Essense is a brand that is so cheap and really good quality for a lot of their products, surprisingly. I mean I just gave DIOR a flimsy review! This mascara is a tiny fraction of the cost! The formula is wet and doesn't dry out, therefore no flakes. This is great in general, but especially for us gals that gave seasonal allergies. It's not a top shelf product but it gives a really great look for the price. Considering how often you have to replace mascara you just cannot go wrong with this one. It gives a nice full look and stays put. I like to wing it out to the side for a more dramatic look. Definitely recommended! -

A definite YES. I've got really thin sparse lashes and this formula is magical for my lash type. It gave me great volume with lots of coats and because it's a more wet formula I didn't have to wait for any dry time between coats. The wand hugged the roots of my lashes and if you wiggle at the root and pull up and to the side it gives a sick lash look! Nice an full and fluttery. This didn't clump or flake and stayed put all day. This one is a total repurchase for me. And bonus on the cheap price! -

It flaked in my eyes...ouch. and my eyes were just running all day from using it. I don't use waterproof mascara ever so this made such a mess on my face. Nope, won't use it again. -

I like how it doesn't make wild promises but it delivers a good solid performance. It stayed all day for me and didn't flake off. I like the formula and the wand hugged my lashes right at the root so I could sweep them up into a pretty decent long curled lash. The formula was good for building coverage without getting too clumpy. I really like this and I will buy it again. You definitely can't complain about the price for the results you get. -

Okay so I'm really torn about recommending or not. Ultimately I chose to recommend. The good parts - blackest black color. The formula is good. Pretty good in fact. I have to apply several coats to get the full thick look I want though. The wand is pretty good and does a good job of reaching all lashes and I was able to lift my lashes with it to get a really good wide eyed look. What I don't like is the price. Yes it's Dior but I'm disappointed in this Dior product for the price ... I expected DIOR to blow me away for this price. I mean let's face it, you replace your mascara every 3-6 months depending on the quality of the formula. If it blew me away I wouldn't complain about the price but I can think of a couple of drugstore brands that give me just as good results for way less price. So overall it's good but too pricey. -

This is a really decent mascara and, as always, I get it in blackest black. It is somewhat clumpy in terms of the formula but you can fix that with a lash brush if it bothers you. I really love a full thick look and this did what I wanted, but with some clumps. I kept taking the wand to try to disperse it but it would just make a bunch of lashes stick together. Overall, it's a pretty good mascara but I would recommend a few moments of drying time between coats and to use a lash comb to separate. This is an extra step I don't really want so I probably won't purchase again. I think the price is way too high. -

I honestly do not understand why this is one of the most popular loved mascaras on the market, even compared to high end mascaras. Every beauty editor recommends this but I just don't get it. My lashes are thin and sparse and I really need and want the blackest black possible plus a formula and wand that gives my lashes major volume for that fat thick voluminous lashes look. I don't get this at all no matter how many coats I use or even if I use an eyelash curler, which I am far too lazy to do. This formula is too thin for me. I think it's well loved because it's not clumpy, which is great, but this mascara is not for me. It wouldn't even make my top 20 list. -

I really like the sooty effect of this mascara. Darkest black is what I always use. Wand gives great coverage that you can build with several coats to give the full look I love. It's a bit pricey for a drugstore brand so I wait to get it on sale... +
