I had the opportunity to try Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum and I’m a fan! This serum is creamy in texture, which I prefer over the more liquid/oily based serums. It’s really lightweight and is fragrance free. I love that it provides easy coverage and blends well into my skin. I definitely feel and look more hydrated after use. After a few weeks of continuous use, I’ve noticed that my skin looks healthier and my texture is smoother. I think it’s my new staple! -

I had the opportunity to try Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel. I love that this is a gel! It’s super lightweight, easy to dab and blends effortlessly into my skin. I’ve used it both under my eye and below my brow line. So far, it’s helped with my dark circles and early morning puffiness. It’s also fragrance free, which I love! With continuous use, I’m hopeful that it will help tackle my crows feet! -

I had the opportunity to try Giant Edition Monopoly, as a free product to review. FYI, I love board games! I have a large selection of games, including both regular and junior Monopoly, that way all of the age groups are covered. Giant Monopoly is for ages 6+, and was still a lot of fun to play for us thirty somethings! It’s faster game play than regular Monopoly, with 2-4 people playing in about thirty minutes. Everything about this game is giant! (We set it up on our bed instead of moving our coffee table out of the way in the living room.) The game “board” is a large, colourful plastic sheet, so it’ll also be perfect for playing outside on the lawn in warmer months. It comes with four tokens - the schnauzer, top hat, car and shoe. Each token has their own property cards and “Million Money Meter” which is a dial to keep track of your money, instead of dealing with paper money while you play. Took the first round for everyone to get over not having actual money, but once we did, the game was super fun! And because it’s so fast paced, it kept everyone involved. This is a great game to add to any board game collection!

I had the opportunity to try DAP AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather Sealant, for windows, doors, siding and trim, as a free product to review. I’ve used different DAP products in the past for DIY projects at home but mostly for patch and repair work on a wall. This however is an all weather sealant, that is both UV resistant and still flexible at temperatures of -17• to 60•C. I used the sealant to re-caulk around the exterior of some of my windows. I’m really glad I did. The sealant was super smooth to apply, and I learned from my last mistake by cutting the opening to the tip a little smaller. A big bonus for me, is that there was literally no odour and clean up was quick, plus there’s a lifetime guarantee. I’ve already completed some other projects! Super happy with DAP AMP.

I had the opportunity to try Hero Mighty Patch Original. This is an emergency pimple patch, to help you rid your face of any zits, after leaving the patch on for 6-8 hours. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best of luck with the patches. When I get a blemish, it's generally a whitehead. I didn't find that the patch made too much of a difference after leaving it on. It dried up some, but was still there come morning. I wonder if they would work better on a red, pimple type blemish. I will give that a try when one pops up. Hopefully others have better luck! -

I had the opportunity to try the card game T@g Someone Who, as a free product to review. This game is a lot of fun to play! Think Cards Against Humanity meets scrolling through Instagram. There's a wide range of fun and colourful meme cards, so you're bound to have options to tag all of your friends with. You can play with 3 to 8 people, but it's best in a large group - the more the merrier! Some of the cards are pretty PG, but it's definitely for an adult only game night. Some meme card examples; "t@g someone who will be the most difficult old person to be around" to "t@g someone who sucks at mornings" to "t@g someone who is destined to become a cult leader". Mix with good company and adult bevvies, and you're in for a fun time! -

I had the opportunity to try Lancôme Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Anti-Aging Serum and unfortunately, I'm not a fan. Let me preface by saying that the packaging is absolutely stunning. If you want the look of luxe, this is it. However, the iridescent container is instantly covered in smudges and finger prints - you'll find yourself wiping down after every use. The concept of three different anti-aging power houses becoming one is a great idea. Each formula is supposed to squirt out of one of three holes. But my third hole was clogged the entire time I tried to use the serum. As a free product, this was annoying. But if I had purchased this for the high price of $170, I would be livid.
Using the serum itself didn't float my boat. Lancôme products have a fairly strong scent and this wasn't any different. Luckily it didn't last all day. I also didn't like the texture of the serum. That may have had to do with the missing formula. My skin was hydrated, but I didn't see any difference with my fine lines or dark spots. Without the third formula in play, I have no idea what was missing and if it would have made a difference with my daily use. I was just disappointed all around.

I had the opportunity to try NOMA’s Icicle 70 LED Lights in Warm White, as a free product to review. I received a 7’ strand of icicle lights, and we decided to use them for outdoor lighting in our backyard. First off, I always thought that icicle lights were a little hokey, but I love these! They’re LED, a nice warm white and the strands are two different lengths, which looks really pretty when they’re hanging. They feel a little whimsical! We hung them on the railing of our back deck, so that we would have additional lighting when we’re sitting fireside. I wish the strand was a little longer, but we have plans to buy a second strand to continue around the corner of the railing. It was super easy to hang the cord on finishing nails. The only downside for me is that the plug end could be a bit longer, for additional leeway so that the extension cord doesn’t show so much. But all in all, I love the effect of these lights! -

I had the opportunity to try Aveeno Tone + Texture Daily Renewing Lotion. It's meant to moisturize, exfoliate and even out your skin tone, for those of us with rough, bumpy skin. Which I have, on my lower legs and elbows. The lotion itself is really lightweight and absorbs well. It's also fragrance free, which is a plus for me! I would have liked another week of use prior to my review to see the full effects, but I can say that it's definitely an intense moisturizer, that left my skin both looking and feeling softer. Some of my skin's bumpy texture has already dissipated. With continuous daily use, this body lotion could be a game changer! I definitely think it's worth a try. -
