So, this shampoo bar was life changing for me. I am not joking with that review headline–I will never buy a plastic bottle of shampoo ever again. Not only was I happy that this product is cruelty free and uses sustainable packaging, but what made it even better was that the ingredients are 94% plant based, this product is more sustainably sourced, more eco-friendly, and used more renewable energies. As if that isn't already awesome enough, I really enjoyed the experience with the bar too! The shape was perfect for my hand (I didn't fumble or drop the bar once) and I was able to lather all of the places that needed more lather without any stress. I usually struggle with getting a good lather and losing shampoo in the process of either getting it out of the bottle and into my hands or onto my head. This bar is just wonderful and I'm never going back. I hope to try the other bars in the lineup too and find the one that's best for me, but in the meantime, the honey repaire bar I was provided made my hair feel moisturized, shiny, and just happy. It also smells incredible. I could go on and on, but I'll stop there and just say: Overall, my experience was incredible! -

3.5 stars
I really liked the concept behind the Love is Blind game (and the fact that there even is a game). I don't watch a lot of reality TV, but Love is Blind is one of those that really pulled me in. I binged all of the first season in 2 days. I also recently watched the Love is Blind: After the Alter, so everything that happened in season 1 and and the specials that came after was fresh in my mind while playing the party game.
I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow. Also the way the game flows I think is the closest they could have gotten it to what it may have been like for the people on the show (or as close to the experience as you can get by using a board and cards). Being able to flip the board was a neat idea and makes good use of the game board as well as saving on space in the box that everything comes in.
While actually launching into the game with friends, however, we found that some of the wording and language used, or even the ideology behind some of the questions didn't match our way of thinking as millennials (with an exceptions of maybe 15-20% of the cards). Since this game is ages 17 and up, it would have been better to make the language more current. A lot of the wording and ideas behind said wording seemed to be aimed more at Baby Boomers and Gen X, so a lot of the time we found ourselves pausing to analyze these ideologies which for us felt outdated. I don't know whether they just didn't have Millennials or Gen Z people on staff when writing what was on the cards, or if the idea was to appeal to as many generations as possible...but yes, we didn't click with a lot of the language and ideas.
For the physical aspects of the game itself, I found the box to be of high quality and liked the colours and style used on the exterior as well as on the game pieces. We also liked that the plastic rings weren't complete circles so that they could fit on thicker fingers as well. The game board, while ingenious for being flippable and so small (taking up very little space), I found could have been higher quality. It didn't lay completely flat, and some of the glossy paper that was glued onto the cardboard peeled off the one edge when it caught on something during the first game.
Overall, it was a fun game and it was interesting to see how well the couples in our friend group know one another! We just wish it had been a little more relatable for our generation.
I posted a video of the box and what it contains on my TikTok for those who are curious: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdKf7x5W/

While I appreciated that the serum in the same product line was very neutral scented, I absolutely LOVE the smell of this night pressed serum. It smells incredible! I also really like the texture of the cream, how it goes on and doesn't leave my skin looking shiny or feeling sticky. It gives my skin a bit of a moisturized but matte look, which is something that I always aim for. I don't have the most even skin tone, so a matte finish is more flattering for me as it minimizes the appearance of imperfections. But back to the effects of this product. It moisturizes my skin thoroughly without me having to apply tonnes of product, and–as I already mentioned–smells wonderful.

I'd been wanting to try a hyaluroinic acid for a while (especially as a serum), therefore I was super excited when I saw that Chickadvisor and Neutrogena Canada had teamed up and sent me a complimentary full-sized bottle of Neutrogena's hyaluronic acid serum to try and review. I liked how the design for the bottle is simple but functional, and I like that they kept the glass clear so that you can see the little blue pearls floating around in the serum. (I tried looking up what the blue pearls are for but haven't yet found what their function might be. Either way...they're pretty to look at and they disolve on your skin!) I liked that this serum had a neutral scent, and I loved how it made my skin feel after application. I pair it with Neutrogena's night pressed cream for a thoroughly moisturized face. -

