I received the Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar free to test as part of ChickAdvisor’s Product Review Club. I really enjoyed using this soap. First off I noticed the fresh, clean scent of the soap. I loved how crisp and clean the scent was. The scent was not overpowering but perfect for a soap bar.
This soap lathered up nicely and was easy to use due to its ease of lathering. It required no effort compared to other products that do not lather up and require effort to produce suds. The soap felt very moisturizing on my skin as it was applied and rinsed clean with no residue left behind. After using the soap, the moisturizing effects of the soap continued. My skin did not feel tight or itchy like some soaps I've used have done. Nor was my skin oily from the moisturizing effects. I tend to have oily skin so I was pleased that this soap did not add any extra oiliness. It provided a perfect balance of moisturization. I was very pleased with this soap and it seemed superior to other brands of soap I have tried.
Overall, this soap is a great product that leaves your skin moisturized and refreshed. I would continue to use this soap and would recommend it to family/friends with no hesitation.

I received the Febreze Car vent clip to test in the linen & sky scent. The package directions were easy to understand and follow. When I clipped the air freshener to a vent slat, the unit was loose and wobbly. I found that sticking the unit in the open space between two vent slats keep the unit secure. I did have difficulty adjusting the intensity dial on the unit with just one hand. It was easier to use one hand to hold the unit and the other to change the dial.
I have a small car and I kept the dial on the highest scent position. With the car fan running on low I was able to smell a fresh scent that was not overpowering. The scent did waft to the backseat of my car as well. The scent was light and delicate. I did expect more of a powerful scent. It seems the higher the speed of the car fan, the more scent that is released. The product did not cover up highly odourous smells, only mild odour.
Overall, this air freshener is a novel idea and does release scent in a more controlled manner than other air fresheners I have tried. I am pleased with the noticeable, delicate scent it releases but find it only works at its best when the fan is running. I don't necessarily always have the car fan running and the scent is only faint under these circumstances. I would purchase this unit again as the price is reasonable and I liked the delicate scent this air freshener released.

Overall I am impressed with the close smooth shave I got from the Schick Hydro Silk razor.

I liked that this razor has 5 blades so that I could get every last hair. It is very sharp and I actually nicked myself. I liked that this razor had moisturizing serum built in. It eliminated the need for a shave gel. This would be the perfect razor to take while travelling! I loved how my legs felt after shaving. They were so soft, smooth and hydrated! I usually need to apply moisturizing lotion after shaving but I didn't feel the need to after using this razor. I was so pleased with the results :)
Areas for improvement:
I would have liked to have more moisturizing serum released while I was shaving as I felt the razor was tugging at times. I do wonder how many shaves the moisturizing serum will last for. Other than that, I have no complaints about this razor.
This is the perfect razor to achieve soft, smooth, hair-free legs. I would definitely recommend this razor to any woman to try. They will not be disappointed!

I have dry hair that requires extra attention to hydrate it and make it look soft and smooth. I was delighted to have the opportunity to try this product through the Review Club. My hair will get so dry at times that if I rub it between my fingers it will "crunch". I used this masque in combination with the corresponding shampoo. The masque is rich and creamy in texture and has a pleasant tropical scent. I would have preferred to have this masque treatment in a tube rather than a tub as it would have improved the ease of application.
This masque was to be applied after shampooing to towel-dried hair as per the instructions. However, I just squeezed as much water out of my hair as possible while in the shower and it worked well for me. The masque was easily absorbed into my damp hair. I was actually able to run my hand through my shoulder length hair with the masque on, it had great detangling abilities! I can't do that with most conditioners I use. My hair felt soft, lightweight and silky with the masque on. After a couple minutes I rinsed my hair. The masque rinsed out easily, leaving no residue behind. Compared to other deep conditioning products I have used, I prefer this product for the silky smooth feeling it leaves on my hair and its detangling ability. It is superior in these regards.
This product worked well in combination with the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Shampoo. My hair was left softer and smoother to the touch. My hair was also more hydrated and the dryness disappeared. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone needing intensive conditioning due to dry hair. It is pricey but a very good quality masque that yields excellent results.

I really enjoyed using this shampoo! It had a pleasant tropical scent. The consistency of the shampoo was perfect. Not too thick or too thin. It felt silky in texture. As soon as I applied the shampoo to my wet hair my hair felt instantly silkier. I loved how well the shampoo lathered. It lathered with minimal effort. I have tried other intensive repair products that do not lather well which I don't care for. I like a shampoo that lathers well and rinses out well leaving no residue which this shampoo did beautifully.
I used this product everyday in place of my regular shampoo and was pleased that this intensive repair shampoo did not leave my hair oily or greasy feeling like other similar brands I have tried. I was impressed that daily use was not a problem.
I have very dry hair to the point that if I rub it between my fingers it will "crunch". After using this shampoo and corresponding conditioner my hair was hydrated, soft and smooth to the touch. The dryness was gone. My hair looked healthier. I did notice that my hair seemed more voluminous and "poufy" at times which I didn't care for as I have frizzy hair to begin with. Overall however, I loved this shampoo and would continue to use it to combat the dryness in my hair. I love the results and would recommend this product to anyone needing a deep hydrating shampoo. It was a joy to use!

