip Colour is the all new “glide and go” lippy revolution.
Crushed Lip Colours are the perfect partnership of an ultra moisturising lip balm with perfectly pigmented lipstick. There are 20 shades of Crushed Lip Colour, each of which is a splash of high definition colour with a satin finish and nourishing formula.
Vitamin C and E form a hydrating base as well as a hint of beeswax, which makes these lip colours the perfect winter lipsticks. The formula is long wearing and does not flake or bleed.
Other lip products are already on the market that are thought to create a similar effect to Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Lip Colour. However, the alternatives lack shade variety. Most of the 20 shades in Bobbi Brown’s collection are universally flattering, and there are pinks, reds, berry shades, nudes and brown toned hues.
