This is a very interesting experience. It is a restaurant located in Kitsilano area of Vancouver. You actually eat and experience the entire meal in the DARK. Not a candle or illuminating I-phones to be found. It is really pitch dark. You are served by people who are blind. Your server takes you and your guests to your table in the dark and right from there your experience starts. The chef has sight for those who wonder about that. You can even order a "surprise" meal (or portions of your meal can be a surprise like just ordering the dessert as a surpise or the entire thing. You have no idea what you are eating until it arrived. This is what I decided to order. I don't want to give away too many details and ruin the experience for someone else, but I will say the food portions were good, the chicken I had was done pretty well. The food if you are a foodie wasn't high-end, but more homey style food. This is really my only complaint is the cost of the meal was high for what the food was, but the experience was absolutely fun. I went with friends who made the experience so fun. We laughed at our ineptness to cut our meal (all of us when it came to the main course ate it with our hands). Our waiter was very good at helping us figure out where our wine glasses were and was great at getting us to feel adjusted to figuring out how to eat, etc). The waiter was always available, we only had to call his name and he was quick to come over. i give his service a 10 out of 10. When it came time to pay (we had two Groupons for four people), they charged us an extra $10 for using two Groupons and overcharged us on the entire meal. The manager had to come and sort the overcharge out and they did thank goodness but it took so much time for four people trying to pay for our meal it kind of dampened the end if it all somewhat. I still think it was a fun experience and I think it truly would be the ultimate "blind date" experience project for someone out there willing to brave that.
The experience is in the experience not as a food experience so keep that in mind if the bill is a bit of a shocker.
I give the owner applause for coming up with an idea to show the sighted public a bit of what a non-sighted person would have to face. The concept is very original and the idea fabulous. If they can either adjust their prices somewhat or bring up the quality of food then they would have this just right. I wanted to give the price three stars but it's not "average" so I had to choose the two star in the "not worth it", but really it would be 2 1/2 stars. When I selected the 2 1/2 stars still put it in the "average" category. Is worth it, but again not for the price of the food, but for the experience.

Ok so first I want to say that I bought my first bottle at the hair salon before finding it at WINNERS for half the price. Quite literally half the price!! So I bought another at Winners :) the product really works for me. I LOVE the smell of the product. My husband does too. I like how this product really is light (in the feel) when it's in your hair. It doesn't weight it down. I works by keeping my hair smoother and shinier (than if I hadn't used it). I like how it really seems to protect my hair yet make it feel like there is nothing in it.
I recommend this - ESPECIALLY if you get it at a great price!

I was able to review one of the cakes so we chose a Blizzard Cake for a celebration we were having. I ordered this cake on-line. We chose a mint Oreo Blizzard Cake. After ordering it on-line (choosing the date and time I wanted to pick it up was easy. The website itself was very easy to navigate), after ordering the cake we promptly received a verification e-mail which gave me great confidence my order didn't just go out until cyber space. The cake was ready when I needed to pick it up, it was very close to being exactly what was pictured on the Internet. I took a quick peek in the freezer to see what other cakes (and if the one I ordered was in there). The cake I had ordered was brought out from their freezer in the back so it seemed to me that the cake was made "fresh for my order". I have no way to verify this, but there were no other Blizzard cakes in the display case only the regular sheet cakes and circular ones. The ice cream was perfect. The argument always is what is the "favourite" part of a Dairy Queen cake? I would say the yummy fudge & cookie centre and the whip cream piping on top. It was perfection in a cake! It was sure good. I WOULD order this mint-Oreo cake again. I WOULD order the cake on-line again. It was so easy to order it that way and the result was perfect. Absolutely hassle-free.
It was really a wonderful experience.

I wrote a review about the shampoo before as well. The conditioner is just as good. It smells absolutely wonderful. It's summer in a bottle. I use it on my kids hair when they are swimming. It just works so well as its hydrating. My daughter's blonde hair is silky when she uses it. I use it too! Save this for winter time and it will bring you back thoughts of summer for sure! -

What I love about Aveda is what most people LOVE about Aveda is the scent. I love the scent of the shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner leaves the hair shiny and not weighed down. It is only when I use Aveda that my husband really comments on my hair and likes the smell too. It's just so soft and wonderful. I recently ran out of the shampoo and was using a different brand but the shampoo and conditioner combo with this can't be beat. It just wasn't the same without both of them. But certainly if you had to pick one - it's the conditioner hands down that I really love. No wait.... The shampoo. No... Ok - both! -

Nest Learning Thermostat is a great product. If I could give out awards for products this would get a gold crown! It is easy to use(which was the initial reason we wanted to ditch our old one). It looks awesome. It has bright, easy to see numbers which show up when you walk by the unit and the display turns off by itself a few seconds later. You can easily see what impact you are having on your bill because they e-mail you a graph of your usage and even compare you to other users (I've made it into the top 5% - YAY!). You can easily turn the dial up or down and when you turn it down, the display shows a friendly green leaf. Your system will get to know when you are away and start turning itself down. Do you have a bunch of shift workers? That's fine too. If you manually adjust it, it will get to know those patterns and won't freeze you out.
The feature I love the best is I can turn my temp up or down (set my Nest thermostat to "away" status) all with my i-Phone. How cool (pun intended) is that?! Even if you are on vacation, what other thermostat does this??? Nest is super sleek, super inventive and works superbly. I recommend it to absolutely everyone.

Orly Bonder has literally changed my life!! How so? Well ever since I can remember I could only wear nail plush for a couple of hours (even using a chip preventer, base coat, $17 nail polish and a topcoat). I would have to put on nail polish just hours before the event I went to and knew by the end of the evening it would be chipped. I started using Orly Bonder a few months ago and WOW what a difference. It's a rubberized base coat which looks great (not too thick or gloppy). The application is easy (nice brush on it) and its dry time isn't very long either. So my routine now is the chip preventer, Orly Bonder, nail polish then top coat. My manicure lasts for DAYS! My French manicure lasted a good 5 days. The regular nail polish lasted about the same. For me this is a true miracle. Nothing had worked before. Thanks Orly for making this awesome product! -

I elected to start using this after two weeks of a dripping nose in the mornings. I would machine gun sneeze everywhere. I would take allergy pills in the am and not get relief I wanted, not 100% and certainly not feeling better right away. Since I have been using Neilmed I can stop the swelling if my nasal passages quite quickly. It's like it must be removing the allergen from my sinuses. I use this in combination with my allergy pills, but now use way less allergy pills than ever before. It works. It was hard in the beginning initially to get over the fear of what this was going to feel like (I have both the tea pot style and regular bottle style of Neilmeds). Once I did, I found it was not bad at all. Just a different sensation, probably would take getting used to for some. This product does not make your sinuses sting which I was also concerned about. I am grateful to have gotten over my fear of trying this because it works so well. -

Oh boy, this should be something that is part of everybody's first aid kit. When blisters happen, they are often bad. Mine have been and it seems to happen yearly. I have to make this a part of my first aid checklist. I like the Elastoplast brand a lot because of the material. I covers without falling off. It does what it's supposed to do and stays put. Nothing worse than a bandage falling off a blister which I've had happen when you try to use many smaller bandages to bandage a larger area such as a blister on the back of the ankle. I have found that buying the right product for the job is often a lot cheaper. It can be on the more expensive side for the Elastoplast bandages, but you will find them worth every single penny - er... make that worth every single nickel since penny's are being phased out! -
