Let's be honest here. Most of us having been overindulging on sweets and goodies for weeks over the holidays. How can you not?! It's literally everywhere. So we implement the new years resolution diet and its going well. But! You have to have a cheat day and let me tell you, sinking your teeth into a soft, richly chocolate, Hostess King Don Cake, is literally THE best way to fulfill those cravings you get when you're munching on a piece of celery. They have always been a favourite snack of mine. You seriously cannot beat the mix of chocolate cake, chocolate coating and oh so smooth and creamy, delicious filling. For chocolate lovers especially, you just can't go wrong. Not only do I plan on buying more, I plan on accumulating a large stash, from which I will hide individual packages of them in places like my makeup drawer in the bathroom for when I can sneak away from the child and husband and eat them secretly so I don't have to share. Don't judge me. Just believe me when I say that these are awesome and you all should buy a stash to hoard...
FYI...these were received free through Family Rated for review. This product is delicious, loved buy the whole family and are comparable in cost to similar products.

So I can't express how excited I was to try this menthol vapourizing rub (I think that says a lot about me, that I was that excited over a vapour rub!). It actually came at the perfect time in my household. Not only was it the beginning of a nasty cold that swept through the whole family, I also had the benefit of being able to test it on a range of body aches that accompanied a new, grueling, workout routine. And boy, it did not disappoint!
My first positive note was that its scent is strong enough to be effective, as in it really hits the nose hard to break up all the congestion to finally let you breath. Yet it is also not so overpowering that it makes your eyes water. I also have a soft spot for this type of smell. Something about it reminds me of my childhood and I really love that.
Secondly, the companies claim that it is a no mess product is actually a pretty honest one, which I was pretty doubtful of when I first read the packaging. When you are used to the greasy vapour rubs that are on the market, you expect the sticky, yucky mess that comes with them. Which I absolutely detest and it makes me love this product that much more. Especially as a side/stomach sleeper; when putting this product on my chest and neck, I had much less transfer to my bedding then I would normally have with my other vapour rubs. I also am stoked that it is a roll on. No more greasy hands! How awesome is that??
Regarding this rubs effectiveness when it comes to muscle pain, I am somewhat on the fence about it. I think there is something about menthol that confuses the nerves and distracts you from the pain. That being said, it does this pretty well. I rolled it all over my calves just to test it out and I did feel a measure of relief. The only negative I can say to this is that it didn't really last very long and I ended up reapplying it about 20 minutes later. Which, considering how easy and mess free the process is, I didn't really find that a big deal.
All and all, I think this is a fantastic product and I'm super grateful that I #gotitfree from Family Rate and I will definitely be purchasing it again for myself and my family.

I am always on the hunt for a really good face wash. I have the worst combination skin. My T zone is ridiculously oily and everywhere else is generally dry as a bone. For the longest time I've been forced to use multiple products just to have clean, clear skin without irritation. That is, until I found this face wash by Skyn! I am absolutely in love with this product. I got it as a trial size in an Ipsy bag and I already had a full sized bottled order 2 days after opening it. It literally leaves your skin squeeky clean. I often would clean or cleanse my face before and areas like around my nose would still feel kinda oily, or it would go that way within an hour or two afterwards. With Skyn, it stays dry and oil free ALL DAY LONG. And the best part! It did not dry out the rest of my face! It was perfect for my combination skin. I have seriously never felt my face so clean before. And the white willow bark has this calming property to it. Redness and irritation from pimples or dryness immediately felt so much better. Another perk is that you need so very little to do your entire face and neck. Honestly, just like a pea sized drop and you are good to go! I will buy this product again and again and I recommend it to everyone I know. -

Was so excited to try this for free from Chick Advisor! Had a little mix up with the mail but finally got the product and got 2 weeks of use in. First of all, the smell of this hair spray is amazing! Usually you get this alcohol smell with regular hair sprays but this one has such a pleasant, light floral smell. It reminded me of one of my favourite shampoos, so that was a big bonus. No one wants their hair to smell like its full of product. Secondly, the actual effectiveness is bang on for what I am looking for. I used it with a range of hair dos but my favourite was when I did beachy waves. Oftentimes, I don't really want to use spray with this look because that my hair gets hard and has no movement. With this product, my hair was still nice and soft, had tonnes of movement and bounce and the best part was that it lasted all day long. I am seriously in love with this product, I will certainly buy it when this can runs out and I have already recommended it to a bunch of people! -

These bars are!! Its hard to believe that these things are actually good for you! I #gotitfree from Chick Advisor and I was super impressed. The salted caramel with the dark chocolate is a perfect combination. I gave one to my husband to try and he really enjoyed eating it with yogurt, kind of like a granola. When I first saw the bar, I questioned whether or not I was going to tolerate the texture of the plant protein but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Mixed with the caramel, it was chewy and sweet and oh so yummy. The best part is that it tasted this good and still had a whopping 10 grams of protein in it. Simply fantastic! -

I was so stoked to have the opportunity to try this product (#gotitfree) from Chick Advisor. My household is huge on protein bars. My husband and I go through boxes and boxes of them every month. Neither of us like to eat big meals throughout the day, especially when we are on the go, so something that in convenient, portable and tastes great is always a favourite. This bar hit each one of those points. We loved how chewy these bars were. Not like some where you end up almost breaking your teeth on the first bite. We were also surprised at just how tasty they were. The almond flavour really came through and blended so well with the chocolate and sea salt. Honestly, it is the perfect combination. Next shopping trip, we are grabbing more! -

So we got to #tryitfree and I must say, my husband absolutely loved it! Firstly, it smelled amazing, especially when you are used to regular antidandruff shampoo smells. Secondly, it actually worked! My husband regularly suffers from super dry scalp and the first time he tried this product, he was amazed at its quality. It also lathered really nicely, so nice in fact, he chose to use it on other parts of his body, like his chest hair! He was already a huge fan of the Dove mens line and this just made him fall more in love with it. We will definitely be buying this product again! -

I got to try this product for free through family rated and, while I love most apple sauces, this one wasn't really for my family and I. My son only tried one taste and said he didn't like it so I was taking them with me to work. I like that they are a convenient snack and I really like that they have the added fibre but I find this flavour has an odd after taste and it makes it less enjoyable for me to eat them. I did find a great use for the remainder though and that was to put them in smoothies. I probably would not purchase this product again though -

So I got the try this product for free and it was by far one of the tastiest apple sauces I have every purchased. My son tried one and wasn't a huge fan but he mostly prefers the plain ones. So I began taking this in my lunch for work and they were perfect for a snack on my first break. I love the kick of flavour that you get from the raspberries, I found it super tasty but not overly sweet. I find they are a good size snack for both adults and children and its something easy and quick when you are in a hurry. The added fibre is a huge bonus as well. This is something I will definitely be buying again for my household, I am super impressed. -

So I got to #tryitfree from Chick Advisor and I was so excited because I love doing at home Pedi's but find I have to do them so frequently because the paint wears and chips so quickly. Nocturne it up was the colour that I received which is awesome because I love sparkle! The colour itself was really nice, a rich deep black. Really the only critical thing I have to say about it is that some of the sparkles are kind of odd. The large flakes, when they settle around the nail edge, kind of make it look like a chip in the paint. I just tried to move them down and it looked ok. Overall though, it is really just a very pretty colour. Now, it does cost a little more than I normally pay for nail products but completely worth it when you think about how little to have to redo your nails. I would buy it again for sure -
