Did you know Peak of the Market is a grower-owned “not for profit” vegetable supplier and operates in Manitoba under the Farm Products Marketing Act. Their quality standards exceed the national standards they even have a toll free consumer response line to address any consumer concerns. You can sign up to receive Peak of the Market's FREE recipes bye-mail. They have an annual Peak’s Family Fun Day that’s open to everyone and everything is absolutely FREE with "any" donation to Variety, The Children’s Charity of Manitoba. Variety is close to my families “heart” because my daughter actually had a small heart issue when she was born and we made 3 or 4 trips to Variety to get her checked out. Each time the employees were friendly and helpful. Thankfully we don’t need to go anymore but It’s reassuring that Manitoba has such a great facility.
I really didn't know much of the above but today I took my two kids to the Family day and we enjoyed ALL the activities and yummy food. My daughter must of went on the bouncer castle about 8 separate times! We even took the tour of the Packing and Distribution Centre. I plan to make the family fun Day an annual event in our household.

This is such a great idea Winnipeg, I can't wait to tell you about it. This is what Winnipeg is all about!
I heard about Fruit Share on TV just a few days ago, I checked out their website and thought I just HAD to share it with you.
Info taken From their website: "Fruit Share Manitoba is dedicated to picking, sharing and enjoying fresh fruit growing in backyards throughout Winnipeg, Manitoba.
They connect fruit owners with volunteer fruit pickers to make good use fruit currently not being used.
They fostering the idea of neighbours helping neighbours.
How It works:
Fruit owners make their fruit available for picking by registering with Fruit Share. Volunteers, who have also registered with Fruit Share, are coordinated and dispatched to pick the fruit. Once picked, the fruit is shared three ways. One third goes to the homeowner (if desired), one third is split between the volunteers and one third is given to community organizations that can use the fruit (eg. Winnipeg Harvest, Siloam Mission, seniors at Fred Tipping Place, etc.). Everyone benefits!"
What do you think ? Isn't it great?

You can not beat the great price and colors. I'm not sure what they do to my back but they are sure easy to slip on and off all summer. Great for the little ones too!

I wouldn't go anywhere else for a pedicure. They have phthalate-free and tolulene-free nail polish, a must for me now that I understand the harm that those chemicals do to our bodies.
