Where ~ Salt Tasting Room - Blood Alley - Vancouver
What ~ Cheese, Meat and Wine
What a great concept.... Our server, Alex, was more knowledgeable about wine than I've ever seen anyone be knowledgeable about anything. Absolutely stellar. I was floored at how much he knew his stuff, down to the last detail.
I recommend ~ Be adventurous, choose your own cheeses and meats, then let them pair the condiments and wine!
Wine Recommendation ~ I recommend the wine pairing. It's only $15, you get 3 2oz glasses. Let them pair it for you. If you're looking to have a glass or a bottle I would recommend the Shepards pinot noir.
Price ~ $$
Verdict ~ Two *french manicured* thumbs up

I love BeautyMark because not only does it carry some of my favorite makeup brands, but they sell purses, undies, jewellery, accessories, clothes and random cute girly things! It'd definitely the place to go in Yaletown. They sell Spanx, Mini & Marge, Philosophy, Stila, Japonesque, Cargo, Archipelago, and many many more brands... Their staff is super friendly and helpful! BeautyMark does makeup applications, one on one lessons, and in store and on location wedding and special occasion applications. Head down to Yaletown for the day, have lunch at Milestones or Glowbal, and get some girly shopping done! I approve!

So considering that I have an entire dresser full of makeup(!!!), I find it hard to pick my favorites! However, it seems like everytime I can't choose, I revert to "ol faithful". What is my ol faithful? Benefit's Big Beautiful Eyes! The colour combination just makes your eyes *pop*. As usual with Benefit, it comes with full instructions that are 100% fool proof. I know there are 1001 brown smoky eye sets out there but this one really brightens up your eyes.

So we all know there are 8 million different room sprays, scents, mists and whatnot. I find that I am super picky about what I like my place to smell like, and I HATE fake smells. Aura Cacia is an all natural essential oil and fragrance company that I have come to love. I was wandering through Capers Market on Robson street the other night. As usual, I tested out all of the room sprays and one caught my...nose? Its the most delightful smell! (This would be vanilla spray number 11 that I have bought and by FAR my favorite). Go smell it! I guarantee you will buy a bottle for yourself and one for your best friend!
Find it @ Whole Foods Market (Capers)

What ~ Upscale sushi restaurant with a killer atmosphere
If you're a Vancouver city gal like me, you probably head up to Whistler every few months or so. There are a few solid chain restaurants up there, but we don't always feel like Earls or The Keg. We ventured up to Sushi Village a few trips back and have never ceased to be impressed with their food, atmosphere and service. Being the fact that it is a little more upscale, it is fairly pricy, but 100% worth it.
I recommend ~ Spicy Tofu (best spicy sauce on the West Coast), Double Hawaiian Roll and the Beef Tataki.

What ~ Every possible mexican dish you can imagine, killer cocktails and great salsa! Oh, and a great summer patio!
Las Margaritas is definitely one of my top 5 restaurants in the Vancouver area. They have every kind and combination of Mexican food that you could dream of (And almost as many margaritas...) Their food quality is definitely up there. This is no back alley mexican joint. Las Margaritas is a classy and killer restaurant. There is usually a wait, so make sure you bring some comfy shoes to walk down West 4th and shop in!
I recommend ~ Fajitas...Half steak, half chicken. And a coconut margarita! Perfect
