I know they say a picture is worth 1000 words but here's another thousand to show how amazing Mohair is and what they've done for me! I always be grateful for how much they've changed my life. I highly reccomend Mohair Beauty Salon to anyone suffering from conditions which affects the growth of their hair, as well as if you want to look and feel beautiful!
Mohair Beauty is an excellent salon and their hair restoration work is absolutely phenomenal. No other salon in Vancouver, or in BC, offers the quality of product and workmanship they do. They are VERY AFFORDABLE and absolutely worth every penny. I've been to countless salons only to leave disappointed and broke. Mohair Beauty is the only salon I will ever trust my hair with. They are simply amazing at their hair restoration work and can really bring out the best you in! An absolutely wonderful Salon that everyone must come and try.
I have been a long time customer, and admirer, of Mohair Beauty and their work. Mohair has brought me out of the shadows of constant fear and turned me into the woman I've always wanted to be. The service here is just amazing! All staff are trained professionals who value confidentiality and are committed to making you not only look good, but feel good. They will always try to book appointments in a manner which is convenient for you and they'll follow-up with you to see how your hair is doing and if you're satisfied. Mohair is VERY affordable with top of the line quality products, they are understanding and open to helping clients with their hair needs without bias or judgement, and provide an excellent service as well as experience.
I've been suffering with Trichtillomania, its the urge to pull one's hair out. Its chronic and impossible to treat successfully. 11 years I've been pulling my hair out non-stop, I am COMPLETELY BALD with the exception of a thin hairline remaining. I am a young woman just entering my 20s from Surrey, hair is an important part of beauty for me, and I was just shattered to pieces knowing I'll never look the same. I've tried weaves, wigs, extensions, tracks, microlinks, everything to make me look pretty again—to make me look like me. But it was all so fake. Nothing I tried looked real on my head, until I found Mohair. Mohair changed my outlook on life and I'll never look back. All of the products and pieces I used before just reminded me of how bald I was. Nothing sat on my head correctly, the hair was bulky, tangled and purely frustrating—not to mention very expensive.
From Mohair Beauty, I have received their Free-Flow cap extensions. The beauty of this cap extension is that its sculpted to fit your own scalp shape and head size! This makes everything so much more comfortable and less noticeable, the hair moves so naturally with your head, it really feels like you're wearing nothing at all. The hair is threaded through the cap by individual strands, which gives me the chance to part my hair which ever way I like! You would imagine such natural and well structured work would be really expensive but its not even close! This is THE MOST AFFORDABLE beauty hair salon with THE BEST RESULTS! Mohair Beauty also gives you a FREE style with every visit; also, a FREE haircut and colour with your first extension set. Mohair Beauty offers the best selections of hair, using fine extra Russian virgin hair direct from the source (as in the hair is in a ponytail that was literally cut of the person's head). The only other supplier of this hair is another salon located in California.
At Mohair, I am saving more than $1000 a year. Like I mentioned before, I've tried everything. The years before entering Mohair Beauty, I spent about $10 000 total, trying to fix my problem as best as I could (this included but not limited to full head weaves, tracks, microlinks, wigs, extensions, and styling). Here's a cost breakdown of what I USED to spend:
- over $300, every 3 months, to have the whole head weave put back into my hair = $1200
- over $200, every 6 months, to buying hair = $400
Over $1600 I used to spend every year to maintain just "hair" on my head. Not including styling, extensions, re-tightening, or products to help maintain the look, and the "professionals" who affixed the hair continued to do a poor job, and lacked any creativity. This "hair" was wretched! It was dry, bulky, uncomfortable, and, most of all, it looked fake (I've included two pictures below of what the hair looked like before). Every hour the hair needed to be brushed and untangled (if I didn't do this it would look like some cat coughed up a hair ball). I was ready to break down, I was just paying for someone to tell me I looked sort of normal. I am forever grateful for what Mohair has provided for me.
Just the staff alone at Mohair Beauty Salon is amazing. They are comforting, encouraging, and do not mind spending more time on developing a look and feel that YOU really want. I was embarrassed before, I couldn't stand to look at myself, let alone another stranger; but at Mohair, they make you feel right at home and respect your privacy. They have polite knowledgeable staff who are always willing to satisfy and exceed your expectations.
Asides from their work ethic and always putting the client concerns first, what sets Mohair Beauty above all other competitors is their creativity and ingenuity. My scalp is bare. I have very little hair left, most of it remaining on the hairline (the very edge where the hair starts). It wasn't until coming to Mohair when I realized how lucky I was to even have this remaining hair. Mohair took advantage of these little bits of hair and seamlessly intertwined my hair pieces into something I've never experienced before. The wigs I had prior just sat on my head, but the wig Mohair Beauty gave me felt and looked like natural grown hair. They styled it in a manner which complimented my face and even did a french braid on the side for me (I've included a link to the photo below)!
They located SUPER close to the Waterfront Skytrain Station, only a 6 minute walk down Cordova Street and you're there!
With Mohair Beauty, the world needs to watch out for me! I enjoy life to the fullest and look forward to windy days where I can feel the wind blow through my hair. I've more than survived the waters, I swim with confidence! That dread of my hair falling off, I haven't felt that feeling in a loooonnnng time.
Mohair Beauty has made my life easier, more affordable and has just improved the overall quality of living. I am now a more self-confident and stronger person than ever. The hair they gave me is my hair. I look in the mirror, its my hair, not a wig. Thats how real it looks and feels! They gave me the opportunity to be me again!
