My very first thought on this product is that was too spicy for my kids. Unfortunately, I live in an era where anything flavourful is spicy. However, I liked it a lot! I thought it had great flavour! I also thought it almost looked and smelt like taco meat. Which would be a super fast alternative and its also vegan! Which I try to include at least one vegan meal in my diet each week.
I also thought this would be a excellent quick lunch if you're in a hurry, and trying eat a whole food diet.

I do find this product’s name is somewhat confusing, Pressed Serum? I was definitely expecting it to be a liquid because of the word serum, but its a cream. You can use it as your post Hyaluronic Acid Serum moisturizer! It’s thick and full of moisture. I did experience a hot sensation on my upper lip and the bottom of my nose when starting the Night Pressed Serum. It was quite uncomfortable but only lasted a few minutes and did not occur with every use. I am fortunate to be on a hot streak of great skin! When I started these Neutrogena products I had no dryness or breakouts anywhere to be seen. (Although I’m sure saying this out loud will jinx my streak!) And since I was required to complete my review of these two products only 7 days after receiving them I don’t feel comfortable definitively speaking to their efficacy. That is hardly enough time to see consistent results. I will still continue to use the products, I didn’t react negatively either and that isn’t something to discount either. -

The front of the packaging says this is a "cleanse tea with coconut", what does that mean? I find the mention of coconut somewhat interesting since it has zero coconut taste. There is a coconut scent but that even disappears when it is brewed too long. The details describe it as "green tea, herbal and spice infusion with natural flavours." GREAT! I drink a lot of green tea! I aim for a cup a day in the afternoon - to get me over that 1 PM hump. This will be perfect...
The thing is this green tea isn't green at all it's really lemongrass. I am sure there is green tea in there, I trust the teapigs brand. I have tried several and love many of their other products! The most dominant taste on my pallet was lemongrass; second, there is a very noticeable ginger flavour and maybe an aftertaste of green tea, That was a little disappointing.
The instructions are to boil water to 100 degrees and steep for 3-5 minutes. I usually heat my water to 90 or less when brewing green tea to avoid burning. So to me this is almost like teapigs is agreeing with me that this cleanse tea isn't a true green tea and is more like a herbal tea.
All things considered, I don't really enjoy the lemongrass flavour and since it's so dominant in this tea I would not buy it again. However, I know lots of people enjoy lemongrass and that this is a personal choice.

I like the JOICO K-PAK Color Therapy Luster Lock Glossing Oil! It's light and hydrating and also provide some quality shine. The JOICO K-PAK Color Therapy haircare line without the Luster Lock Glossing Oil would not have enough moisture for my natural curly hair. I need the moisture and this oil provided! I did use more of it than I do of my typical Moroccan oil, so I probably would stick to my current oil since this is also a prestige price point. -

I have tried to pinpoint the scent of this spray, it's light and subtle and kind of reminds me of coconut or piña colada, except its neither of those. This Luster Lock Multi-Perfector doesn't have any moisturizing elements. My color is holding up great and my hair doesn't feel like it is fried, but it could needs more moisture!

The conditioner is a very thin consistency, and I think that there is just a lot of water in it. I did find that the glossing oil helped with moisture but shampoo and conditioner alone were not enough. I even used more conditioner each time I washed my hair and left it in longer (like 5-10 minutes). My color looks great and my hair isn't fried or breaking regularly, but it could use more moisture. -

This shampoo smells like a salon. I speculate that this is because they are specifically hair-color therapy products and when I go to a salon it is typically for color therapy.
I did notice that they weren't as moisturizing as my current brand and I think this is because of the keratin. It's not advertized but it is in the ingredients on both the shampoo and conditioner. I have learnt in the last year that my naturally curly hair is very thirsty, and somehow connected to that, I shouldn't use proteins in my products more than every 3 or 4 washes. The proteins don't provide the moisture that my hair needs, or something like that. I definitely could feel the lack of moisture from this shampoo and conditioner, my hair was quite dry from repeated uses. Interestingly though, the JOICO Hydrasplash also has keratin but was way more moisturizing. My color still looks vibrant, but this shampoo on its own was very drying.

Thanks to ChickAdvisor and JOICO, I got to try Zero Heat Air Drying Styling Cream. This is perfect, because I’ve been home a lot these days and not putting any time or effort into styling my hair, lets see what this cream can do! Thank you ChickAdvisor & JOICO!! Now, I got it for free, but I’ll always be honest!
The model on all the campaign communications and on the box I was sent has these amazing curls. No where does it say that this is a curl enhancing treatment, but I expected it to be.
I have fine hair, with a slight curl. The longer my hair gets the less curl it has but I do have some curl. I assumed that this cream would create curls for me. Like look at that model!
Anyway, I got a beach wave with some gentle natural vibes. Not really what I expected. It did however give me really soft ends and long lasting smoothness.
Was I disappointed that I didn’t get model curls? Yes. Did I still like the product? Yes.
Thanks again ChickAdvisor and JOICO!

Thanks to FamilyRated& Becel I got to try the Becel Plant Based Brick, Unsalted! I usually buy butter (both salted and unsalted) but haven’t tried this yet, which is kind of surprising because I do cook a lot of vegan dishes. Thank you FamilyRated & Becel!! Now, I got it free but I’ll always be honest!
I left it on the counter overnight knowing I was going to bake with it in the morning. However, in the morning it was TOO SOFT it was unmanageable. I thought maybe I missed a notice that it has to be stored in the fridge, but it doesn’t say that! It should definitely live in the fridge, the foil is just too messy to be on a shelf.
The wrapper says it is 70% vegetable oil and 30% canola oil, but the two first ingredients are two types of palm oil. I know there is some controversy with palm oil, but they do say they believe in sustainable palm oil. Whatever that means.
The first test, Banana Bread. I bake the best banana bread recipe on earth from the Magnolia Table Cookbook Vol 1. I didn’t know it was possible, but the Becel made my already super moist and delicious Banana bread MORE moist! And it didn’t crumble like baking with coconut oil does. Baking Test: PASSED!
The final test, how can you really taste butter? On avocado toast! If I didn’t rub that Becel on the toast myself I wouldn’t know it wasn’t butter. Does that make sense? The Mr. agrees we can’t tell the difference, it is absolutely buttery. And I used it straight from the fridge – and it melted quickly and perfectly. (You should just store it in the fridge!) Toast Test: PASSED!
I’ll buy this again, I really want to try it in buttercream frosting, but alas I need to wait for some reason to make cake again. I am very dairy sensitive and the amount of butter in buttercream makes me sick. Every time. It is a sad thing to admit. But maybe this Becel can save buttercream for me! 🙂
Thanks again FamilyRated& Becel this was a tasty product to review!
