They have a 'small' size perfect for 8 months while they have small hands and are still learning hand-mouth coordination, and a 'large' size which is still relatively small, for suitable for 18 months which have more of a 'normal' round cookie shape. They come in yummy flavours (I should know, I had many shoved in my mouth!), and they tend to 'melt' when wet so there is less of a choking hazard. -

So add to the savings the cost of having to do laundry everyday as opposed to once a week, and it's not so great. -
