I had the opportunity to try Vaseline Intensive Care Almond Smooth Body Lotion for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I am a fan and regular user of Vaseline products so was excited to try this product out. This body lotion is a combination of Vaseline jelly, pure almond oil and vitamin E. Due to the harsh winter weather I tend to find my skin drier in the winter months. The Almond Smooth body lotion has helped a lot in keeping my skin moisturized, nourished and smooth feeling especially after a hot shower. The product I received came in a 600ML recyclable bottle. I found a little of the product went a long way. The almond oil smell was so wonderful! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a wonderfully fragrant body lotion that is highly effective at moisturizing skin. #freeproduct -

I had the opportunity to sample Lancome’s Lash Idole mascara for free. Mascara is a must have in my every day beauty routine so I was excited to try this product out. I usually use drugstore mascara’s and this is one of the first luxury mascara’s that I have used. Firstly the packaging is very appealing. It is black and metallic pink and looks very luxurious. When you open the mascara you will notice a unique brush and bristles. It has an elastomer brush with micro bristles that is supposed to not cause clumping. This is actually one of the first things I noticed when I applied the mascara, usually if I try to apply a second coat I notice a lot of clumping but with this mascara I did not notice any clumping at all. I found the brush was also excellent and coating each individual lash very well lifting my lashes and creating an eye opening effect. The mascara also claims up to 24 hour wear. I applied it at the beginning of the day and even after rinsing my face I didn’t notice too much smearing and the mascara was still applied. A definite recommend for someone looking for an effective and longwearing mascara. -

I had the opportunity to test out the neutrogena all-in-one make up removing cleansing wipes as part of the product review club in exchange for my honest opinion about the product. I think it's an innovative idea to have individually wrapped wipes so you can keep a few in your purse, at the office, school etc. Is there any other brand that offers individually wrapped wipes, not that I can think of? The packages are very small, probably about the size of your hand, so take up very little space. I also find very often that makeup wipes in a pack can dry out since you open and reopen the pack so many times. So, to me it's a great idea to have individually wrapped wipes to keep them moist and usable in the long run. In terms of the efficiency of the product I found it removed most of my makeup including waterproof mascara however I would still clean/rinse my face afterwards with a cleanser or micellar water (just my personal preference, nothing to do with the products effectiveness). The wipes are wonderfully efficient and easy to use. They have a nice, light, clean scent and very soft texture that does not irritate the skin. I look forward to purchasing more of these wipes soon! -

I had the opportunity to try the neutrogena ultra sheer face mist sunscreen as part of the product review club in exchange for my honest opinion. Currently I use the neutrogena hydroboost gel sunscreen which i am a big fan of. I like the idea of a mist sunscreen as I find sometimes cream sunscreens are too oily and leave my face looking shiny. The sunscreen comes in a 100ml spray bottle and is SPF 50. The bottle is compact and can easily fit in a purse, gym bag, beach tote, etch without taking up too much space. To apply you have to spray the mist onto your hands and then apply to your face. For obvious safety reasons it makes sense not to spray it directly onto your face as it could get into your mouth eyes, nose etc. I didn't find the smell too strong but I did find that the product felt "ultra sheer" lightweight and invisible. Sometimes with the cream sunscreens you get a bit of whitecast which I didn't find was the case with the mist. I would recommend this to anyone who is used to or prefers mist sunscreens or looking for something more lightweight. -

I had the opportunity to try the degree deodorant 0% aluminum. I am a user of aluminum free and natural deodorants so was excited to have the chance to try this for free. The deodorant is 74g which is the bigger version and will last quite a while. The packaging was grey which i thought was a little dark and not very attractive. The revitalizing botanicals scent smells like menthol. I found it had a minty scent, it wasn't my favourite but it was tolerable and not too strong. The deodorant itself is a translucent white and goes on very smoothly. I wore it just around the house or doing errands and I found it kept me dry, which fits the 48 hour ordour protection claim on the packaging. I really like that it's not only aluminum free but alcohol free as well. I would recommend this to anyone who currently uses degree and was thinking about trying an aluminum free deodorant. -