I tested the Febreze NOTICEables scented oil warmer in the Morning Walk & Cleansing Rain fragrance. I used this warmer in my bedroom. The instructions for use were easy to understand and follow. I liked the plug feature in that it will rotate to accommodate various outlets.
The unit alternates between the two scents about every 30 minutes or so. There is a green light on top of the unit to indicate which fragrance is being released.
The two scents complemented each other. I would describe the scents as fresh, clean and airy. They are pleasant and non-irritating. I did find it difficult to distinguish one scent from the other. The only way I knew which scent was being released was by which side the green light was on.
I liked that I could control the intensity of the fragrance by the switch at the back of the unit. There are two settings-low and high. On the high setting the fragrance was not overpowering. I did have difficulty getting my fingers behind the unit while it was plugged in to change the intensity setting. It would be easier if these controls were on the front of the unit.
I found the unit to be rather big and bulky. Even though the unit only took up one outlet, I could not always use the second outlet for something else-it depended on the size and shape of the plug I wanted to insert in the second outlet.
In terms of odor elimination it worked well. I could smell the warmer at work every time I walked into my bedroom. It was like a breath of fresh air! The warmer heats up quickly to release its scent and I did notice that the unit was warm to the touch when it was left plugged in continuously. It did not get as warm as other similar products I have tried that are almost hot to the touch. I felt safer and more comfortable about using the Febreze product.
Overall, I would recommend this product to others for its ease of use and pleasant and long lasting fragrance. (The packaging indicates that the warmer will emit fragrance for more than 30 days!).

The unit alternates between the lavender and vanilla scent. There is a green light on top of the unit to indicate which fragrance is being released. The light also served as a bit of a night light when I used it in my bathroom.

I LOVE this mascara! It gave my lashes instant volume and length. I look for mascaras that provide thick, full, voluminous lashes and this product certainly met my expectations. I love how full my lashes looked with only one sweep of the wand.
The mascara brush is termed a “spoon brush” which means that it is curved. This allowed the mascara to be easily applied to all lashes including the hard to reach lashes. The wand is flexible and although my personal preference is to have a stiff brush, I was able to easily apply the mascara without difficulty. I did notice that the mascara was slightly clumpy but no more so than any other mascara I have tried. I still found the mascara effective despite the slight clumpiness.
The mascara lasted all day and looked just as good at the end of the day as it did in the beginning. I experienced no flaking of the product throughout the day. The mascara is washable and I could easily remove it with soap and water. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to others and I would purchase it in the future. In fact, it has quickly become my new favorite mascara.

I tested the Marcelle New-Age Anti-Wrinkle foundation for 1 week.. The colour I selected was ivory (I usually wear Cover Girl foundation in ivory). The colour was a good match for my skin tone; my sister actually commented on how well it matched my skin. The product was easy to dispense from the pump bottle, was light in texture and absorbed quickly into the skin making application very easy.
The first day I used it I did notice some irritation over some blemishes that I had applied benzoyl peroxide to prior to applying the foundation. It was a burning sensation that lasted for maybe 30mins. and then disappeared. I have never had this sensation using another foundation. I stopped using the benzoyl peroxide prior to applying the foundation and noticed no further problems with a burning sensation so I attribute the irritation to some reaction between the benzoyl peroxide and some ingredient in the foundation. Other than this issue which was easily solved, I really liked this foundation.
In the days I used it I noticed that the rough texture to my skin was gone and my skin felt soft and smooth almost as if I had used an exfoliating product. I was very impressed with this aspect of the product. The foundation provided light to medium coverage and did not cover all of my blemishes and acne scars to the degree I would have liked. The product did even out my overall skin tone. I have oily skin and this product did not increase the oiliness of my skin and it did not cause further blemishes.
As for the anti-aging aspect of the product it is difficult to determine this quality of the product as I used it for such a short time. Overall, I was impressed and pleased with this product and would continue to use it especially for the feeling of smoothness and softness it left on my face.

I purchased a sample of this product and am generally pleased with it. It has a soft silky-like texture, goes on creamy and does hide minor imperfections and lightens under eye circles. I do have scarring from acne on my face and would like more coverage than this product offers. It does lighten up the under eye area quite nicely. I purchasd this concealer in the lightest shade available as I have fair skin but found this shade to be too light. I have found that with Paula's Choice products such as concealers and foundations that I have to get a shade darker than I might usually get to match my skin tone. Overall, a very good product. -
