After reading the above comments I felt I had to offer my experience to others. I was a customer at another salon for many years and during that time I had different colour tech. and stylists and was thrilled with the majority. I am very easy to deal with and am open to all suggestions. I love to try new styles and colours. Unfortunately the salon I was going to closed and I had to find a new place. I shop at Square One and kept passing by Donalto Salon and Spa and finally gave it a try. I booked my appointment to have my roots touched up and some hightlights added (no cut was needed) and when asked who I would like as a colourist I told them to surprise me. Well they sure did--I was told I was getting the best--NIcola. I was impressed when I went in by the friendly staff. I was taken on time and was treated extremely well..... UNTIL I met Nicola. She came in and asked me what I wanted to have done. I explained a root touch up and some hightlights. As she was applying the colour she started to complain that she was overbooked and I should not have squeezed in. I explained that I did not specify who was to colour my hair and she was the one the receptionist recommended. Upon hearing that I did not request her she became sarcastic and rude. I was sitting there with colour on my hair and could not go anywhere. She proceeded to tell me that she has a large clientele and does not take care of walk-ins unless they request her. To make the situation better I explained that maybe I would become a regular. She rolled her eyes and I kept quiet after that. I asked her to not wrap any highlights since I changed my mind. After my hair was washed I told the shampoo person that I just wanted to sit under the dryer and would leave without a style! When I saw my hair in the mirror, at home, I was shocked at the difference between my newly coloured roots and the ends (even thought she did bring the colour to the ends for a few minutes). There is an obvious divide. I was going to complain but if I did they would want me to come back to fix it and dealing with Nicole again was just not worth it. -