I had the opportunity to try the degree 0% alcohol and aluminum deodorant in the uplifting citrus scent. I was excited to try this out because i gravitate to more fruity scents but although i could smell citrus it wasn't too my taste. Again the scent isn't that strong so it is tolerable, but my feedback to degree would be to look into more traditional scents. The combinations of scents although they sound great didn't really work for me. Also I didn't find the packaging that attractive but again it's about the product so that's not a huge deal. The deodorant is 0% aluminum and alcohol and is supposed to offer 48 hour odor protection. I'm not sure if it offers 48 hour protection since I take a shower daily and reapply my deodorant but i found that it lasted throughout the day. The deodorant goes on very smoothly and is easy to apply. I recommend this to anyone looking for an aluminum free deodorant that offers good protection for a daily deodorant, but probably not for a hard workout. -

Firstly the packaging stands out, it is white and very clean looking and is a perfect match for the products message. When you actually see the laundry pod it is clear/white which matches the packaging. The "Free" in the product name most likely ties to the fact that the product is free of perfumes, dyes and phosphates. This is an excellent product for anyone with sensitivities from scent sensitivities to skin sensitivities. It is accepted and recognized by the national eczema association and the national psoriasis foundation. Taking a sniff of the laundry pod you will notice virtually no smell. As someone who has family members with scent sensitivities and suffer from eczema i am glad there are products like this being introduced by widely known brands that are easily accessible. Using the pods are easy and not any different from other laundry pods. I found them effective leaving my clothes clean but without any strong scents. If you are equating cleanliness with a scent for your laundry this product would not be recommended. Also stated on the packaging is that the pods dissolve in all temperatures including cold. I was particularly excited by this piece as I like to wash a lot of my clothes in cold water so it was good to know that this was compatible with a cold wash. Finally the packaging also states the formula is made with 100% renewable wind and power electricity! I am always happy to hear when large corporations are trying new methods to be more environmentally keen. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone and will be looking for it the next time I purchase any laundry detergent. -

I had the opportunity to try the Canada Dry Premium Ginger Ale as a member of the product review club. We received a full value coupon for the product. It comes in a case of 4 bottles. The packaging is very appealing with clean lines and colours of green and gold/yellow. The clear bottles also go well with the premium or high end image that is trying to be conveyed. Each bottle is 237 ML and is 90 calories. The product is made with cane sugar, ginger and natural flavours which makes it a little different then the regular canada dry ginger ale (soda pop version). I found that the taste was comparable if not identical to the pop version that I am used to. It is refreshing and has a hint of sweetness. If you are a fan of ginger ale you will enjoy this drink. The only factor I didn;t like was the price. For the price of four bottles you could get a larger case of soda. You are really paying for the ingredients and packaging. -

I had a coupon for a free pop tarts pastry product. I have an allergy to gelatin so was pleasantly surprised when this product did not contain that ingredient. I am also watching what I eat so these are a nice snack or treat with each package being 110 calories. The product is very similar to the Kelloggs special k pastry crisps (except this has more icing). It's a light cookie or cracker with strawberry filling and icing on the top. I found the taste very sweet and it could have probably done with less icing on top. -

I received one eyeliner shade name onyx (would consider this black) and one shade name mulberry (would consider this purple). I normally wear black eyeliner daily. The eyeliner comes in a pencil/stick with a replaceable cap. You can twist it to raise the product up (noted as retractable) and I found that easy to do and effective. It seemed like a good quality product that I think is worth the price. It was very easy to apply and went on smoothly without smudging. I found the onyx colour came out very well. The mulberry colour I was interested in since I don't normally wear any other colours when it comes to eyeliner except sometimes brown. However I found the pigment wasn't very strong and it didn't apply as well as the black/onyx (it was harder to see). The mulberry did look better in the waterline but not as an eyeliner in my opinion as the colour didn't come out very strong. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced eyeliner. -
