I bought these Maple Kisses candies for an American friend and one for myself. I was super surprised at how soft these maple kisses were. The taste is good, although I must say that with only 10% real maple syrup, they are relying on other means to flavour it. I have to give this a 1 for nutritional value of course because it really doesn't have any! The taste is good though. It reminded me of those Halloween toffees, but those are always hard and not that great, but these were soft and yummy. It's a great gift for any Canadian living down in America or a good gift for any visiting family or friend from any country. The package isn't overly large which is actually a bonus. You don't want these hanging around forever and I promise you - they won't.
I found these at a major grocery store chain and at a good price point (sale) so I felt that the value was definitely there.

I bought this cordless Dyson approx 1 month ago. I use this DAILY!
Our house is a mixed floor house with hardwood (real) on the main and carpeted stairs and bedrooms on the upper floors. I detested using our central vacuum because of the hose that I have to drag around that ends up marking up the bannister.
Cost: Was it worth it? I'll have to tell you in a few years to say for sure, but I can say that I've put it to the test and have enjoyed using it quite a bit so for me, the huge cost has had some great benefits.
Did I get what it said I would get for power? Claims are 20 minutes of cleaning or 6 minutes if you are using the high-power setting (using the direct drive head cleaner that has a moving head). I did get what was claimed. It is unfortunate that it takes 3 hours to charge, but I often clean several times daily for the main floor (just sucking up hair and dirt from the floor and cereal from the kids). The main carpeted area I have quite a few stairs and a lot of carpet. I can get through my stairs and part of the carpet before having to charge. **It is NOT meant to be the main vacuum of the house so I was NOT disappointed by this. Just know you can't go on a 1 hour vacuuming spree. My stairs are cleaner because I don't have to drag out this huge central vac anymore. I can just quickly vacuum the stairs and enjoy that part of it.
I used the attachments to thoroughly clean our SUV. It worked wonders and the attachments I felt were very well designed and worked well for the application. I liked that you can take that same smaller attachment then add it to the long bar in a second and then use it right away for doing something else. Every attachment is meant to switch out quickly in this way. I found that feature very very nice.
There is a separate head just for cleaning hardwood (the "bristles" are like a superfine microfibre). I was worried that the moving parts would damage my floor but it didn't. I still prefer to "spot clean" and wouldn't use this very much, but it is nice in the event I spilled a whole lot of flour on the floor I can just use that separate head.
I also like that I can hold it easily in my hand. It is a bit silly to mention this, but I don't have great hand strength (I never have, even as a kid and as a teen). I find this easy to hold, easy to empty the garbage bin from it. I like that I am not dragging around a separate piece or canister or anything else. I can just vacuum away!
Like all things Dyson, the con is the price, but I was able to save up points at a retail store which help to subsidize it greatly.
Why did I buy the Absolute vs other Dyson products?
The absolute came with the extra motorized head for cleaning hardwood plus the HEPA filter. I felt that if I was going to buy a Dyson, I wanted all the pieces so I could use it for a long time.
What was it about the other brands I didn't like? Most of the other styles (non-Dyson) had features that were either already trying to copy Dyson or were not as well made (and designed well - because like I said, I need everything to fit well in my hand). The allergy to dust I have was a factor in making sure I can get something with a good filter in it. Dyson's seemed to be able to clean just that much better than anything else I was able to look at (as I didn't look at EVERY vacuum out there in existence, I can only give you an opinion on the experience I encountered).

I was one of the ones chosen to review this product. I was really interested in trying this as I have no affinity for sugary colas and only drank club soda in the past or water that I would flavour with lemon, lime or berries. I really took the time to review this product, trying it on its own and with different meals to see if it would affect the taste. The taste on its own is really refreshing, it certainly tastes just like I put a hint of fresh lemon in it myself. It was not overpowering. This being said, I found that if I ate a high-protein meal (like steak), I would not necessarily taste the lemon flavour. The great thing about this product and other Canada Dry club soda's is that the carbonation is just the way I like it. It tastes crisp and with the lemon, it's very refreshing. I would DEFINITELY continue to buy this again, and I already have. I went and bought another 3 cases just so I could have it on hand.
These are some of my do's:
Do: shop around. I won't mention grocery store names, but I found a huge price discrepancy even when two major grocery stores both had them "on sale", the price difference as large as $3.50.
Do: try this without having eaten anything if you want to experience the flavour to its fullest extent.
Do: try it if you want to as a mix for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. It works really well.
Do: try this on a hot day because you'll love it!
Do: Buy this if you are already a fan of club soda (like me).
Thank you ChickAdvisor and Canada Dry for this opportunity. It was a perfect fit for me. I discovered something that I will continue to enjoy.

