The Batiste is a good product that I would recommend. It is not as great as high end, but is good of you are looking for a deal on a budget. It also comes in scents. I tried the "Blush" scent that smells like a nice floral which can really help to refresh dirty hair if you have an odor (like after the gym)! It does work as expected to absorb oils and give some volume. It did not leave a white residue. -

After being told by stylists me how wonderful the volumizing powder would work for me,
I eagerly gave it a try. It sounded easy enough; sprinkle on palms, rub hands together to emulsify the product, then rub it in at the roots and coat the hair. It was really weird because right before my eyes I was getting volume!! My hair felt soft, definitely coated, but not crunchy, sticky or tangled. It was manageable to work with, soft and it felt really cool! When I got the volume I wanted and it was an evenly distributed height, I smoothed it with a brush on the surface and...Real volume that looks natural!

My EcoTools retractable cosmetic brush is made of recycled
aluminum ferrules and super soft bristles made of synthetic taklon.
The packaging eco-conscious including:
reusable pouch, post-consumer recycled plastic and recyclable packaging.
Only $7.50 average at most chain retail stores, not only is the brush AMAZINGLY soft,
it picks up and distributes my mineral powder foundation perfectly.
When I am done it retracts and compacts easily and without touching the bristles.
This keeps it clean and soft.
I am SO sold on this tool and will definitely try more products from their company.

is because 1 I always try new things, and 2 I have large pores and combination skin
that has been more oily lately…so I thought I would try a new brand to see how it
worked with my skin and maybe see an improvement.
I bought…
Revlon
Color Stay Aqua Mineral Makup
14.00
When I began applying the makeup, it felt like my brush was wet. I wiped it on my wrist to check but it was dry. I continued and again the brush felt wet and cool. It was SO Refreshing that I wanted to keep applying! Then it hit me… “aqua”. Revlon has added a chemical that makes it feel wet. COOL!
The color was also a really good match for my skin and it had good coverage.
Overall…. it was Horrible.
Yes, it did not look good at all.
Why? The makeup is SO thick that it does not blend into or on top of my skin. Instead it smooths on and stays put (hence the “color stay” promise). The more I tried to blend, the more uneven it looked and trying to add a little more just caked it on thicker and thicker above the skin.

I Have not tried Avon products yet so I ordered a few items. I shopped their sale section first hoping for an opportunity to save money and I was thrilled to find lip gloss on sale for $1.99!!! I love being able to try a new product without paying full price so that if I don’t like it, I am not at such a loss.

I love being able to try a new product without paying full
price so that if I don’t like it, I am not at such a loss.
The AVON package came today and I was Super Excited!
Among the many purchases were two lip glosses, of course.
The line from Avon is called
GLAZEWEAR Dazzle Lip Gloss.
The colors I chose are Plum Dazzle and nude shimmer.
I always chose colors in the nude and plum colors because of a trick
I learned from a make-up artist.
He said that to find a shade that looks most natural, pull your lip down
a bit and match the lip color to the skin just inside your lip line.
This is especially helpful for older women who have had color fade
from their lips over time.
My color is not in the red or pink or orange families of color, but the plum.
I choose nude for a glossy look with a bit of shine when I don’t
want to use color or when I have on a lip color and want to
add some shine over the top!
I tried the plum first. I was caught off guard.
When I rubbed my lips together and a bit of the gloss
touched the tip of my tongue,
it tingled from the slight chemical-ish taste.
I smelled it from the applicator brush and it did not smell bad at all and
had a hint of vanilla.
I am comparing it to what I am using now,
"Maybelline Shine Sensational" which purposely has a lot of flavor.
So it isn’t that the Dazzle from Avon is bad, it just is not as tasty as others!
As for the color, it is a perfect match! It does not contain a great deal of color;
just enough to tint your lips. I think it is a perfect amount.
The shine is Amazing!
It is the look of crushed diamonds…definitely
“Dazzling”, just like the ad!
It gives an illusion of 3 dimensional depth and it is wet looking
and thick but not at all sticky.
I would use a little during the day because I love make-up and all things sparkly. I would put a thick coat on to go out and certainly get noticed!
I did not know what to expect from a mail order make up brand,
but I am pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the packaging,
the wand and the product itself.
It is a comparable price as brands from the drugstore
and better than many I have already tried.
I don’t think that it is as long lasting
per application as MAC gloss,
but I don’t mind applying it a little more often
and having it feel less sticky than MAC.
I tried the nude shimmer and again I loved it for all of the same qualities.
The color is not what I expected as a nude.
It is definitely more gold/bronze color than nude.
If I use it sparingly during the day it will work fine, but I will only apply it thicker
when I want to go out with gold/bronze/browns color scheme for my make-up.
I would recommend this products 100% and I am absolutely going to
order more for myself for next month!
