I received this product to review from Mary Kay, and I can happily say that after trying several mascaras and failing to find one that volumizes the way I like, my search is over! It works great! I don't think I would use it on my lower lashes because I imagine the wand would be too large to maneuver there, but it makes my upper lashes look great. If you can find a Mary Kay rep, get it! -

I received this lip gloss to review from Cover Girl. For a drugstore brand, I was surprised to find out it retails for a high price of $9. At that price, it's not worth it. The tube is also quite small.
I don't have any complaints about the lip gloss itself. Its fruity smell is quite pleasant and it doesn't stick. Also, when you remove the wand from the tube, just the right amount of gloss appears on the wand, and soon on your lips.
So if those are some factors that make a lip gloss great for you, this is something you may want to try. As for me, I'll keep searching.

I received this product to review from Cargo Cosmetics. I haven't been a big eye shadow user for several years, but this palette may just be the product to convert me back to the beauty junkie that I was in high school! I have only used about half of the colours so far, including the bright purple, brown and light pink, but I'm extremely satisfied with the way they show up. I can't wait to use them with the primer that I received from last week's ChickAdvisor event!
I find some of the colours to be way too wild for me, and I don't imagine I will ever use them. The palette is unfortunately quite large and takes up a lot of space in my small bathroom space, but it's nice to have an item that looks more special than the rest. At a steep price of $29 though, I don't see myself ever buying this for myself.
But if you're willing to spend the money for a good quality product and you like the colours, I strongly recommend purchasing this palette.

I must use this product on a daily basis, or else I'll succumb to my godforsaken nail biting habit. I decided to try it after I noticed how great the reviews were here, and you were all right! I've gotta hand it to you ladies, you know your stuff. This will always be a must-have in my purse. -

Ireceived this product from Upper Canada Soap, and I was very curious to try it. Even though it smells just like chocolates with liquid strawberry filling and feels exactly like souffle, I wouldn't buy it again because it's just too good for those reasons! Seriously, it makes constantly sniff my hands and crave chocolate!
However, if you think you can handle the delicious smell, definitely try it. It's great for dry hands during winter.

I had walked by this swanky hipster joint several times before one day entering its doors when I had time to kill. Although an emergency phone call prompted me to cut my visit short after barely taking a seat, the few sips I took of the decaf mocha had me ecstatic to return. As soon as us ChickAdvisor staffers decided the cafe would be our chosen Fun Friday milieu last week, I knew I would once again order the famed beverage.
Yes, it was just as good as I remembered it. Luckily, I got to enjoy the ambience as well this time. First of all, it's busy. Both times I was lucky to find a spot with my party. Once sitting though, I could appreciate the comfortable, well-lit and appealing atmosphere. It was never too loud to have a conversation - which might have something to do with all the studious caffeine-lovers surrounding us on their laptops.
Its location couldn't be better: at the Queen St. W and Chinatown border, it's the perfect place to unwind after a restless day of shopping or lunch on Spadina Ave.

I received this product to review from l'Oreal. First of all, I must say that it smells great - like apricot, to be precise. I have never used a cleanser that I can credit for good smell. So props to that, l'Oreal. Second, it comes with a 'scrublet': a cleansing disk that pops right out of the bottle that you use to wash your face. It makes washing your face fun! They should make a product like this for kids!
In terms of quality, the cleanser didn't cause any unusual blemishes, so I can't complain.

I received this product to review from Clean & Clear. I use it as an overall facial cleanser, not just as a blackhead reducer. It kept my skin just as smooth and generally blemish-free as the last cleanser I was using, which was Clinique's cleansing soap, which retails for a much heftier price.
Note that when using this Clean & Clear, you'll get a cooling sensation on the face (which I like, but may not be for everyone).

My heels get super cracked in the winter, and I am horrible with taking care of them, so I finally decided to do something about it and started using this product. It does a pretty decent job! Though my heels could still be smoother, the cracks were gone within a few days of using the product. At a steep price of $13 however, I would go with Vaseline instead the next time, which works just as well, if not slightly better (I tested both for a few days each). Vaseline also has more uses than one as we all know. -

I received this product from CoverGirl. When it comes to lengthening, it's amazing. It adds length (though after several strokes) with clumping at all. However, the mascara makes my lashes just a little more than natural, and I prefer to have some volumizing in there. I am still eager to try CG LashBlast in the orange tube, which apparently does more than just lengthen.
However, if you're looking for length and only length, I 100% recommend it.