We have been going non-scented for the majority of our washes, but my husband protested that his work clothes needed to smell "nice" and that our towels are a lot more inviting when they smell wonderful instead of, well... nothing. So, I really can't stand dryer sheets and wasn't initially keen on spending $6.99 on sale for the Downy Laundry Scent Booster even though the commercials have been playing for over a year about it. I'm not easily persuaded; however, in a moment of weakness, I bought the "fresh" scent laundry booster and brought it home. Wow, these work well. The beads dissolve quite quickly. I had wondered if it would leave any type of film on the clothing and towels and I have found from my experience it doesn't. My husband's work clothes smell great even if his clothes have been on the hanger for a few weeks. Downy claims "up to 12 weeks of freshness." I can't claim this as his clothes are washed more often then that and we don't have many extra towels that anxiously await guests at our home so I can't vouch for those claims. I am wondering if there are those out there than have found this anywhere less than $6.99 on sale? I feel it is still priced high at that price and I wonder if there are those out there who feel the same. The $6.99 price I found was at Shopper's Drug Mart. -

We had a regular Wii and wanted to upgrade. Here is a a review of our experience:
We are extremely happy that Wii games WILL work on the Wii U console. Some of the extra features (from using the game pad) that come with the Wii U games will not work with the Wii games. Nothing is added or changed by using a Wii game on a Wii U console. So - why the big deal then? Why buy a Wii U? The game experience is enhanced quite a bit on Wii U games such as Batman 3 and Lego City. The use of the game pad gives the user an extra experience. In Lego City the game gives you specific instructions from the game pad and you can "take pictures" of things in Lego City you like. This makes the user experience an individual one and that is pretty exciting. It takes the level of the gaming up quite a bit and the graphics are amazing in the Wii U games we have played. We saved our Shopper's Drug Mart Points and waited for a sale to maximize our $$ on this purchase. If I had to, I would definitely purchase again. It was worth it for us.

I like to buy a box at Costco which has 36 packages in a box. The individual bags are 100 calories each. I take a package to work as a snack and sometimes I put them on my salad at home.

Campbell's Mushroom Soup is a great tasting soup. It's not gourmet, so those who are complete foodies - please do not go on a rant. It's not about gourmet today, it's about the childhood comfort of Campbell's soup. Why did I give his such a low rating for quality & taste then? Why am NOT going to buy this any longer? It has MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE in it. I mean really Campbell's! Can't you do better than this? Putting poison in your food to get people to think it tastes great. I am sorry, but after finding this information out, I just can't buy Campbell's again and poison my family. I know the word "poison" is a strong word, but if you look at the research - MSG is just that. It's a poison and shouldn't be sold as a food additive. Campbell's can do better, they just choose not to. Boo :( -

I have oily eyelids. I've tried numerous primers with so-called promises. The best I have come up with is to just use a pressed/powder foundation (the one I use is from MAC) directly on my eyelids prior to putting on eyeshadow. This has served me pretty well since I have spent a lot of $$$ on other products that didn't work.
I wished I would have known about this years ago. This really DOES work. I will say this though, it doesn't take much. I made the mistake of thinking more was going to be better. No, more is NOT the answer. So I plead with those excessive product-people, put the brush down after a few strokes on the product. Just be calm and use it sparingly and it will serve you well. Lemon Aid to the RESCUE!!

I received this product free as part of the Chick Advisor Review club. I loved this lotion. I reviewed CeraVe's Day Cream with SPF 30 as well, so if you've already read that, please forgive me for some repetition. I mentioned in the other review that my skin has a tendency to freak out, mostly on my forehead. I had a breakout prior to using this product. I was going to wait until it was over before using this, but I decided to use it anyway to really test what it was going to do to my skin. CeraVe's PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion (night) didn't irritate my breakout nor did it make it worse.
The excellent thing with CeraVe's PM's lotion is it's rich feeling as it goes on your skin. It is not heavy. It does what it is supposed to do which is work on your skin and not sit on it. I've had expensive night creams sit exactly on my face like icing on a cake and it does nothing but sit there. CeraVe's night cream works. It gets inside your skin and just works. Am I going to claim it made me look 10 years younger? NO I am not. I don't want to be. I just want to be the most excellent version of me I can be. CeraVe's lotion helped me achieve an even skin tone and it feels realllllly good. I WILL continue to buy CeraVe's PM night lotion and tell others about it too.

I received this product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Club.
I am in my mid-30's with skin that likes to complain. I can tend to have an oily forehead which gives me the constant problem of skin that breaks out easily. It's always pretty easy to tell what product works and what product just sits on my skin and clogs up my pores. CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 (day) is an excellent product. It worked WITH my skin and didn't just sit ON it. I even had a breakout just before I started using this and this product did not make it worse. It didn't irritate it in the slightest. This product was great at evening out my skin tone and made it feel more resilient. It felt more luxurious. My only slight complaint is that I could smell the ingredient that had the SPF. It felt a bit more like putting on sunscreen than moisturizing lotion. In comparison, the CeraVe night cream did not feel this way.
I have tried various moisturizing lotions (Kiehls, Clarins, Shiseido, Clinique, Aveda, MAC, more I can't even think of right now). I will say that CeraVe impressed me with it's consistent results and the impressive way that it didn't freak out my break out.
I will continue to use this and recommend it. I would have given it 5 stars for quality if it didn't feel like putting on sunscreen.
