I didn't really know what to expect when I first got set up to try Van Houtte's Hazelnut Ice Brew. Hazelnut simulated at home with other other products like whiteners, syrups, and artificially flavoured beans have never come close to the delicacy that somewhere like Starbucks can make. And in terms of iced coffee, it's never really as strong as I want it to be, even with the "iced" selected in the Keurig. But this product from Van Houtte? Wow!! Seriously, WOW! The addition of instant coffee to the pods ensures that the melted ice doesn't water down any of the coffee itself, and the hazelnut flavour is so genuine to a high-priced drink you'd get at a café. All the strength, the authentic taste, I don't know why anyone would plan a morning stopover at a shop when you can have the same quality, no lines, for a quarter of the cost, *and* within a few seconds, at the pop of a pod and the press of a button from the comfort of your own home.
