I’ve not yet tried it with the apple cider vinegar, but I look forward to it! Just the water mixture is wonderful. It’s not like a miracle mask, but I can tell it cleans out my pores without disturbing my acne-prone skin.
TIP: I do the following to avoid overwhelming my fragile drainage/pipes. (I’m sure it’s fine for typical sewage/pipes, but ours are fragile & of material no longer used.) To mix the mask, I use a plastic spoon & cup & then hang on to them after applying the mask. To prep for removing the mask, I grab a few paper towels (p.t.) & recycle a grocery bag for use as a trash bag. When time to remove the mask, I sit in front of a mirror, open the grocery bag in front of me & place the cup & p.t. in it. I lean over the bag & use the spoon to remove the areas that are still wet. When needed, I wipe the spoon off on the p.t. (which is within the bag, avoiding a mess) Whatever’s left on my face after that is hardened clay, which requires rinsing with warm water. Depending on the thickness of the hardened clay, I may use a clean p.t. to wipe off excess clay in between rinsing face.

I’m fair skinned. I bought the fair/medium shade & wanted it for convenience, as it’s a chore to carve out self-care time most days. I gave it a few stars since some of the negatives are enhanced by my desire for instant results. It’s intended to progressively build up with use, but if I use it sparingly, I see zero results & am left with a faint self-tanner smell. If I use liberally, I’m left w/ splotchiness & self-tanner smell. -

PROS: I like this mascara better than any others I’ve tried, including triple-priced brands. The regular formulas (not waterproof or limited/special editions) work amazing to add length & volume. I love the effects of the brush & consistency of the mascara. It doesn’t clump (I’ve included my application steps below), & I’m convinced it’s best after using it a few days (maybe I should pump the wand after opening?). It never ever flakes (although I replace my tubes each month, typically).
CONS: I cannot wear the mascara on my bottom lashes. (Pic I’ve posted shows it on the bottom lashes) No matter how little product or how close to the eye & away from the tip I apply it, I get raccoon eyes. I’m not a makeup guru, but even though I don’t apply on the bottom lashes, I see shade by the end of the day. It’s worth noting, I have oily skin which likely contributes. I also get a new tube every month, so that’s about $10-$12/month.
MY APPLICATION: I get length & volume from only 2 coats. Sometimes I use a cheap lash curler, but not consistently. I only apply to the top lashes due to raccoon eyes (happens to my oily skin irregardless but is waaaay worse when I apply mascara to bottom lashes; this pic I’ve posted has it applied to the bottom lashes). By the time I’m finished w/ the 1st coat on both sides, I repeat w/ the 2nd coat. I use a q tip to remove any uh-ohs.

I love this! I have fair skin, am acne prone & oily. I’m not a makeup guru. I have struggled to find full-coverage makeup that doesn’t completely wash me out (despite adding in bronzer & blush/highlighter). This is the best recommendation, which came from my dear friend who works at a dermatologist! My daily application process consists of: skincare routine to include SPF; no primer; cover trouble areas w/ concealer; cover entire face w/ BB cream to even out color; using a big brush, I apply this goodness over my entire face, including over my closed eyes (this “goodness” being Jane Iredale Mineral PurePressed in shade Golden Glow). I still swipe bronzer under my cheekbones, blush above them, & seal it all w/ setting spray. It’s still there more than 8 hours later w/o any touch up (often after some t.p. blotting of my face throughout the day, too!) My friend picked the shade Golden Glow, which I thought may be too dark, but it works well especially since I use a light self tanner on my neck & chest.
It is priced higher than my budget-conscious self likes to spend, but it has lasted for more than 3 months w/ daily use, & the pic I’m including shows the amount still remaining. So it lasts a long time, but it’s pricey (hence the 1/2 star withheld for Value)

Dove’s Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo is hands down the best dry shampoo I’ve used! I have thin, oily, blond-colored hair that’s naturally wavy & curly. I straighten it daily, which leaves my hair flat. This dry shampoo allows me to go 3 days between washes. Sometimes, I even apply it to just-washed hair so I get the texture & volume benefits. Process is key for me: #1) I brush & straighten my hair BEFORE applying the dry shampoo; #2) as instructed, I lift sections of my hair to apply the dry shampoo underneath my hair & get to the roots; #3) i throw my head over/upside down so my hair is lifted away from the scalp, & then I massage the product into my hair & scalp; #4) standing back upright, I use my fingers (not a brush) to place & style my hair how I want it to be for the rest of the day. I don’t use hairspray on my dry shampoo days, as it provides the perfect hold! -
