I like retailers that have a fairly well-organized web-site. Too many US based companies have useless Canadian versions of their web-sites. BBB also has good online support. Their selection is good, and they will often carry products not commonly available elsewhere. I do find them priced on the high side, so try to combine purchases with the 20% coupon. I recently ordered 2 expensive chairs online, and unfortunately they were defective. When I went to return them, I had a hard time getting all my money back. (I guess they had gone on sale in the two weeks since I ordered them). Luckily I had my receipt, otherwise I would have been shortchanged $200! At first, they weren't going to refund the $28 shipping charges, but I said the product was defective...so they gave it to me. But, I wouldn't order online again. Which is a shame, as there is no BBB in my town, and I have to travel aways to shop in person. -

I was given this product to review. I used it along with the Vichy Skin Sleep. I would have liked more detailed directions. It said could be applied 2X a day under other creams. At first I did apply it both morning and then at night under the Skin Sleep. But, I felt applying two creams at night was a little overkill, so switched to just using it in the morning. I like that it comes in a pump, just feels more hygienic than dipping your finger into a jar, particularly as you need so little, it will last a while! Feels very pleasant on the skin, not oily. Have very rarely used face creams before, so I can't really compare it to any other brand, but I will definitely continue to use this, and would buy it in the future (particularly if on special), and would recommend it to my friends and family. -

I received this product for free to review, but I would definitely purchase it in the future. We have just been through the hottest and driest June on record, and the skin on my face has actually improved in texture and looks. It is markedly smoother, and feels softer and looks less pasty. Surprisingly, after using for about 3 weeks, the appearance of the deep lines in my forehead (which I have had since I was 12 years old), has actually lessened, ie. they are not as noticeable. I would recommend this cream to any of my friends or family looking for a nice, light, pleasant night cream. I did develop a couple of skin blemishes in the first week, not sure if it was from sweat, sunscreen or this product, but my skin has cleared, and no further problems. I do have very sensitive skin, so have had to be very careful about which products I use. -

JYSK is an interesting store. I can best describe it as K-Mart meets Ikea. Unfortunately, there is no longer one in my town, so I only head out to shop there when looking for something specific. However, for some things their selection and price is incomparable to anywhere else...in a good way. I was searching for a duvet cover for over a year, and had actually bought one on sale at Home Outfitters, brought it home and decided it just didn't go well enough with my decor and wasn't worth even the reduced clearance price. I had searched every department store and home decor place to no avail, and had no luck finding what I wanted in my price range. Then I thought about the duvet cover I had bought many years ago at Jysk, and thought I may as well try there. Lo and behold, they had walls of duvet covers, each one had a sample hanging and I was able to find the perfect one at an excellent price. I also bought a pack of 10 face cloths while there, and even reading glasses for my hubby. -

Full disclosure, I am not a huge consumer/user of beauty products. I had never bought a 'wrinkle' cream before some one approached me in the mall to try their very expensive product. I must have been vulnerable that day, because I walked away with two jars of masques that cost me $300, and I have only used a couple of times. But, that experience opened my eyes to the fact that I do need to start looking after my skin, and that perhaps there are products out there that could improve my appearance. Before going on a trip 'Down Under' to New Zealand and Australia, I started researching and trying skin care products, particularly anti-aging products. I have sensitive skin, and found some products produced redness, rash, and or pimples. Thankfully, most cosmetic counters offer samples, so I didn't have to buy products that I reacted to.
The Bay was having a Clinique bonus offer special, and I booked a make-up session with one of the staff. She was very helpful and recommended this Repairwear Laser Focus. I have to say, even though I don't apply it religiously, and even then only once a day, not twice a day as recommended, I have noticed a difference in my skin, particularly a diminishing of the the appearance of the wrinkles in my forehead, (which I have had since my early teens).
I find the eyedropper format very easy to use, and like the idea of not contaminating the product with my fingers. It smells fine, (says no scent, but it does smell sort of soapy), and feels wonderful. It soaks into the skin immediately, and leaves no after stickiness, just softness.
Writing this review, I have become motivated to give it a true test, ie, applying it 2X a day, every day, for 4 weeks, to see how much of a difference I can really determine.

I bought two Paradise Outdoor Low Voltage Lighting Systems at Costco, and they were quite reasonably priced. I loved the effect of the lights in the garden, they were surprisingly bright, and gave enough light to be able to walk the patio at night with no additional lighting. However, shortly after being installed they stopped working. I have to say Customer Service was great...he even walked my husband through testing and reinstalling the lights to try and get them to work. Unfortunately both sets shorted out, and I returned them to Costco. I am now looking for a different system, will probably try and find a LED low voltage system. Not sure if I would go with Paradise again. I am leery of the quality of the Made in China product. -

I bought this version of the Oral-B Profession Care Rechargeable toothbrush at Costco, and so of course it was very reasonably priced. It has been discontinued, but if this one ever dies on me, (and I don't see that happening as this reliable product just keeps on ticking), I would definitely buy another Oral-B.
I really appreciate that the toothbrush heads are interchangeable between many different models. I visited my sister in New Zealand, and was able to bring her new heads even though her Oral-B model was not the same. I was able to get an insanely good deal on replacement heads at Walmart, so I won't need to buy any more for years!
This toothbrush holds its charge a long time. In fact, though we were there a month, I only recharged mine once (could maybe have gone the whole month). Braun recommends you keep the recharging unit plugged in and recharge it daily, but I unplug mine, and only recharge it when I notice it slowing down.
I like the dual speed option, though I usually always use the higher speed. I like the two minute timer, so I know when I have brushed long enough. I find it quite pleasant to use, and would never go back to using a manual toothbrush.

I bought this on sale for my husband as a Christmas gift. I was replacing an expensive Cuisinart grinder that though effective, was extremely loud (think airplanes taking off), and literally the week after a house guest had remarked at how much she liked it, it stopped working. My husband had got it through a rewards points program at his work, so it was just too complicated a procedure to return it. I didn't want another unreliable grinder so I did a fair amount of research. This is a product that gets used several times a day in our house of heavy coffee drinkers.
Though initially deterred by the price tag, I was able to buy it at HomeOutfitters during a Bodum sale, and even found one that had been marked down.
We are extremely happy with this purchase, and I have even recommended it to strangers that I see looking at coffee grinders. It is attractive, compact, and not as noisy as our previous grinder. It does an excellent job of grinding the coffee, the settings are easy and intuitive to use. And best of all, there is very little static in the glass ground coffee container, and no longer do I have messy coffee grounds all over the counter every morning.

Pleasant to use. Definitely has reduced/erased my tooth sensitivity which is what Sensodyne is known for. Last time I bought a tube I chose the Brilliant Whitening version. Looking at the ingredients list, many of the toothpastes seemed to have the same ingredients, I wonder if the different labels are just marketing ploys to try and grab a larger market share. I have noticed a gradual increase in the 'whiteness' of my teeth. No one would describe them as Brilliant White, but they are not yellowish as they once were. -
