I was down to the last of my pesos but had to have this! I've been using this for years, even before firming formula. I'm quite fair but the Medium to Tan works great on me. I put some on a few weekends ago and while my roomie had been away for the weekend, when he got back he walked in and said, "It was cloudy! How did you get such an amazing tan? You look so healthy!"
I told him it must have been through the clouds ;). No way I was going to tell him a) because I'm too vain! and b) he loves to go to tanning salon so I'm afraid he'd poach it!
It's a total steal, especially when on sale but. I did not like the Fair formula. It didn't work for me.

As I'm writing this, I just realized, the reason I keep trying different products is because this packaging isn't very sexy.
OMG! I'm so shallow! Maybe I should put it in a pretty bottle! :)

I was thrilled to be selected to try the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep because I've been having a heck of a time finding a moisturizer that works for my "very different" skin. Almost 2 years ago I nearly died (!) from Adrenal Insufficiency and was put on the life-saving drug, hydrocortisone (HC) which I take every day. I mostly have no side effects except good ones because my body needs cortisone, but alas, my skin has become VERY dry and quite thin, sort of post menopausal (says my Mum) without the wrinkles which is an unfortunate result of HC.
I'd been trying everything and wasting a lot of money. I was exfoliating a lot, then not at all, Vit C serum wasn't working as well as it had before I was on HC. I was frustrated and my skin looked pale and dehydrated and felt uncomfortably tight.
I had tried a few Vichy products before but hadn't been impressed enough to buy any again, but I was anxious to try this because it sounded like it might have at least some of what my skin needs and I was sick of wasting money. When the box arrived, I fell in love with the packaging (love pastels!) and really like the soft pink gel cream. Gels seem to absorb well for me.
At any rate, I didn't want to be too optimistic but was frankly shocked that first evening at the immediate rosy glow my skin had! Even my BF noticed. I thought I looked 10 years younger and that's because my skin is plumped up and no longer dehydrated. I have learned there is a world of difference between dehydrated and dry skin and before HC I was prone to dehydration and now that's what's worst. My skin is drier from the HC but I can still get whiteheads so it's not super dry.
I've been using this only at night for a week now and I go to bed glowing! But because it doesn't have sunscreen I haven't been using it during the day. This morning I used my regular (quite moist) sunscreen and my face feels like paper, so I'm going to wash again, apply the Skin Sleep and sunscreen on top of that. I may try their day cream only I'm not sure it will be rich enough.
Love the smell too!
I know dry/dehydrated skin is very aging and it makes me look ill. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is prone to dehydration or dry skin. This is the first time in over a year where my face looks and feels soft and healthy. I have color again!
ChickAdvisor also sent the Idealia Life Serum which I'll write about separately. Of note here: I think it boosted the cream's performance and I'm using it twice a day, but the jury is still out on that one!
I can't say enough good things about the Skin Sleep! I'm amazed I found my silver bullet. I will definitely buy this again because after all the searching, I feel, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

If I hadn't been reading CA I wouldn't have noticed Old Navy on my way home from work. I popped in last weekend and the flip flops were 30% off making them about $3. What a steal! Also got a t shirt & earrings, all 3 for under $22!

I love love love this cream. My only objection is the price yet I think it's worth it. I just can't afford to buy it too often because I must put hand cream in 19x a day. I recently got some free samples if their new scented hand creams (rise and vanilla) and I gosh, they were just lovely! Not too strong a scent, even my BF put a little rose on and couldn't believe how well it worked on his gardener'so hands. I almost freaked and told him to keep his mitts off my cream (!) and that I didn't want him smelling fruity! I'm usually very sharing, but not when it comes to my L'Occitane.
I wish I could get a job where I rec'd an unlimited supply of all L'Occutane products where I could just write about how great they are. I even love the packaging. Dying to try the dace creams but not in my budget yet.

Hemp makes me think of cloth and/or pit-don't ask me why and nothing wrong with that - I just don't want it associated with a beauty product. Pot potion, not so much!
I didn't before realize how much I'm drawn by packaging, like soft pastels, which is why I'm so excited to be selected to try Vichy Idealist!

Who doesn't have this in the bathroom cupboard? Good ol Vaseline. It makes me a bit nostalgic! I mainly use it on my hands for a weapons-grade moisture treatment at night. After exfoliating hands in shower, I apply me best hand cream while skin is still damp, slather on Vaseline and then out on cotton gloves and go to sleep. My hands are soft and silky the next morning. Works like a charm and so economical. -
I have extremely dry hands and find few hand creams that really do the job. This is one that is very effective and reasonably priced. It's not quite enough for me in the winter months but I still buy it for the rest of the year.

So sweet, pun fully intended! I always have a tube beside my bed and in my purse.

I am a lipstickaholic and can't STAND dry lips. Co sequent key, I must have 50 types scattered hither and yon. To date, this is my favorite. I just bought the lacquer balm and love it even more. Same quality, just a bit more moisture and shine. My au natural color is 105-very neutral.
