Growing up, every sunday we had to go to chinese school for the whole day. I don't remember much from my days in chinese school except for the snacks and treats that we got after school. Growing up, it was a real treat to get these strawberry flavoured pocky sticks. The sweet strawberry with the pretzel stick goes really well together. I recommend everyone to try it at least once. -

I LOVE spicy food. Dorito's roulette is a fun game to play by yourself since you're really just looking for the spicy chip, and if you're like me you're really excited to find the spicy one lol. I remember a few years ago it seemed like there was 1 spicy chip for every 10 regular chips which was disappointing. But I recently purchased a bag and was delighted to find that maybe 1/4 of the bag was now spicy. Highly recommend also if you are taking a road trip and to keep the car ride fun, just play this! -

I love cream of mushroom soup and campbell's recipe is a classic. I remember growing up, one of the first things I learned to cook was pasta and cream of mushroom soup sauce. It's still a recipe that I make today because its so easy but so hearty, tasty and satisfying at the same time!
A recipe hack/tip: add canned tuna or canned salmon to the sauce and spinach and it creates a whole new different dish.

We love this brand in our house partly because it's what we can find easily (you can find it at Loblaws or Real Canadian Super Store) but also because I love that they are non-GMO, some of them are organic and you can get different varieties,
If you are interested in trying out miso paste, do not be overwhelmed by the size because before you know it, the container will be empty!

I am disappointed though that dried cranberries seem to always have added sugar. For this reason, we have limited the amount of dried cranberries we consume, so if sugar content is an issue for you, check the nutritional value on this before you eat it.

I first discovered Naked Coconuts Organic Soy Free Soy Sauce Substitute while shopping at whole foods and looking for a soy substitute. I immediately was drawn to Naked Coconuts since they are a Canadian brand. I marinated ans sauteed some king oyster mushrooms using the Naked Coconuts Organic Soy Free Soy Sauce Substitute and OMG it was amazing! We are not big meat eaters but the sauce had made the mushrooms taste like beef. I highly recommend it. You can find it at Whole Foods and Well.ca it is cheaper at Whole Foods but if you don't have a store near you, definitely check out well.ca -

We recently started buying SIlk products since we don't drink dairy. I love the smooth flavour of the silk almond drink, and the taste of vanilla is very subtle and goes well in baked goods like cakes or brownies and over cereal.

we love using apple cider vinegar and have been using bragg's for a few years now. I remember the the 2nd bottle i had, there was a gigantic round disc bacteria that had formed in the bottle so i had emptied out the entire bottle thinking it had gone bad. I know now that based on temperature and the yeast in the vinegar that the bacteria actually meant the vinegar was healthy (and it had developed a SCOBY much like in kombucha) and I had wasted it for nothing... so if you see this in your bottle, it's still safe to use! -