I wasn't quite sure where to begin with this one. The mix of scents intrigued me when I first heard about it. Sandalwood and citrus–I hadn't smelled those together before! Once I received the product for review and took the cap off, I found that the sandalwood is definitely more prominent, with the citrus being very subtle. Trying it on myself, I found that the citrus smell completely disappears (which is completely fine)! The sandalwood smell is very very nice. I also found that it became stronger once the product warmed up against my skin. I will say that I'd prefer the smell more on my boyfriend than myself, but that's just a personal preference. This deodorant is unisex (and even if it wasn't marketed as such, I would say that people can wear whatever scent they like, whether it's traditionally considered to be a male of female scent). My skin didn't react to this formula in any negative way, and I found that the product went on smoothly. This Schmidt's deodorant also has charcoal mixed into the formula, which is always great (and visible when looking at the deodorant in the applicator, but not visible on the skin or on clothes. -

My first impression when smelling this deodorant was that it brought back memories from the summer–sunshine, piña coladas, and the sound of water either lapping against the edge of a pool or the edges of a dock in a lake. Needless to say, I like the smell a lot. I was curious to see whether the scent changes when the deodorante is actually worn on my skin. I applied it and waited a few hours. I didn't feel any discomfort while wearing it–the deodorant went on smooth and didn't get lumpy while I wore it. I also didn't find that my skin was itchy or irritated in any way (since this is one of their sensitive formulas, that was important for me). Regarding the smell, I found that the hint of coconut fades a little bit, but I could still smell the pineapple. Overall, I'm quite happy with this one. -

Thank you ChickAdvisor and Garnier Canada for sending me the aloe Fructis Hydrating Treat hair mask for free to test and review!
The first aspect of this product that I encountered was the packaging. I like how colourful the tubs and labels are, and I also like that these hair masks come in 2 sizes. The small tub is great for travel while the large tub is great for at home if you love the mask and don’t feel like buying a bunch of the little jars for the same amount of product. As a bonus, the tubs are recyclable, which is always a plus in my opinion.
My second impression was with the smell of the mask. As I said, I was sent the aloe version and it smells WONDERFUL. I’ve been sniffing my ponytail all day because it just smells so good!
And lastly, and most importantly, here was my experience with the mask itself. Before I go into how it made my hair feel though, I just want to mention how happy I am that this hair mask is made out of 98% naturally derived ingredients, it’s a vegan formula, and also has no parabens, silicone, or artificial colourants. Needless to say, I was very confident in applying this product to my hair and excited to reap the benefits. I used the Fructis aloe hair mask as a 1-minute mask after washing and rinsing my hair. I loved how thick the mask is and how it didn’t drip off the ends, sending precious product down the drain. I then washed out the mask, towel-dried my hair and let it dry naturally.
My hair is so happy! It’s moisturized, has volume and shine. Plus it smells amazing!
Needless to say, I’m going to continue using this product and definitely recommend it!

This review will be a little different from my others, because I will be writing it based on feedback from my boyfriend who tries the deodorant. He said that he liked the smell of the product when opening it, and he also liked that it went on smooth. He does a lot of manual labour, so he was happy to find that Schmidt’s Charcoal + Magnesium deodorant kept him smelling fresh while putting that strain on his body. No sweat smell. He did, however, mention that as he was working and his body was heating up, the smell changed into something like a citronella scent. This isn’t a bad thing of course, because we both like that smell, but it was just interesting to us that the smell would develop in that way. Maybe a chemical reaction between the deodorant’s formal and his sweat? Overall, he definitely likes the Charcoal + Magnesium smell (the original scent and all of its evolutions), liked how smooth it went on, how long it lasted, and he says that he will definitely continue using it! -

I have tried a more natural deodorant by Schmidt's before and remember it being a little coarse due to the baking soda in the formula. I loved the smell of it though! Anyway, I was happy to find that this new formula goes on smooth. When smelling the deodorant initially, I could only smell the rose. When I applied it, however, it seems that the heat of my skin activated the black pepper smell (which I thought was very cool!), and that was a bit more dominant for a bit before the rose took over again (or maybe my nose was desensitized to the pepper smell but not the rose smell). I like that the deodorant's scent lasted through the day and was happy that no sweat smell made it through! It's strange, roses are my favourite flower... but personally, I'm not a fan of wearing rose perfume on myself, and that's the only reason I wouldn't get this particular scent again in the future. That aside, overall, I’m quite satisfied! -
