I have the eyeshadow in Showy. I like the rich pigmentation of the bright blue colour, and how it goes smoothly on the eyelids. However, the dark navy blue is patchy and not as workable (powdery). I'd typically use the dark blue eyeshadow as an eyeliner. On the bottom of the product, there is another lid that opens up to a space where there's the applicator. If you are looking for a few bright colours for a cheaper price, then these eyeshadows do the job. However, I think if you are looking for more bright colours, it might be best to get some in a palette form (e.g. Sleek, bh cosmetics). -

I have the GOSH eyeshadow stick in plum. I am pleasantly surprised with how richly pigmented the product is, as well as how beautiful the colour is!! The formula is super creamy; it feels like a dream applying it on my eyes. It does smear a little, when I use it as eyeliner for the bottom of my eyes, but not a whole lot (I just pack some eyeshadow on top for extra staying power). I'm not sure how waterproof it is though. l love this eyeshadow stick, and would recommend it to anyone! -

This facial scrub features actual little walnut pieces that are supposed to be the "beads". They work okay, but are rough on the skin so it's best to use a light touch. It is also less of a creamy base. It's probably not best for those with very sensitive skin (however, you could use it as a body scrub). I like how the "beads" are natural, opposed to the plastic microbeads in some cleansers, because they end up in the oceans and cause choking of wildlife and plastic pollution. Plastics, when leached, created phthalates, and may harm the reproduction cycle and hormonal system of humans.
I like how salicylic acid is added to the product in order to help control blemishes. I didn't really see a difference in my face with using it, I just felt it was semi-exfoliated (as the scrubbing particle just scrub on the surface and not deep down), and my face had a nice light apricot scent to it.
Overall, it is a good value product that works okay.

I've been using this lotion for years, even when it used to come in a different bottle (I prefer the previous design, but oh well). I love the scent of vanilla, and this is no exception. This lotion has a lighter vanilla scent, so I think it would be okay for those who are a bit sensitive to stronger scents but would still like a light scent. It is indeed creamy, and absorbs in the skin well. It's not that long-lasting, in terms of the scent and moisture, but for the price it is really good value and a good product. It regularly retails for about $5 CAN for 600 mL. -

The Essence blush is a multi-coloured blush from one of their limited edition makeup collection lines, Beach Cruisers of summer 2014. It goes from a light pink-peach colour to a darker pink, and to a really dark pink-red. It is about the size of the palm of my hand. It retailed about $4 from Shoppers Drug Mart.
The blush goes on very well. It is very pigmented, and should be used with a light hand. I love how it is multi-coloured, because that makes for some different looks. It is a little flaky, but not a huge problem. There is also a hint of shimmer in the blush, but not too unbearable. The packaging is slim, and decently sturdy, and can be easily bought in a purse. The only thing I would change is to have a lighter pink, or more of it in the pan, as the blush is quite dark for fair and light skinned people.
Overall, it is a cute blush, and for good value as well.

This eyeshadow palette has 12 colours in it. It's a decent mix of cool and warm tones in the palette. There aren't really any true mattes in this palette, but the ones that appear to be matte have the slightest hint of shimmer in them, which doesn't show up that much.
The ones that appear to be matte with a tiny bit of shimmer:
- peach
- light taupe
- chocolate brown
- a darker brown
- soft black
Shimmer:
- frosty white
- light taupe (which is pretty much similar to the one more matte)
- a slightly darker taupe
- light pink/peach
- chocolate brown
Metallic:
- copper
- gold
Most of the colours are hard to pick up with a brush, like with the other Maybelline eyeshadows, as they're drier in formula. The easiest are the copper, gold, and the shimmer chocolate brown, and those are definitely the winning colours in this palette. The hardest colours to pick up are the light shimmers, like the frosty white, and light pink/peach. The black is not a true black, it's more soft, which is good because it's not so harsh on the lids. It could be built up. The eyeshadows can become a bit patchy and hard to blend though, so try and use a primer underneath and try to blend well. The pigmentation is okay, and really good with the copper. One thing I like is that there isn't that much fallout, and that's probably due to the fact that they are harder in formula.
I like using the more matte light taupe for filling in my brows. I think this is a decent palette to bring with you if you want touch ups, as the case is slim. It includes a dual ended sponge applicator as well.
Overall, it's an okay palette. I had fun experimenting with different looks with it. You don't have to run out and get it right away, and better to wait for a sale on it. This regularly retails about $10 to $14 CAN, depending on which store you're in. I would recommend this palette for a beginner, or if you need some kind of neutral palette right away and don't have a lot to spend on. Alternatively, you can check out bh cosmetics palettes for less expensive neutral eyeshadow palettes.
