I don't know about you, but I can spot a glittery, stripper-esque bronzer from 40 paces. You know the type - orange, sparkly, only looks good if you're sliding down a pole, with the colorful rays of a disco ball shimmering on your face and chest. (Not that I've done this or even see this done...ok, I've seen it done. But only once.) Anyway, there's nothing natural about it. Paradoxically, it seemed that these "theatrical" bronzers were the only ones I could find...until I happened upon Cargo's matte bronzer. It's not orangey or glittery. It's an amazing shade that compliments most skin tones. I like to use it to create the look of cheekbones (Fatcheeks McGee over here!) and on the sides of my nose to make it appear thinner (Thanks, pops, for the schnoz!). It also works great on the chest to enhance cleavage (Expecting a self-deprecating complaint, weren't you? Not this time! I've got fabulous boobs.) Cargo is the first bronzer I've found that I can wear WITH blush and not INSTEAD OF blush, to create a natural beachy, yet "oh my goodness me!" flushed look. (Think Kate Middleton.) And the best part is that I can keep my face out of the sun, avoid wrinkles, and still look like I've got a tan. If you've been looking for the perfect bronzer, look no more. Cargo is it. -

I was a diehard Bare Minerals user for years. But one day I realized that A. I was using way too much concealer before application (because Bare Minerals coverage isn't that great), and B. It was wearing off by the end of the day and pretty much making my face a greasy mess. Basically, I had gym face, but without going to the gym. So I did some online review searches and found Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to receive top ratings everywhere it was mentioned. I knew it was going to be pricey (duh. Armani.), but I was willing to pay if it could perform. The lady at Saks was great. She chose my color and even gave me a mirror to go outside and look at myself in a natural light. My recently-developed broken capillaries and age spots were diminished! She applied it with a brush, which blends well, and saves you from using as much as you would with a porous sponge. The lady at the counter said I didn't necessarily need to spend the money on a powder to "seal it" and that any loose, translucent powder would do. So I continue to use my Bare Minerals Mineral Veil over the top. I really do love this product. I've been told how good my skin looks on more than one occasion since I began using it. Plus, the coverage is so good, I feel like I look 28. And not 32. ;) -
