Though it's hard to measure how effective hand sanitizer is, I like this product because it has become a staple of mine during this flu-infested winter, and it's nice that with a scent, it offers a little more than the regular hand sanitizer does. Mine is Orange Cantaloup, and it comes in four other scents.
I received this as a gift, but it's probably something I wouldn't buy for myself. Seeing as Purel is less expensive, I'll switch to that once I run out of this one. Even though I like the fact that it's scented, I'd rather invest in scented shampoo, facewash and hand cream.

This fast food joint is a basement whole in the wall that I stumbled upon while looking for a cheap place to get decent food for lunch one day. I must admit, I was skeptical when I first saw it, but I put all my trust in the sticker in the window that said it was award-winning. As soon as I walked in, all skepticism was lost! The place was packed, and it was clear that I was among a cult of burrito-lovers boasting in the greatest of this well-kept secret.
To avoid looking like a rookie like I did, I'll tell you to be prepared to get a number, but know that you must pay for your meal before you can physically get your number. The wait (at lunch time on a weekday) was about seven minutes long after paying. There are only two places to sit down, so don't count on being able to eat there.
I must say that when I finally ate my burrito, I was a little disappointed. I had the bean and cheese one, which is probably the least exciting thing on their menu, so I'll blame it on that. I was by no means terrible, but could have had a little more taste to it. Still, I'm planning on returning, and I'll probably order something with meat in it next time. The portion, however, was more than sufficient for the price.
They also had another award on the wall that said "Best Late-Night Munchies." Seeing as it's right in the Entertainment District, I can see why.

This eye liner goes on smoothly and looks good on, but it doesn't last. I always have to keep sharpening it. I couldn't even remember when I had bought the eye liner I was using before this one (it's probably a good reason that I'm no longer using it), but I bought this one less than two months ago and it's already pretty short.
However, there's a sponge on the other end for smudging if you're into smokey eyes. I only experimented with it once and didn't really like the results, but maybe I wasn't patient enough.

My problem with it is that it doesn't do what it says: volumize (it's in the product name). Even though it does live up to the second half of its promise (curving), you'll know from my past mascara reviews that volume is the prime factor for me, and this one does not give my lashes enough of it. -

My mom gave me this lip gloss that I believe she received in a complimentary Clinique gift bag. I usually wear it over top of my a Clinique lipstick. The gloss is very light, which I love. I always worry about gloss showing up on my teeth, which I never have to worry about with this one! Plus, the gloss is double-sided, with a mascara on the other end! Now who doesn't love a two-in-one? I don't usually carry mascara in my purse so it's convenient to have this one in case I'd like to touch up. It's a very light mascara though - my lashes need more thickness, so I only use this one for touch-ups. -

My cousin and I had dinner here last fall before attending a TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) screening. The restaurant was jammed, but the manager kindly showed us to a table as soon as we walked in. At first, I was far from impressed with our waiter. When he first came by to take our order and we hadn't decided yet, he told us to hurry up because the restaurant was busy! Luckily we were in good spirits so weren't too phased by it. We ordered a salad, I can't quite remember which one, but it was delicious! I believe it had some pear in it. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was more than enough food. The portion was actually a little offsetting.
However, when the time came to pay, the manager who sat us earlier came to our table and asked us if we were celebrating anything. We weren't. She told us we looked like we were having a good time, and that DINNER WAS ON THE HOUSE.
My cousin and I were both astounded. We felt like we had gotten punked. We were like, "Ok, where are the cameras?" So, we figured the best thing to do take the free meal, leave a generous tip and get out of there before our luck got the worse of us!

When I curl my eyelashes, I especially like how it defines my upper lashes, adding even more curl to them. However, I don't like using it on my lower lashes as I find it makes them look spidery. I also don't find it thickens my lashes enough. -

I received this product from the Body Shop. I have been wanting to try the Body Shop's Body Butter for years, but never bought it myself because of the price. So I was pretty excited to try this product free of charge.
I am happy to say that it was worth the wait! This product is in a category of its own when it comes to lotions. It leaves my skin sooo smooth, and very few products I've tried can rival it.
I probably wouldn't purchase because it is more than double the price of other lotions. They may not meet its standards but are still pretty good. I might buy it as a gift for a friend.

I received this product from Vaseline. Vaseline is one of the few brands I can trust when it comes to lotion, and as usual this one did not disappoint. I actually hadn't used Vaseline lotion in quite some time; turns out I didn't know what I was missing.
The lotion goes on smooth, without leaving my hands sticky afterward (that was my complaint about the last lotion I used).
I received the lotion in Vitamin Burst. It's a pleasant scent, and by no means overwhelming.
The price isn't anything to shout about, but knowing it's a guaranteed hit, and that it's available at any nearby drugstore, I would purchase it.
