L'oreal Quick Blue lightener
Amazingly easy to use and effectively lightens my dark brown hair to near white (when mixed with 40 Volume developer crème and processed 40 minutes). I purchase the large tub at Sally Beauty and that lasts me a year.

After years of buying my bleach and hair colouring products from Sally Beauty I decided to take a risk and picked up a box of the L'Oreal Smokey Blue at the grocery store. Going by the box shade I figured I get a nice *light* blue shade. Oh boy was I wrong.
I naturally have dark brown hair that I bleach strips of to near white with no problem. Just applying this product I had bad nose and eye irritation from the strong fumes. Following the direction of 20 minute process time, my poor scalp got burned and I ended up with Vivid Smurf Blue hair instead of a nice pastel shade! Horrid experience that taught me (again) to stay away from boxed drugstore color.
Luckily I know how to quickly strip the colour out so I could actually leave my house. Now I just have to grown out the slight damage to my hair texture.

They have a larger amount of plump cotton fiber on the tip than other 'cheap' brands so you are not going to poke through to the plastic stick. -

I cant believe I didn't think to review this product long ago! It has been my go to hair product for a few years now.
I have really long, wavy, slightly dry hair that frizzes up after shampooing. I've tried oils that tend to just weigh my hair down but this creamy serum does the trick. After I towel dry I separate my hair in 2 sections (like making ponytails) apply one full pump to the bottom half of each side and run my finger through the whole section. Air dry and voila - soft and smooth for 2 days without a greasy feel or look.
Its conveniently available at my local grocery store and regularly goes on sale for $2.99 so you cant go wrong!

I received the All-in-1 solution suitable for Sensitive Skin and was honestly amazed how well it worked. I bet the Waterproof makeup version is even more effective. I didn't have much faith it would work, as the only other micellar water brand I tried was as useless as plain water.
Just using a disposable cotton pad I was able to remove my eye makeup almost as easily as with a bi-phase makeup remover. But no stinging or greasy eyeballs afterward! I did use 2 soaked pads to be sure I had thoroughly removed all my face makeup as I'm used to usually using a regular cream or oil makeup remover.
The 'Avoid Contact with Eyes' warning seems ridiculous for an eye makeup remover and my one other issue was it did leave a bit of a slick feel to my face - residue? I tried leaving it and applying my moisturizer but found the combo didn't let my skin fully absorb the product. Giving my face a quick wipe with a damp washcloth before moisturizing did the trick!
The no water needed to cleanse ability would make this a good item to have when camping/traveling! The large bottle and great low price can't be beat. I would buy this again - going to try the Waterproof makeup version next!

I like that this lotion has very light, pleasant, fresh scent that doesn't linger. Be careful when dispensing because much less than a single pump is needed to get about a pea sized amount. A full pump is too much for my face, neck and décolletage.
It's definetly not a miracle cream nor did it make my skin less fatigued but the Dimethicone ingredient does give a smooth appearance to the skin. Not at all shiny or greasy feeling and/or looking like some other moisturizers I've used.
I've only been using it once a day in the morning and that has been great for my all day moisturizing needs. I do love that it doesnt have an SP factor. Im not outside everyday so I hate overdoing SPF chemical overload in various layers of products.
I think the regular retail price is a bit steep. I see that Walmart is currently offering it at their everyday low price of $21 but I would rather buy an anti-aging prodcut for that price. If the price drops - it would be okay for a good basic everyday product.

They are my family's staple stocking stuffer. While many prefer the milk version I insist on the Dark Orange. They can be found everywhere from Walmart to grocery and drugstores and the price ranges fro $3 to $6 a piece - so watch for sales!

I found the lemon club soda at my local store for a pricey (!) $6.49 so, If not for the coupon, I wouldn't pay that much for the product. If you can get it cheaper then yes - pick some up!
I'm a huge plain club soda fan so it was a refreshing change to have the hit of tart lemon lime this time. Great amount of carbonation and nice on its own or used as a mixer. My 12 year old son even likes it!

Received a sample in the mail from Nivea with a $4 off coupon to purchase. Was so intrigued I went out and bought the full size - average price around $15 for a 40ml pump bottle.
True that the novelty of the squishy, egg yolk consistency 'pearls' grabbed me at first, I also really liked the light fresh scent. 2 pumps is adequate coverage for my face, 2 more if I do my neck down to décolletage. Takes a bit of time to spread over skin to ensure you have any yellow bits left but absorbs quickly and immediately gives a smooth, blurred look to the skin - what you expect from Dimethicone products. I have dry sensitive, mature skin and so far so good for no negative reactions. My skin looks and feels great without adding any other products on top.

I followed the directions of adding the measured powder to the machine before my clothes, testing 2 different loads. One being a white clothing and the other being towels. I did not pre-treat or soak at all and I used OxiClean liquid laundry detergent.
Both loads came out basically unchanged except for a strange strong fragrance that lasted days afterward. I honestly didn't see any benefit of the powder - no miraculously whiten socks or such.
Maybe when I have a change to soak items for awhile before washing I may change my opinion.
