I had the opportunity to try a new line of ice cream by Chapman's, the Chapman's Super Premium Plus ice cream. I was able to try the Cookie Jar flavor. This is a play on a cookie dough ice cream. This ice cream is brown butter flavour and includes oatmeal cookie crumble, chocolate cookie chunks and cookie dough pieces. I like that it is a bit unique and different than a traditional cookie dough ice cream that other brands offer. The ice cream tastes like graham crackers or shortbread cookies and is really addictive! Something of note is that this ice cream is peanut, nut and egg free so it can truly be enjoyed by people with dietary or allergy restrictions. I would recommend this ice cream to anyone looking for an indulgent summer treat! #TryChapmansCanada -

I had the opportunity to try Garnier Whole Blends Magnetic Charcoal Purifying Shampoo for free thanks to Chickadvisor and Butterly. This shampoo is great for a deep clean and after my first use immediately my hair was left feeling fresh and revitalized. This shampoo contains charcoal which is known for its ability to absorb impurities and pollutants from the scalp and hair. It also helps to control oiliness and keeps the hair looking and feeling clean for longer. I only like to wash my hair a few times a week so this shampoo was suitable for me. I notice usually after one day my hair tends to get oily but I was able to go a few days longer between washes while using this shampoo. Finally the shampoo has a nice scent as well which is an added perk. -

This conditioner specializes in purifying and nourishing your hair and scalp. This conditioner contains a blend of natural ingredients, including charcoal, which helps to detoxify and remove impurities from the scalp. It also contains alone vera and coconut oil, which help to provide hydration and nourishment to the hair. I really like this product line because I feel like a lot of hair products and general pollution create a lot of buildup in my scalp and after using this product I truly felt "clean". I also like that that this conditioner doesn't weigh down my hair or leave any residue. Finally it has a pleasant scent which is something I look for in all my bath products. -

I had an opportunity to try a sample of Shu Uemura's ultime8 sublime beauty cleansing oil. This is a cleansing oil that you emulsify with water. I use the oil on my dry face and massage into my skin for as long as i like. I used it once with makeup on, you can totally see and feel the makeup melting off. As soon as you add water the makeup comes off completely. I find this cleansing oil is very effective at removing makeup and is perfect for someone with dry skin. Alternatively I have used the oil just to cleanse my face without makeup. After a minute of massaging the oil into my skin i can feel the dirt remove from my pores. It really is an amazing and effective cleansing product. -

I had the opportunity to try Covergirl's Simply Ageless Lash Plumping Mascara thanks to Chickadvisor and Butterly in exchange for my honest opinion. I am a big mascara wearer and go through mascara very quickly I am also very particular about what I like in a mascara. Firstly the packaging and tube are really eye catching. The purple and silver metallics are really pretty and instantly stand out. This mascara is also a 3 in 1 primer, serum and mascara which is great since you don't have to worry about buying or applying other products. The serum works to hydrate and nourish your lashes with hyaluronic acid and bamboo serum. The primer and mascara work together to give your lashes the best look. I noticed after regular use my lashes looked fuller and I was noticing less breakage. Lastly I really like the curved brush it helps give an instant lift when applying the mascara and was really great for getting every single lash covered with product. -

I had the opportunity to try Garnier Green Labs Retinol-Berry Super Smoothing Night Serum Cream 3-in-1 Night Moisturizer thanks to Chickadvisor and Butterly. This moisturizer is 3 in 1, a serum, moisturizer and eye cream. The moisturizer contains retinol and should be used at night only with SPF applied during the day. I love that this is a 3 in 1 product as skincare routines can be so complicated, timely and expensive. I like having one single product that can be used for multiple purposes. This product contains retinol which helps with wrinkle texture and skintone. I love that there is a bit of retinol incorporated in this product as my skin has not been able to handle higher concentrations of retinol. I began using this product every other day as advised to get used to the product as i have sensitive skin. After a week I can use it nightly and i do not experience any redness or irritation. After one use you will notice an immediate improvement in the appearance of your skin. -

I had the opportunity to try Thayer's pH Balancing Daily Cleanser with aloe vera thanks to chickadvisor and butterly. This is the first time I have ever used a Thayers cleanser product. The packaging is similar to all Thayer's products with the Thayer photo and red pump. It reinforced the Thayers brand and that I would have we using a product of high quality. You use the pump to dispense the cleanser into your hand, apply to your wet face, lather and rise. The cleanser doesn't have any harsh ingredients or any strong scents. I actually found the texture more liquidlike and it it lathered really well. My face felt clean and soft after use I didn't experience any dryness or irritation. I think this is an excellent product for people with sensitive skin like me. -

This particular serum is called Hyalu-Aloe as it is a combination of hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. As someone who lives a busy fast paced lifestyle sometimes less is more. It can be stressful to have a complicated and multi step skincare routine. I love that this product is 3 in 1 and includes a serum, eye gel and moisturizer all in one product. It really makes having an effective skincare routine easy and stress free. The product is also a gel like texture which i love. It absorbs really quickly into your skin and has a nice fresh scent. Your skin feels moisturized after use and it leave a nice matte finish which is perfect for putting makeup over. -

I had the opportunity to try L'OREAL Paris' Youth Code Skin Strengthening Serum thanks to Chickadvisor and Butterly in exchange for my honest opinion. The product comes in purple packaging which looks very regal and elegant. The serum comes with a dropper so you can control how much product is distributed. The colour is a bit milk and the texture is liquidy and smooth. My skin is a bit on the dry side so I was excited to dry this product to really help bring some moisture back into my skin. I applied this to my skin after cleansing and it absorbs instantly and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or tight. I found just a few drops did the trick even though my skin can be quite dry in some areas. After serum I also apply a moisturizer as well. The great thing about this product is that it can really be applied everywhere on the face including the eye contour and even the neck which is one place I usually forget to moisturize. The product aims to boost flow, smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores. Instantly I noticed my skin had a nice glow after using the serum. I will need to use the serum more long term in order to attest to the improvements to texture and appearance of pores. Unfortunately those things do not change over night! I'm excited to see the continuing effects of this product. -

Thanks to Butterly I had the opportunity to try Yes To Avocado Daily Eye Cream. This is a fragrance free eye cream that contains hyaluronic acid and is perfect for dry skin. I find I always have patchy dryness around the eye area so this was a perfect product for me. The product is very simple to use, just apply a small amount to fingers and dab gently around the eye area. I also noticed that I looked instantly refreshed after use. I would love to see the long term results. The product is also cruelty free. -
