The McDonald's Triple Thick Milkshake, or just plain old milkshake as anyone will say when ordering it, is really good. It's not too thick as to not be able to suck through a straw (I've found that to be the case for Harvey's milkshakes, where you have to wait a bit for it to melt before you can get some good suckage going). And the vanilla flavour in particular is very tasty. It's the perfect mixture, seriously. The chocolate flavour, however, I find that I don't care for. For some reason it comes off as too chocolatey to me. But I highly recommend trying out the vanilla flavour milkshake, I don't think you'll regret it. It's in no way on par with Dairy Queen's, but if you're ordering a quick meal from McDonald's and want a snack, the vanilla milkshake is the way to go. Or go for chocolate if you feel like something extra chocolatey. -

I have to say I was put off for quite a while from trying the other McFlurry flavours after trying out their KitKat Mcflurry when I was a preteen and I found that I absolutely hated the taste and I honestly couldn't finish it. Which is very rare for me. I love ice cream, and I love KitKat, but for some reason those flavours just did not mix right in the McFlurry.
From the looks of it, they no longer offer the KitKat, just the Rolo and the Oreo flavours. I can't speak for the Rolo flavour as I detest the taste of that candy, but I can say the Oreo Mcflurry is really, really good. It has the perfect amount of Oreos and the vanilla soft serve is very yummy. If you like vanilla soft serve and you like Oreos, I highly recommend trying the Oreo McFlurry.

I love McDonald's apple pies! They are so good, and warm and moist and yummy. I only wish they were a little bit bigger and that they would put some cinnamon on them like other fast food places. That being said though, if I feel like dessert when I'm at McDonald's, this is the first thing I'll purchase. You just can't beat the price for this yummy little pie. -

The McDonald's Sausage Mcmuffin with Egg takes your beloved sausage patty and pairs it with two yummy english muffins and a perfectly formed round 'scrambled' egg. I think this sandwich would taste even better, but be a little messy of course, if they used the same kind of egg that they do in the McDonald's Big Breakfast. I find I prefer the texture of that scrambled egg over this more hard packed form. That being said though, I do really enjoy the McDonald's Sausage Mcmuffin with Egg and it does fill me up for longer than just ordering the sandwich with sausage only. That little bit of extra protein really helps get you through the day. -

Love this little sandwich. -

It's probably weird to review a fountain drink, but I do find that the McDonald's Coca Cola fountain drink is actually pretty good. I don't recommend putting ice in it though, as I've found that they don't seem to clean out that part of the machine and the ice is usually dirty water. But as to the fountain drink itself, they have to have the best track record for me when it comes to getting the mixture of syrup to water just right. Sometimes they fudge it up, but most of the time the mixture is good and it actually tastes like Coke. -

I love the McDonald's Big Breakfast. The sausage patty is most defintely my favourite part. I would love to find their supplier and order huge cases of these sausage patties, they are so so so good! The scrambled eggs are also pretty good, and I'm not much of an egg lover. Sometimes they do get them wrong, however, and they are a bit overdone or sometimes I've even had them be a little wet, which was weird. I always like the english muffins, they taste pretty much exactly like the regular english muffins you can get at the grocery store. The hashbrowns (which at one location I always had a problem with and kept having to go back to the window and ask for them because they *always* forgot to include the hashbrowns, even when my dad and I would remind the staff to include them) are pretty good, the perfect amount of crispiness and soft yummy potato inside.
My only complaint is that the McDonald's Big Breakfast isn't big enough. I wish they would include two sausage patties (because they are so friggn' good!) and a little more egg. But I will still continue to buy this in the future, I just sometimes ask for two as there are times when one Big Breakfast just doesn't cut it.

I recently gave McDonald's chicken sandwiches another shot after the huge disappointment that was the McChicken.
The McBistro Crispy Chicken BLT is actually pretty good. It's a good portion of chicken and the crispy chicken is actually a little bit crispy. The biggest drawback though is how they advertise "crispy" lettuce, and I've tried this sandwich two times and both times the lettuce has been wilted and not in the least bit crispy. The tomatoes are also not fresh looking, but I can't comment on the taste of them as I always pick them off as I don't like tomatoes. My other complaint is how the sandwich and the box itself pictures two pieces of bacon. You only get one tiny piece of bacon that is barely enough to go end to end on the chicken, and sometimes they cut one piece into two to take up more space.
I do find that, unlike the mcnuggets, the McDonald's McBistro Chicken BLT actually fills me up when combined with a drink and fries.
So, despite the wilted lettuce and very skimpy bacon, I do like this sandwich. And I find it a better, and more filling option than the mcnuggets which was the only thing I used to eat on the menu since I was a kid.

But I find McDonald's fries to be the perfect amount of slight resistance when you first bite into it and then the perfect amount of softness and potato goodness. -

Mcnuggets were literally the only thing I would eat on the menu (aside from the fries and desserts) for years and years (since I was a kid and they used to actually have McDonald's days back then in school). Then I tried the McBistro and now I feel like I finally have choices.
I've always liked the mcnuggets. I used to eat them plain and eat the skin off first and then the meat by itself. I always found the meat to be so juicy and just so yummy. Sometimes though, I did have problems with the idiot staff overcooking them and then the meat would become rubbery, which really sucked. The sauce options are Honey, BBQ, Sweet & Sour or Hot Mustard. The honey isn't too bad, gives it that something sweet. But I prefer having the BBQ. And I honestly don't use BBQ on anything else, I hate the taste. But for some reason it works with the mcnuggets.
My biggest complaint though with mcnuggets is that I never really feel full for long afterward. They do taste good going down though and fill me for about an hour or so. I do find that the price has gone up for these and I find it absolutely ridiculous how they're more expensive than the burgers. Considering what small portions they are.
So, in the end, I do recommend the mcnuggets if you're looking for a quick meal to tide you over for a while. Just don't count on them keeping you full from the time you have lunch to the time you finally have dinner.
